"I'm really sorry, Quinny. I messed up, and I honestly know it now," Maurice pleaded. He had never been so scared in his life. He was honestly terrified of dying.

"I would never hurt you, Quinny. I was just trying to scare you. I swear I never meant to harm you. It was all Araminta's idea; I had nothing to do with it. I know I've made a mistake, Quinny," Maurice said as he dropped to his knees.
