"Excuse me, sir. Did you get any underwear? Your girlfriend probably needs those too," the cashier gently reminded him.

It hadn't really occurred to Xavier, so he went back to the shelves to pick out some underwear.

Kimberly stopped following and went to pay for her purchases.

Kimberly tried to convince herself that Simon was the better one. After all, they had been together for five years, and those five years had been quite good.
