12. Jake's Uncle

"Thank you for today, Uncle." Croline said it sincerely. She didn't know what else to say other than thank you. Jared had really done a lot of good things for her. She didn't know what she had done to meet such a good man.

Jared just gave a small nod, allowing Caroline to get out of the car.

"You want to come over? I'll cook dinner; stay here. We can have dinner together." Caroline offered.

Jared seemed to think for a moment. He had a lot of work pending because he had to attend Caroline's father's funeral. So, he had to finish it tonight.

"If you don't mind." Caroline emphasized. Because she didn't want to trouble Jared, let alone make it difficult for him. She just wanted to say thank you for serving a good meal tonight.

"You guys can come too." Caroline turned to look at Donny and Thalius.

The two men were staring at Jared, waiting for his boss to answer. Because they couldn't make a decision without Jared's approval.

"Alright, we'll stop by." Jared finally said yes.
