Sharing a room

KINGSTON

The door opened and Nina quickly stood well and arranged her blouse.It turned out to be my Mum.

Mum looked at Nina for a while before she turned her gaze to me.This time she was glaring at me.

"Kingston I took an early flight just so I can congratulate you on your marriage"Mum said

"Good day Ma"Nina said and mum scoffed.

"I got an information that my son showed up at his office the next day after his wedding.You are supposed to be with your wife Kingston,your wife not some secretary.So Miss employee as you can see am having a conversation with my son , did your brains not tell you to get out.That's if you have any "Mum said

"Sorry ma'am "Nina said and quickly left.I know am in deep shit.It's obvious Mum saw what happened .Mum never liked Nina.She said Nina is just a wanna be Kim Kardashian and that she's an opportunist.

"I see you were having an interesting office time with Miss opportunist or should I say wanna be Kim Kardashian.I don't know what's keeping you from sacking her"Mum said

"Mum is not what you think"I said trying to reason things with her

"My poor Vida ,she had to marry you.I'm pretty sure she was forced to marry you.Well I can't wait to see her.Let's go I can't waste more time in your office. Don't want to be charmed by your lovely secretary"Mum said and walked out.

I quickly got up from where I sat  and went after her before she cause trouble for me.

VIDA

It was boring alone at home and Cassandra was working ,I don't want to disturb her ,so I could not ask her to come along with me to chop for more groceries.We have groceries at home but I'm bored.I have being at home all day.

I stared at the television , watching a movie I don't understand.The door opened and Kingston walked in and I could not help the excitement I felt.His actions that followed shocked me.He walked towards me and hugged me.

"Hey love , I'm sorry I left for work early it was an emergency"Kingston said sweetly.I'm I dreaming or what?

"Uh uh!!"I did not know what to say because his attitude was strange.He leaned and gave me a brief kiss on the lips and I still can't comprehend what's happening.

"Vida!!! My baby "I heard and that was when I saw Kingston's mother.I and Kingston disengaged.

"Ma'am Verna "I smiled and hugged her .So all this was all an act for his Mum.

"Kingston get the maids to prepare my room for me and also my food.I'm famished"Ma'am Verna said

"Ma'am Verna I cooked and we don't have maids here"I said

"I said ,that son of mine forced you to marry him didn't he.So he sent the maids to make you suffer right ,I will teach him a lesson"Mum said glaring at Kingston.

"No Mum.I and Vida love each other very much and we needed some alone time as a married couple"Kingston said pulling me close to himself .What a pretender.

"I'm not buying that.Vida darling please come and serve me what you cooked"Mum said pulling me with her to the dinner table.

Vida cooked????

And my mum had come and and spoil things for me.And mum can't find out that I and Vida sleep in different rooms,mum had to ruin everything I planned.

I sat with my Mum as Vida served us our food.I must admit it looked great.

"Hmmmmmm.This is amazing.Now I see the reason why Kingston rushed your wedding.You are just anything a man needs as a wife.You are educated, humble,kind , beautiful and a great cook too"Mum said

"Thanks ma'am Verna"Vida responded shyly

"Call me Mum"I'm your mother-in-law.We are a family now but am still not convinced that Kingston did not force you to marry him"mum said.I ate from the food and damn it was great but I didn't show it ,I just continued eating.

But wait ,the information I got was that she was pampered and all ,I even saw proof then how come she's a great cook.Or maybe after highschool she learnt how to cook .Who knows if she made Cassandra help her with the food.I will not be surprised since Cassandra is her little puppet.I'm sure ,she called Cassandra to come and help her cook the food.

We were done eating and Vida stood up to clear the table.

"My love I will do it "I said holding her hands and my mum looked at me.

"Kingston I know you,you forced this innocent girl to marry you "Mum said

"Mum ,I love Vida very much and I don't want her stressing herself.We are supposed to be enjoying our honeymoon but you are ruining it.Mum please go"I begged.

"Kingston if you were really enjoying your honeymoon you would have stayed with your wife not spending your day with some secretary.Anyways it's late,am going to bed"Mum said and stood up.I spent the whole day at the office ,I got trapped by Nina earlier ,good thing mum came in.If not I might have ended up sleeping in the office with Nina.

After Mum left ,Vida looked at me and said"You should have just married your secretary instead " and was about leaving too

"Vida wait ,we are going to share a room now.Mum can't find out that I forced you to marry me"I said

"You forced me to marry you Kingston.The only thing you do best is hurting people"She said and walked out.

I did the dishes quickly and went to Vida's room and saw that she was on her bed sleeping or should I say pretending.Like what I told her did not get through her.

I went to where she was and held her wrist tightly dragging her from the bed.

"Kingston you are hurting me"She whined .I dragged her my room and locked the door.

"Can't you obey simple instructions Vida.You will sleep in this room as long as my mum is living with us"I said

"You always force people to do what you want.Well what do I expect from someone who ordered Caleb to rape his best friend"Vida lashed out and I could see she was tearing up.

"Don't try to act like the victim Vida.You manipulated me ,you hurt me" I said angrily

"Just shut up.You ruined my entire life.I regret the fact that we were best friends"She said as the tears fell from her eyes ,she quickly ran to the washroom.

Don't be fooled Kingston don't be fooled by her again.She wanted the sex with Caleb ,I only gave her the attention she was seeking for.Now she's making it sound like I made Caleb rape her.Ridiculous .She should just quit her drama . It's obvious she has not change,she is still the deceitful Vida who is after pity.

VIDA

I got to the washroom and cried my eyes out after I remembered what happened .How Kingston hurt me ,how Caleb tried to force his self on me.Everything that happened killed my high self esteem.

I wiped my tears ,I undressed myself and bent beside the jacuzzi in the washroom.Kingston's room is wonderful.I love everything about the house.I mixed a soapy bath and added the shower bath I saw to my bath .I got into it and stayed inside for a while.

I got out from the bath minutes later and wore the bathroom robe I found in his washroom.I opened the washroom door and  I saw Kingston half naked.His chest was bare showing his abs.A white towel was wrapped around his waist.I got out of the washroom and entered the room fully and he entered the washroom not sparing me a glance.

I went for his room door and it was locked.He did not expect me to sleep with a bathroom robe .And it was my chance to leave the room but he locked it.

"Kingston"I called from outside the washroom.

"Kingston"I called again but got no answer ,so I had no choice but to wait for him to come out first.

Kingston came out of of the washroom after what looked like an hour with water dripping from his hair down to his chest .Then his abs ,he is so hot .I averted my eyes from his body.

"Kingston please open the door ,I need to..I need to get dress.Yh my nightie is in the other room"I said looking at everywhere in the room but not him.

I felt something fall on my face.It was his t-shirt

"Get dress in that "He said and I looked at him ,so arrogant.I took the t-shirt he threw at me with me to the washroom and went to wear it.
