Roy slightly opened up his eyes. The first thing his eyes caught was the triple arrow right in front of his eye. It was held by a big iron. Maybe that was to him as he had never seen such a big iron once before but it was a big machine and the machine was in control of keeping the arrows at bay and to fire them up. Only what was needed was a single button, if pressed would release the arrow and would probably struck Roy right on his head and eyes.He coughed and peeked at his injured site. There were dried leaves placed on his wounds and that had been used to drive out the poison that invaded his body through the arrow that was fired at him. The liquid that was squeezed out of the leaves were used to hasten his healing process. He shook head and wandered around with his eyes in the place he was kept.He sighted a few men who sat on a wooden chair a few stride away from where he was. He heard another footsteps coming from behind him. Three men soon passed by him, they carried some boxes
Cara's POVRoy, I'm confused as I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried to find answers but no matter how I tried, I kept on bumping into a dead end. What am I to do, Roy. Please teach me... These hunters, the only thing we knew of them was the fact that they hunt down werewolves and kill them. And now, it's been up to four hours since you've been captured and now I don't want to be pessimistic but I'm starting to lose my hope and that makes me more scared. I feel fear within me. It as if my heart wants to hammer its way out of my chest. What am I going to do without you. It's been a long time since I feel this way.... Why now, why me... why must I have to face this all over again. I can't lose you, Roy. Mara lied to us, she tricked us into going after the hunters. They knew how powerful you are and also knew you can't be captured if you stay back at the pack. They were Smart enough to have known what you were going to do. That was the only one thing Mara had been right about but
Cara hurried and got down from her bed. She immediately washed her face but yet, thought about the dream she dreamt before waking up from her sleep but decided to question Mara first if her dream and her story would be connected in some way. That would probably give her a head on. She walked out of her room and closed the door behind her, making a loud bang. She walked hurriedly across the narrow path of the residence. She got to the doorstep where they've always held their meetings. She opened up the door and walked inside. She sighted Mara as she was made to kneel right at the front of Roy's chair. Cara walked on and looked back to notice her. Mara also noticed Cara but won't look up at her. Vivian soon came in with Shaw and they both stood beside Laurel and Priya.Cara sat down and closed her eyes. She got up immediately and in a swift stood in front of Mara. Mara whimpered the moment she spot her shadow stood in front of her. Cara wanted to unleash her wrath upon her but she could
Roy grunted as he bled from his lips right in front of the members. He grunted again as he was being hit with an iron rod. Bryan hit him again and again until he bled a second time. "Now watch him, see how he does it," Bryan said and pointed his finger at his lips. Roy grinned and stared at him with a sinister look. His cut healed up immediately and the blood on his lips faded away. The members were surprised by what they saw as most of them have never seen a wolf healed before while some have seen but have never see one as fast as Roy."Soon, you all would have the same ability as his," He exclaimed. The members again rejoiced and danced. "You all won't have to fall sick... you'll be like them but not an animal like them... we'll use our strength for a good cause," He said with a loud tone. He raised his head up do that his eyes was directed towards the ceiling. He stretched both of his hands sideways on either side and closed his eyes. The members all chanted his name for a while.
The wind rustled through the trees and blew inside the building through the windows that were left opened. Roy opened his eyes at that moment. Though he wasn't asleep but had been awake since the time he had been captured. That probably had to his weakness as his face looked paled. He grunted and sighed. He gazed at the arrows that were right in front of him and close to his head. He looked up and sighted the men that were behind the machine that was in control of the arrows. They were in charge of it as they had been stationed there by Bryan to watch over him and should press the button if things were to go sideways with Roy.Roy had no option, he had to stand still and wait for an opportunity if there would be one. He directed his sight at the window and could see it was dark already. "Cara, hold up... I'll find a way to get to you," He uttered his words with low voice and his lips partly closed. He called out to the men that were watching over him and requested from them with a fa
Roy fixated his eyes on Bryan while the rest of his guards also watched closely as he shivered on the bed, constantly. His head shook itself, spontaneously and swiftly. He seemed like one that was in shock. Roy chuckled at the sight of Bryan's state while his men pondered as to what was going on. One of Bryan's men requested from the other if they could switch off the machine as Bryan did in the first place for the guard that took the first test. None of them could respond nor give him quite a direct answer as they were confused and had no idea of what they should do. Bryan soon screamed out but something was off about the blood that kept on flowing into his body. It seemed to flow faster than usual and. The intensity of his shivering get more high. Roy shook his head as his state seemed to be different from what happened to the first guards. "What's the matter with him... who is this Bryan," He muttered under his breath and watched closely as his eyes were fixated on Bryan. One of B
Cara suddenly stopped and raised her hand up, making a fist with it. Everyone else stopped and fixed her eyes on her with all seriousness. She closed her eyes and tilted her head sideways. She seemed to be focused as she was trying to get the next direction she was to take. It was dark already and almost the middle of the night. The moon lurked around the sky as the clouds looked like they were moving. The trees shook their leaves and made whooshing sound. Cara opened her eyes and jumped down from her horse all of a sudden. She ordered the rest of her crew to hold on as she would advance and walk upfront to scout the entire place where they were as she seemed to have lost track of where she was going. Laurel immediately spring into the air from her horse and perched down right behind her. She had done that after which Cara finished with her words. She stood up, erect and questioned Cara about what she was trying to do. Though she was the only one who knew their destination but to Laur
Roy grunted as he was stricken on the face by Bryan. He closed his eyes and opened it up again. Blood gushed out from his nostrils as his eyes looked blurry. It was not the first hit he was going to receive as Bryan had tortured him countless of times before he lose balance of himself. He shook his head sideways and grinned. He took a deep breath in and exhaled. Bryan bursted into laughter and stared at his hands in amusement. He felt a sudden surge of energy that ran through his veins and had decided to use it on Roy. Roy felt the impact of his blows and pondered if the test really worked on him. His confidence, the way he spoke, he sounded bold and with no fear. He acted like he could take on Roy on, all by himself. "Do you know one thing Roy," Roy looked up and made eyes contact with him. He was so eager to listen to what he has to say to him. Roy gulped as he felt a slight pain right on his cheek. "You didn't believe me when I told you I was going to be like you without having t
