Shooting Practice

    “What? Eliminate? What does it mean to kill?” asked Eren in surprise.

    "Yes, if it's needed..." Professor Alex replied with a serious face.

    All members of the Jaguar team immediately fell silent. They didn't think the mission they were about to take on was so heavy, that Jacob broke the silence in the meeting room.

    "So when do we start training with weapons?" Jacob asked Professor Alex.

    "Today we will start. Now you do a warm-up exercise for one hour. After that we will gather again" said Professor Alex. After the meeting was over, the Jaguar team members dispersed. Jacob and Ben immediately went to the hall for physical exercise while Eren, Zoya and Miyuki walked slowly while chatting.

    "I didn't think we had to kill someone," said Eren.

    "Yes me too. From the beginning I entered this organization, I was never told if the mission that would be carried out was to kill people. I thought I would only be tasked with eliminating the 'S' virus,” Miyuki replied.

    “Hmm we don't have to kill. The situation is only when it is absolutely necessary. But what Professor Alex thought was true. I agree with him. We have to do whatever it takes to save this world from mass extinction,” replied Zoya who was walking to Eren's right.

    "What do you mean Zoya? I don't understand" Eren asked a little confused.

    "I mean, if I have to kill one or more people to save billions of other humans, I won't hesitate to do it," Zoya said confidently. Eren and Miyuki were silent for a moment.

    "Yeah. It's true what you said. Yes, let's just practice first, "said Eren.

    Soon the three of them arrived at the hall. Ben and Jacob had already started their physical training. Eren, Zoya and Miyuki soon caught up. After about an hour of their practice, suddenly Professor Alex and a man in black uniforms came over to the Jaguar team.

    "Good morning Jaguar team. Have you finished your training yet?” asked Professor Alex who saw the Jaguar team taking a drink break.

    "Morning Prof,”  the Jaguar team greeted in unison.

    "I want to introduce someone to you. He is the head of security at the Hope organization. Please sir..." said Professor Alex.

    "Good morning Jaguar team. Introduce my name is Arnold. Just call me Captain Arnold. I'm the head of security at the Hope organization. My job is to keep all of Hope's facilities safe from the attacks of these creatures," said Arnold in a loud and firm tone.

    "Okay, that's enough introduction. Now Captain Arnold and I will take you to places you've never been. Come follow us now," said Professor Alex to all members of the Jaguar team.

    "Where are we going to take it?" asked Eren in a whisper to Miyuki.

    "I don't know either" Miyuki replied curtly.

    "Why am I so tense like this," said Zoya.

    “You said you were tense, but your face didn't show that. You look so excited" said Eren while looking at Zoya's behavior. Zoya just smiled at Eren's words.

    Jaguar team members walked to the elevator that was there. They were led by Professor Alex and Captain Arnold to the basement floor.

    "I've never been to a basement before," Zoya said in the elevator.

    "Never mind yourself. I'm the first to be a member of the Jaguar team, never before. In the past, the basement area was forbidden to be entered by the general public," said Ben.

    "Yeah, you're right Ben. Only certain people can enter the facilities here. Now you can see what's in this basement," said Professor Alex.

    "Tring..." the elevator door opened. The seven of them had arrived at the basement floor.

    "Welcome to the military room of the Hope organization," said Captain Arnold to the Jaguar team. All members of the Jaguar team were so stunned to see what was on the basement floor. They saw so many people wearing black uniforms passing by with their respective activities. Jaguar team members also saw various vehicles such as a hummer car which was equipped with automatic machine guns, and even some tanks were parked neatly in the corner of the basement.

    “Wow this is so cool! It's like in a movie!” Zoya said amazed. He looked the happiest of all. Professor Alex and Arnold just smiled at Zoya's words. Captain Arnold continued to carry the Jaguar team further into the basement floor, until they stopped in front of an iron gate.

    "Good morning Lieutenant" Captain Arnold greeted his subordinates who were on guard.

    "Good morning Captain," said the subordinate in a firm tone as he raised his right hand and placed it near his right eyebrow as a sign of military respect.

    "Please open this gate..." asked Captain Arnold as the head of security there. Arnold's subordinate immediately pressed a red button on his desk and immediately the iron gate opened automatically.

    "Come on in please. Welcome to the arsenal of the Hope organization," said Captain Arnold to the Jaguar team. For the umpteenth time, the Jaguar team was again stunned at the space shown by Captain Arnold. So many weapons neatly displayed in the room. Ranging from sharp weapons to heavyweight firearms are there.

    "Wow, are we going to take this to the past?" asked Ben, staring in amazement at the weapons.

    “Yes you will bring some. But you have to practice first now how to use it. Remember we don't have much time. You have to practice really hard. I leave all of you to Captain Arnold.

    “Captain, you know what you have to do right? I leave them to you," said Professor Alex.

    "Yes Prof. Professor need not worry. They will be ready at the right time” said Captain Arnold reassuring Professor Alex.

    “Team Jaguar, remember how important your current mission is. You have to fight really hard,” said Professor Alex reminded.

    "Yes, we understand Prof. We will practice hard. You don't need to worry," replied Ben representing his juniors on the Jaguar team.

    "Okay then. You can start practicing. I want to go back upstairs first. See you later," said Professor Alex. After a short talk, Professor Alex left the Jaguar team along with Captain Arnold.

    "Okay now we can start. Since you guys have never practiced shooting, I'll give you a short-barreled firearm first. Captain Arnold gave a single action revolver to every member of the Jaguar team, including Eren.

    “Are you guys ready to start training today?!” asked Captain Arnold loudly and firmly. He treats the Jaguar team like his own men.

    "Ready!" replied the Jaguar team in unison.
