Chap-61*The Broken Stare*

I told Daxon I wanted to see my sister regardless because I didn’t want the council and others to look at me as this mean sister who didn’t even care about her sister. Daxon bought the lie, or at least he pretended to have. He parked the car in the parking lot and got out with me. I found Reynard walking in the garden and waiting for me. The smile from his lips when looking at me faded away when he watched me with Daxon.

I wanted to tell him it wasn’t like that, but Daxon wasn’t leaving me alone for a minute.

"Alpha Daxon!" Reynard approached us with a scorn, "Luna Serena!" When he greeted me, he clenched his jaw because Daxon had just forcefully held my hand.

I watched Reynard stare at our hands, and even when I struggled to free myself, Daxon wasn’t taking the hint.

"She wanted to see her sister," Daxon said. "Which room is she in?" Daxon was the one taking the lead, and I was letting him.

I felt terrible, but there was nothing I could do for the time being.

"She is in the guestroom
