"Mara is waiting for you... you can't give up now," Cara muttered under her breath as she held the hands of Mara's mother. Roy was startled as she sighted Cara striving to keep her alive as she seemed to degenerate based on her condition. Despite the tryings of Laurel to take away her pain and help her start her healing process, it wasn't enough to ignite her healing abilities. She was too weak to do anything. Her eyes were slightly opened and her voice faltered as she tried to convey her words faintly. Cara could hear her utter Mara's name. She perceived the scent of Roy and Laurel and without having to turn her head to notice them, she called out to him, screaming out the name of Roy and Laurel so they would do everything to save her as she herself was already out of options.Staring at Mara's mother in the face and being helpless reminded her of what she experienced when she was still young of age and again, it was the time she lost her parents where she had to run away from her pa
Roy and Kyle rotated on a spot and took a minute to glance at their surroundings. Everything was so different from what they were used to as it wasn't what they were expecting when they got to the city. Roy and Kyle jumped down from their horse, including Abel after he told them they won't be able to go further into the city all because they would be the subject of the people they come across. They met a few women at the town so very close to the city. They all stared at them as they sat on their horses. They looked different, even their wears doesn't look like they were from the city. Roy noticed the expression on their faces and took it as an amusement. That was probably the reason why he harkened to Abel's suggestion and got down from his horse. They all walked upfront side by side with each other and in no time, two vehicles passed by. Roy was startled and thrown into a muse at the sight of the Car that passed by him. Kyle was also surprised as his lips were slightly opened. They
Roy took a slight glance at Abel but Abel looked away as he could not make eye contact with him. Roy chuckled and looked at the men that stood before him, solemnly with a straight face. Kyle moved closer to Roy and stood by his side while Abel stood behind them. "They're wolves," Kyle muttered under his breath as he referred Roy. Roy nodded his head at Kyle's words. He seemed to have known that in the first place the moment he bumped into them. That was probably the reason why he ignored Abel and not unleashed his wrath on him, knowing he could not have been the one who rat them out and considering the fact that he was a hunter who hunts down werewolves, it's definitely not him. The building itself was set apart as where it was seemed like an area that has never been inhabited before. It was impossible for others to detect the place even though something was going on as people never tred the site."We don't have much time, Kyle... you'll have to go without me," Roy said in low tone.
Roy shook his head a second time as he pressed on with his gaze on the lady in black who stood right in front of him. He uttered her name again and wondered how it was possible for her to be present at the site at the moment. The last time he checked, Caroline died in his arms and he regretted his actions for not being able to protect her. Whenever he had to remember her, he would always blame himself for her death. Since she was the first wolf he would have a thing for. The lady looked at him in silence, she had no idea what he was rumbling about. Abel got closer to Roy and tapped him, seeing the way he staggered on the ground like one who had lost his balance."Roy, you have to do something... they are not friendly," Abel whispered into his ears and stared back at the lady to notice her, knowing that she might make a move at them any moment. Roy closed his eyes and took a deep breath in such a way that his chest could be seen as it pumped up and downward. He opened his eyes and sigh
Roy and Abel rode on the horse they left back after which they got out of the forest into the city. Though it was three horses they left back at that time and when they got there, they met the horse. Roy pondered why it was three since Kyle had been long gone and he should have taken his horse and rode it back to the building. Roy became quite worried but yet, believed that everything was okay with Kyle since he was also an experienced wolf. Roy ushered Abel so he would get on a horse and ride with him back to the building. They yelled and tapped the horse so it would start moving. They crushed through the thick forest while the horses neighed as they both ran fast in an attempt to meet up with Cara and the rest of the pack who might already be wondering why they were not yet back.Abel spied on Roy and since he rode behind him, it was possible to do that with him noticing. In such a short period of time, he got to know who Roy was. Maybe he didn't know that much but yet his time with
Roy stood on a spot right in front of a tree, He folded his arms together as they rested on his chest. He sighed like one who was confused in his thoughts. He blew some air slowly with his mouth. He brought his hands behind his lower back and took a step forward so very close to the tree. He had nostalgic recollections of what happened back in the city. The face of Allison became more clear ever since he left the city. He could not fathom the thought of seeing someone he'd thought of as dead a very long time ago since when he was young. The thought of Allison brought back the good memories he had with Ethan since he also knew about Caroline. "She has her face, even her stature," He muttered and sighed. "but why was her voice and name different from hers," He said and scratched his head. He walked back and forth and decided to sit under the tree. He shook his head and rubbed his face with his palm. He looked so confused. Even the expression on his face could let anyone notice that. He
Isabella's POVI've been in the city for a very long time ever since my parents were alive. though it was my sister, she was far more older than I am and since I don't know my father, I lived with my sister and we lived with a few other pack down the street. Though we were few in numbers and our territory was not that large. Unlike other packs, they were always used to fighting each other to gain power but we all trusted Brian, the Alpha of our pack. He was s good Alpha and not driven by power. We all look up to him and so does he as he would always look out for us. I can't speak for the relations of all packs in this place but back in the forest- The way you stared at me in amusement like it would be first time hearing me spit these words out of my mouth and it was no different from the looks of my sister. That's funny right, I know, you don't have to tell me. What I meant by my words at first was the fact that back in the city, half of the wolves were droven by power. Wolves killing
Roy sat still like he was thrown into a muse by the story he had just heard from Isabella. He sighed and shook his head in silence and directed his sight back on her. He could not explain how he felt towards her story. He nodded his head and eventually spoke out. 'You did well, even for taking care of her like she was your daughter," He placed her hand on her shoulder and smiled at her. Isabella was about to thank him when they looked up in response to a sound they heard. The sound came from the door. Cara showed up as she had coughed. Though she didn't hear the whole story, she heard enough about Isabella not being Mara's mother. Isabella was shocked, she took her eyes off Cara and directed them towards Roy as she was scared that Cara might eventually break the news out to Mara and that was the main thing she feared the most. Roy wagged his head as a sign of relief but she does not seem to agree with him since she did not really know Cara. She had no idea that Cara was Roy's mate, a
