As soon as Xavier made contact, Quinn immediately opened her eyes.

She had been living such a perilous life in recent years that she had become highly attuned to her surroundings.

Yet, upon seeing that it was Xavier, she closed her eyes again. She was utterly exhausted since she had been shouldering the burden of numerous crises alone all these years. She was, after all, just a young woman who was barely 20 years old, so it was natural for her to feel drained.

"You can go back to sleep," Xavier murmured tenderly.

Quinn remained silent. She simply nestled in his embrace and went back to sleep.

Given her chronic sleep issues, getting a good night's rest had always been a luxury. She was so exhausted that she couldn't even muster the energy to care about anything.

Xavier carried her directly to the main bedroom. After settling her on the bed, he gently took off her shoes and covered her with the blanket.

"Good night and sweet dreams, Quinn." A good night's sleep could work wonders
