"How dare you!" Leon spat, his voice trembling.

August smirked and said. "How dare we? How dare you, Leon, think you are worthy of respect after your pathetic display?"

Lisa chimed in, and said with a smile on her face. "Uhmm poor boy, are you angry that August's upgraded to luxury, and you are still stuck in the dumpster?." She asked him.

Leon could not refute her words because he knew she was right. August was the CEO of a big company whereas he was just the CEO of a struggling company.

The onlookers watched in stunned silence, their faces reflecting shock and discomfort. Some looked away, embarrassed for Leon.

August continued as she said in a sarcastic voice, “Just don't get your hopes too high, because you were a laughable mistake."

Lisa nodded her head quickly as she added, her words razor-sharp. "A mistake that's been corrected, thankfully. August's moved on to better things, and you are still stuck in the past."

Leon's anger boiled over, but his words were lost in the battle o
