Chapter One Hundred: It Wasn't A Dream

Samantha's POV

I woke up to find myself in my room. As I sat up, the events of last night rushed back to me.

“Nita!” I called out, my voice shaky. She hurried into my room.

“Jesus, you're okay,” she said, her voice full of worry as she held my hand. “What happened to you last night? Diego brought you home, and he was bleeding.”

So it wasn’t a dream.

“Where is he, Nita?” I asked anxiously. She sighed. “He left after bringing you to your room,” she told me. “Wait here, I’ll get your breakfast. You still need to go to school,” she added before leaving.

He was bleeding last night. Is he okay? Did he go to the hospital? How did he know where I was?

I hurried to the shower, washing off the lingering fear from last night. After getting ready, I put on the red dress we had bought at the mall the other week.

I grabbed my sling bag and left the room.
