--Third Person’s POV--"Damn," Knight cursed to himself as he checked the time on his laptop. It's been almost half an hour since Athena said she was close to arriving. He tried calling her but she wouldn’t answer. He can no longer focus on the work he is doing. He calmed himself, thinking she might be just enjoying her time alone."Right, calm the fvck down." He talked to himself as he tried to go back to whatever it was that he was doing. So that's what he did. He gave her a little more time and thought that she might come home soon. But after a while, he couldn't really focus on what he was doing. He was just stunned as he thought of the joy he felt. Just by imagining Athena coming home to him and cooking him meals is enough for him. Not to mention the events that have happened in the past few days. The needle doesn’t seem to sense whatever fun is going on with them. It feels like nothing could go wrong. So now, that Athena was not yet home, he had a bad feeling, just the instinct
--Third Person’s POV--It was all a blur for Athena. Knight was carrying her in a bridal style while he ran. She could see how the moon peered at the towering trees in the forest as the fast wolves ran as if chasing them. Her eyes were widening as she watched Knight’s face. The way he looked ahead, so focused on running away, and his eyes gleaming with anger and ruthlessness. She turned her head to their backs and she saw how the group of wolves were running to chase them. She couldn't believe it. It was all like a dream to her.In a large tree, someone intercepted them. A dark gray wolf that transformed into a human in her eyes. Her eyes widened. She couldn’t ’understand a thing. She couldn't believe she would be even more shocked by the events. On the other hand, Knight was so upset to see Meshka blocking their way. He could see the wound on his arm that he had made earlier. He thinks he deserves it. No one has the right to touch and intimidate the woman he loves."Let us go, Meshka
--Athena’s POV--I woke up from a long dream. The first thing I saw was the dark room where the only light that could be seen was the lamp on the table. When I looked around, I noticed Knight sitting in the single chair in this room. His legs were crossed and both of his arms were on the arm rest of the chair. His white dress shirt was tucked into his black slacks while the first three buttons were open. He looks like he just got home from work.Wait, we’re at his villa, right? Why is he in these clothes?I called him "Knight."I couldn't read the expression on his face. He appeared to have been watching me sleep since earlier.I sat and leaned into the headboard of the bed. I’m in my lingerie. I’m confused."You left a while ago?" I asked him.He stood up and walked in the direction of the bed. I stared at him and tried to read his mind. He sat on the bed and touched my face like I was a cat or something."Are you okay?" he asked me.I was dazzled by his question. Am I okay? I laughed
Knight had been busy for the next few days. He was always away from the villa and always left every afternoon and came back in the evening.Sometimes I fall asleep waiting for him. I understand that’s work. But as time went on, I started to have doubts because once, he came home early. He was drunk and out of focus.I no longer know what to think. I trust him, but my instinct screams differently. Girls know this. All of a sudden, I was really overwhelmed by the thought that he had something he was not telling me. Especially when I ask him questions and we always focus on his tenderness until I forget what I'm asking or what I'm trying to convey."You’re leaving again?" I asked him.He had just taken a bath and seemed to be in a hurry to leave again. He eyed me. I watched him quietly as I lay on our bed. I still had a lot to say, but I chose to keep quiet. I don't want him to think badly of me. I also don't want him to think that I think of him."I'll be back." He answered sparingly."
Leaving me here with the woman he kissed in his penthouse is complete bullsh!t. I don’t know how many times I’ve cursed Knight in my mind. Now, I am sure that he really was hiding something from me.From the kitchen, I stared at Ulva, who was walking around the living room as if nothing had happened. My blood was still boiling because of the shared event a while ago, but she seemed to have calmed down as if she had returned to his arrogant and insulting mood.I stare at her strange, looking-like cloak. No matter how many times I’ve seen her, I always see her with the same type of clothes. She looks like she came from a costume play or a Halloween party. I also can't help but wonder if that's why I seem to have a distant memory of her clothes.Carrying my brewed coffee, I went to the living room straight to our lanai. I hadn’t gotten out completely when I heard her irritating voice again."Where are you going?"I rolled my eyes before looking at her."Will be enjoying my coffee?" My sa
--Knight’s POV--"Alpha, they're ready for the ritual." I heard Lucas’ voice.I didn't even look at him. My hands are clasped as they are in front of my lips. My mind is divided into various aspects that cause me to be in this disposition. The castle was busy with the ritual that would take place, while my mind was busy thinking of Athena and the others. I looked at the moon from my chamber. It is still covered by clouds.I sat up straight and saw that Lucas’ gaze immediately closed on me. He looked at me deeply and intensely. I feel like he knows what I’m thinking. Grendel suddenly came inside, causing us to interrupt our stare. He called me "Knight."I stared at him. "Meshka’s pack had declared their absence today. Anakin and Bron’s pack are here. "I nodded once. "Of course, Meshka had completely thrown a rebellion against me."Grendel sighed. I looked at him. I smirked and looked at the moon."It’s the night of the ritual. Would you be glad if I let you see Ulva tonight?" I asked
--Athena’s POV--The next moments between Ulva and I were undeniably awkward. There is a part of me that thinks that she has this weird persona.Yes, she looks demure and modest in a way, given her good physique and nice face. But some of her actions were beyond my expectations of her. It was almost as if she had ticks or something. It’s also embarrassing to stare at her every time she acts like that, so I just stare at her with my peripheral vision. We are here in the living area. We are on both couches. The television is on because I continued watching the movie series that I binge, but my focus is taken away because of her occasional hissing and scratching of the neck."That’s a load of crap," she even commented in one scene where the two protagonists are running in the rain so in love with each other.I ignored her. I also don't want to talk to her. I really find her odd that I’m more interested in watching her rather than talking to her."That’s romance for you humans? I prefer b
I can see how Ulva suffered because of being choked by what he called his brother. It's like I suddenly woke up now that I can see violence in front of me.I panicked and wanted to pull the man away, but before I could do that, Ulva made a quick scratch on the man's face, which caused him to let go and focus on the pain he was feeling. He was able to recover quickly. He looked sharply at Ulva, as if he had even more reason to be angry with her now. Ulva passed by my vision; she was like a wind that I felt but could not see.I was shocked as I leaned against the wall and watched their chaos. I saw how Ulva ended up behind the man, and the man didn't feel it. It was too late that he realized Ulva was behind him.Ulva tried to jail Meshka in her arms to choke him and slash him with her long nails, but she failed because Meshka grabbed her hands and pulled her up before slamming her on the floor.I gasped loudly. I held my mouth because of the pain I felt for Ulva. But I was very surprise
