(AUTHOR'S NOTE: This novel is original and a pure fiction. Every character in here is born of my imagination. Any resemblance to real name, person or event is purely coincidental. Enjoy reading!)*Ding, Ding, Ding* The dinging sound of the large wall clock catches her attention, causing her to open her almost droopy eyes quickly. She sits up straight on the big plush L shaped couch and looks at the clock which tells her that it is midnight now. With a loud and tired sigh, she gets up and goes out to stand in the balcony and starts looking down ahead at the alleyway. Desperate! This is what she is feeling now as she is waiting for her husband to come home. When after waiting for five more minutes, she could not see any car coming down the alleyway, she goes back inside and pulls out her phone before sending a quick text to her husband. 'Ruc, where are you?' -Itzel. After sending the text, she waits for another five minutes but still did not get any reply. As always! But she decides to
"Dmitri!" A baritone voice calls him out and he immediately switches his attention towards that voice and finds his boss standing there. Mr. Black! He is a man in mid fifties, with graying hair and a slightest bit pot belly. Bowing a little, Dmitri greets his boss."Good morning, Mr. Black!" The man only nods curtly before telling him to follow him into his office. After reaching his office, he lets Dmitri sit on the chair right across him and gives him a file to go through. As Dmitri looks over the given file, his eyes hold shock. "Mr. Black, why are you showing me this file?" He knows just how stupid this question of his must be sounding, but he could care less about it right now as he has to clarify as to why he is being given this case. Being a hitman may have its perks but sometimes, it is just a pain in the ass! Like right at this moment! "What kind of question is that, Dmitri? You are here for your job, and this is your job! Your next job!" His boss tells him authoratively not
The delicious smell of butter roasted chicken hits the nostrils of Dmitri, causing his mouth to start watering. It has been a whole day of him staying in the Singh mansion now. Now, it is six in the evening and he, being the butler in this mansion, supervises the cook on what all to prepare for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast and lunch were just plain and boring for him as he had to do all the butler work without having anyone to motivate him. Well, by motivation, he means his Itzel! He just longs to see Itzel! And, there is still no sign of her in the whole house. The whole afternoon, he was sneaking in and out of Mr. Singh's home office, in hopes of getting his hands on something that would be the proof if he is innocent or not. But to his bad luck, he could not find any such thing in there. Mr. Singh appears to be a real clean businessman, but he can't be so sure about him now that someone has put a hit on him, and for some serious matter. Not to say, Dmitri will keep looki
"Mhmm.." A moan escapes Itzel's lips when she feels something furry brush against her skin. Slowly, opening her eyes and then squinting them to adjust to the morning light. And the first thing that comes into her sight is the butt of Ginger. "Argh!" Groaning lightly, she picks her up in the air making her face towards hers. "What is it, Ginger?" She asks to which she meows loudly and she understands what her problem is! Ginger is hungry! She tilts her head to the side glances at the clock on the nightstand and finds that it is already twenty past nine in the morning. Uh, oh! She has slept a lot today. Not that it matters to her in any way though! Now even her parents have stopped bothering her, thankfully. Putting Ginger down on her bed again, she rubs her eyes to get rid of the sleepy haze left in them. Then something comes into her mind...yesternight, she saw Ruc in her dreams! But why? Why after long two years, he is coming into her dreams again? It has been a long ago since she h
The loud music blasts through across the room, and to this, dances Itzel in a very wild and sultry way. Not that anyone is right here to see her dance that way! Not all the time can she feel this carefree and light. So, she is enjoying every bit of it till it lasts, without any disturbance. Because she is well aware that when her mother will feel agitated by the sound of her loud music, she would definitely come into her room and for her to stop it right away. And as Itzel has expected, the door to her room creaks open. With a sigh, she turns off the music and whirls around only to find...not her mother, but their new butler, Mr. Taylor! What? What is he doing here? It can't be that he would have heard the blaring loud music! Because he stays on the ground floor, and her parents stay on the first. So, it could have been possible that her mother would have told him to come here and tell her to turn it off? Maybe? "What is it, Mr. Taylor?" She asks him in a rather pissed tone. Yes, she
The door of her room creaks open just a bit slightly, and through that small crack, Itzel pokes her head out as if peeking around her discreetly. After making sure that no one is around at this moment, she takes a step out and tiptoes towards the staircase. When she finally reaches downstairs, she again hides herself behind a thick pillar and looks for the presence of anyone but finds none, which is kind of weird! She knows that her parents and brother would not be a problem since her father and brother are not home yet and her mother is maybe fast asleep, taking her beauty nap. It is only four forty in the evening. But other than them, not a single servant or maid is here right now, which is quite unusual. And not even that nosy and irritating butler, Mr. Taylor is here! For that, she can be thankful though! Not giving much thought it much, she dashes towards and out of the main door. But what she fails to take notice of is that her nosy Mr. butler, Dmitri, is keeping a hawk eye on h
With squinted and scrutinizing eyes, Mr. Singh looks him up and down before settling his gaze back on his eyes. "Why are you asking about her? Have you not been told to not count her in for any meals in the mansion?" He asks Mr. Taylor. "Oh, about that, Mrs. Singh has earlier told me that she is at home today and that I have to count her in for dinner as well. But I have seen her going out at around five or something in the evening. And she is not back yet. So, I thought of just asking you if she has come back yet." Says Dmitri, trying to pick out if he has any idea as of to where she is gone. But now looking at his frowning face, Dmitri is sure that Mr. Singh too is unaware of the whole situation, just like Mrs. Singh and their son. And, looking back at the way how Itzel was sneaking out is enough proof to be able to say that she has not told anyone where she has been to! 'God, this girl will surely drive me crazy!' Dmitri whispers to himself mentally while closing his eyes and purs
Itzel's face gets morphed into one that of frustration as she shuts her eyes tightly before exhaling harshly through her nostrils. "What is it?" She questions him looking the least bit interested in this conversation. Gulping, Dmitri looks at her vexed expression before letting a small bit of smile to hover over his lips which Itzel can't quite seem to catch. "Okay, it is about your mother..." He starts but is soon cut off curtly by Itzel's irritated voice. "That you have already told me, have you not? I know that she is asking me if I have had dinner or not, and I said yes to you just a while ago! So, what else is there to ask?" She rants out at Dmitri who just manages to stand there while listening to her ranting. To say the least, he is surprised, by this kind of behavior of Itzel. As far as he knew, she was never this impatient. Infact, she was the sweetest, naive and the most patient person he ever knew two years back. Dmitri was the impatient one in their relationship of six m
It has been a whole week since Itzel got kidnapped, for real! Ruc had dropped her at the Singh mansion right away after rescuing her from that evil Alexeyv Dmitri. Itzel wanted to say it back to him at that very moment, she wanted to say 'I love you too, Ruc!' to him but something stopped her from saying so. Like some supernatural force had put a knot on her tongue. But she plans on saying it today! At first, Itzel was not sure if she should or not, thinking that then she would have to tell him everything about her 'condition' so as to convince him to forget her and be with someone else, as much painful and heart shattering it would be for her. But turns out that her ma had already told Dmitri everything just on the next day of her returning home. When Itzel confronted her by asking her why she did so, she simply told her that she could see how she was suffering from the inside by not being able to choose the right thing, which is to forgive Dmitri, tell him everything, and then be w
Dmitri sits down on the coarse, wet ground as he feels his ears ringing and heart palpitating. Placing a hand over his thudding chest, he closes his eyes briefly and takes in a long breath in before exhaling it through his mouth. 'You can do it!' He tells himself as if giving himself a pep talk. 'For your Itzel!' With that, he stands up again and after one last deep, calming breath in, he starts running towards the entrance of the old, worn out warehouse where they must have kept Itzel. Dmitri knows for a fact that he has been keeping her here only as this is basically the base of all his kidnappings and shippings. For him, Alexeyv Dmitri is nothing more than a vile, cruel man! Even if he is his biological father! That man is the sole reason why Dmitri had to push his love away from him, thinking that if she stays away, he would spare her. But now, Alexeyv Dmitri has some other plans. He is set to use his Itzel for heinous crimes that would profit his illegal business! But, to hell i
All the curses and badmouthing which her father had thrown her way after she had gotten into that horrible accident, are still so fresh in her head! He never once did think how all of these would affect Itzel. What really mattered to him is how he would manage to get her into a marriage again! In these two years, Mr. Singh had tried everything in his power, had consulted every other doctor and specialist to find a way to reverse her, well, 'condition', as he liked to call it. But none of it worked in his favor. How could it have, anyway? Itzel simply does not possess a uterus anymore! The only options for her to have a child, if she ever wants one, is either to have a surrogate or to adopt. Though she does not have any problem with adopting a child in the future, she is not quite sure about it. Like every other woman in this world, even Itzel wanted to have her a child of her own, to get to feel everything that a pregnant woman feels! But alas! She does not have that privilege anymore
'The fuck you are!' Itzel all but wants to yell at his face but refrains herself from doing that. God knows what else Dmitri would do to her and maybe, she would lose her control and sanity all at once. "No, you are not." Itzel mutters stubbornly. But Dmitri just smiles fondly at her showing his pearly whites."So, I was right." He mumbles causing her to frown. "You are just in denial!" Then he lets out a small laugh. "Take your time, Itzel! But remember that in the end, you are mine." As he says this, a shiver runs up her spine causing the small hair on her nape to stand up in attention. Itzel used to feel this way whenever she saw Ruc either angry or dominant on her, and she even felt the same way whenever Mr. Taylor went all so commanding on her! Then, is what Dmitri saying true? Well, it is! And Itzel is aware of it. But is she ever going to admit the same to Dmitri? No, perhaps never! Even if she wants to get back with him now, she could not. She would be just ruining their life
A smile creeps onto Itzel's face as she watches her mother sleep on the bed peacefully with a hint of a smile on her own face. She looks happy, contented even in her sleep. Looking at the wall clock, Itzel lets out a long breath. It is now three in the afternoon. She has been here for the last two hours. But it is all worth it after all. She has managed to pull her mother out from self hate and guilt to some extent. Well, it was quite difficult to convince her that she had not murdered Mr. Singh but at least she told her that she does not hate her for killing him. And, that worked pretty well for them. Seems like Anu is not sad and guilty because she thinks that she had killed Mr. Singh but because she thinks that now her daughter would hate her for killing her father. After talking with her mother and then feeding her some healty porridge lovingly and tucking her to bed, Itzel kisses her on her forehead one last time and heads out of the room to go out. "Anita, Marc, I think I shou
'You surely don't know how dangerous Alexeyv Dmitri is then!' Itzel recalls what Dmitri had told her just a few minutes ago when he let go of her hand. She is still quite surprised that he actually let her go out! And how does he even know the name of the boss of the mafia for whom she and Itzel work? Even she did not know his full until Dmitri told her! And just how much more Dmitri knows about that man? On other thought, Itzel thinks that Alexeyv Dmitri is somehow related to Dmitri, not only because their surnames are the same of course. They somewhat look alike as well. Though Itzel has seen him just once that was when she went to plead with him to let her join back the street fighting because she could not keep up the job of a temptress stealer. She has seen him in person and still remembers a few of his facial features clearly, like he too has azure eyes and jet black hair. "Madam, we are here." Itzel snaps back from her little bubble and blinks at the driver. With a quick nod,
"What about her?" Itzel asks immediately in a low tone. When she mentioned her mother's name, her concern skyrockets and she can't help but feel restless now. "Is everything all right?" She asks her. "Don't worry, the doctor said that she is much better now but the thing is about something else still concerning her." "What is it?" Itzel asks, curious to know what Anita wants to tell her about her mother. "I am afraid, you have to come over here so we can talk about it." Anita replies."Uh, okay. I will be there but it might take some time for me to reach there as I am not in the Singh mansion right now." Itzel tells her while sending an accusing glare Dmitri's way. "Oh, okay. No problem at all! Come at your convenient time, I am home today for the whole day." Anita tells her to which she replies as a quick thank you and see you there before hanging up. Itzel then goes to call back Damon finally but suddenly her phone gets snatched away from her hands by Dmitri. "Hey! I was going
"Itzel! Do you want to know what is there for lunch?" She hears Dmitri's voice coming from outside the room in which she is in right now. "Anyway, let me just tell you then. Hmm, so we have here grilled chicken and spring rolls! And for dessert we have..guess what?" He is trying his absolute best to make Itzel come out of that room but she is not having any of it now. Even if she is hungry right now, she would not go out of this room to eat with him. Because, well, she is angry at him. Wait, no, not just angry but she is mad at him for pulling up such a stunt with her earlier. How dare he send his assistant to kidnap her and literally lock her up in this haunted, abandoned building! Itzel has made up her mind that she would never talk to him ever again, even though it sounds too unrealistic to her own ears. But at least she could try and put up a nice, long tantrum drama with Dmitri, right? Standing outside the room, Dmitri lets out a defeated and tired sigh as he eyes the closed doo
'KNOCK..KNOCK!!!' Itzel almost jumps out of her bed as the loud noise of banging at her room's door pierces her ears. "Coming!" She yells at the person who is being desperate for her to open the door. As she gets up from the mattress, her phone starts ringing too.'Tring! Tring!' It causes her to jump again as she gets hit on her left thigh against the bedpost. "Ooww!" Massaging her thigh with her left hand, she ignores the constant ringing of her phone and goes to open the door. When she does, she finds a man in his early or mid forties standing there looking at her with a frantic look on his face. "Yes? Do I know you?" Itzel asks the man frowning. The man just shakes his head at her."No, miss. You certainly do not know me but I was sent here to get you to the hospital with me. Your mother, Anupriya, is awake up and wishes to see you. Could you please come there with me?" He asks very politely and Itzel finds herself nodding her head, agreeing to go with him to the hospital when
