132. My battle-1

[Zephyr’s POV]

I reached out to the lightning shooting towards me and somehow I could grab it, veer it and absorb it in my palms.

It didn’t hurt. It didn’t electrocute me. It seemed as if I had engulfed the power from the jade ring like a black hole engulfs light.

Vidar widened his eyes as my hands snapped into claws.

I aimed to slash directly at his neck and decapitate him when he quickly grabbed the container with blazing coal and threw it all at me.

“NO!” I heard mother scream and the very next second she was between me and the blazing coal, shielding me from it.

“Mother!”

I changed my projectile at the last moment, pushing her aside.

I landed on the dais as the ablaze coal showered on me. I very well remember how acid feels on one’s skin. And how skin chars in flames. This was a little less painful, but the feeling of having my skin melting was the same.

But I had no time to care about the pain or the fire my clothes had caught because of the coal.

I glared right into Vidar’s eye
