"Do you still desire to abandon this pack, your mate and responsibilities for this abomination; this human?!" A deep voice, angry and faceless aged man asked the young man who stood before me.
The only thing I see was his back. Huge, strong, sturdy with dark wavy hair that laid short on his neck.
This person, this man who was always in my dreams... who is he?
"Yes. I love Eliza and I'm willing to give up everything for her including the alpha title." He said as my eyes widened.
He was an alpha? A werewolf?
I gasped softly when I felt him hold my hand before my eyes went to the finely crafted ring made of twigs on both our hands.
We were married.
"Cursed be your love! For as long as you love that woman, you will be met with an endless tragedy." The elder said as the werewolf beside me squeezed my hand.
"If loving her means I have to die... I will never stop loving Eliza." His words echoed deep inside my weak heart.
"Charlie!" Lea's voice dragged me out of my dream.
I sat up as I panted, sweat surprisingly escaping my skin as Lea rushed to my side with a bag of blood.
I grabbed the bag, sinking my teeth into it to satisfy the unbearable thirst my body was suffering from.
"I need more." I demanded as I threw the bag while Lea gave me another.
I drank up to five bags before I felt full and ended my last drop with a burp.
"You've been unusually thirsty these days, are you okay?" Lea asked with a deep concern in her voice.
I stared into Lea's brown eyes that popped out more with her melanin skin, her curly hair disheveled and held back by a yellow hairband loosely.
I couldn't lie to those eyes that always held good intentions towards me.
"I've been having these dreams." I started as I placed my hand on my chest.
"Dreams? What are they usually about?" Lea asked as she sat on the bed, close to myself.
"Death. Betrayal. Cruelty. Cold. Hate. War. It's always a dark place that I always endlessly drown in and can't seem to escape no matter how fast or how hard I run. It's always painful and it makes my heart ache." I confessed as I touched my chest hard.
"Do you always suffer in those dreams?" Lea asked and I shook my head.
"Sometimes things are so bad I can't even imagine but when that hand touches me. When that hand touches my skin and clings for comfort..." My hand went to my face. "It's like time stops and the pain doesn't matter. I feel so at peace and at home in those arms."
I hugged myself as I pictured that man who always stayed with me, wrapping his hands around me as his scent closed my nostril.
"Charlie you're spacing out again." Lea said as I jerked.
"I'm really sorry. I don't understand why I keep on having these dreams about someone I've never met." I freaked out as Lea held my hand.
"It's okay Charlie. Just breathe." Lea said as I nodded, copying her motion as I breathed.
I felt better doing this before I breathed out and stared into her eyes.
"How long have you been having these dreams?" Lea asked as I closed my eyes.
"Twenty seven years by next week." I said as Lea gasped.
"Twenty seven years!" Lea's British accent deepened when shee exclaimed as I touched my forehead.
"Why didn't tell me?! I could have done something about it." Lea questioned as I shook my head.
"It wasn't much of a problem. The dreams always repeated and I couldn't hear anything till just last month. It's recently they started changing and to be honest, I don't want the dreams to stop." I confessed with honest as Lea folded her arms.
"Why?" She asked as my eyes weakened.
My hand touched my chest as my lips curled to a soft smile.
"Those dreams make me remember how I felt when I was... human." I said as I clenched my fist around my chest.
Those dreams were the only thing that gave my cold body warmth. They heated my body and my mind even though I knew it wasn't real.
I accepted it wasn't real.
"Charlie be honest with me..." Lea said as she placed her hand above mine. "If you could ever be human again, would you take the chance?"
Why was Lea asking me this question?
A longtime ago I wished to be human, I craved it with desperation but I couldn't.
The humans feared even the kindest of our kind because they couldn't understand us and we hunted humans down because of our instincts as hunters and our thirst for the crimson fluid that flowed in living things.
The higher the creature whose blood is fed on, the stronger the vampire; that was why they hunted humans than live their lives feeding on animal blood.
Years and years of being hunted down, lied and cheated by humans, betrayed and used had me repulsed by the thought of being human.
"That desire died along with the hunters I turned to ash." I said as I stood up from my bed.
I grabbed the glass bottle in my room, pouring the whiskey that had a little bit of negative B inside as I sipped on it slowly.
"That was a long time ago Charlie. It is time to forgive and forget."
"Humans killed my husband! They killed Jordan! Hope's father for what?! Because he was a human who fell in love with a vampire?!" I asked as I gulped down the alcohol.
"Charlie..."
"Lea can we not discuss this. I'm far too tired for this and I also need to get ready for work." I said as Lea sighed.
She stood up as my eyes followed her movements to the door before she stopped.
"Jordan's been dead for centuries Charlie. Stop living in the past when you have a future here." Lea said before she left, closing the door quietly behind her.
I threw the glass cup on the wall in anger as I ran my hand through my hair with a frustrated grunt.
Lea Bennett, my closest friend was a witch.
Her people were hunted down, tried unfairly for having influence in the human world and persecuted.
They were burned, hung, decapitated and served as feed for livestocks and their children left in hiding only for the cycle to repeat over and over again.
The cruelty of knowing her twin sister was murdered because she had generously healed a human should have been enough to teach Lea humans don't need pity.
They looked weak but once a little power entered their hands, they were bitter and selfish creatures.
We creatures of darkness had our own wickedness but it has its end and it has a beginning.
Lea was cursed with immortality as a result of wanting to learn black magic to protect her kind but her clan knew the dangers and rejected her.
The times that have passed was enough for Lea to perfect in the black arts as my mother Larissa Willows did.
Thinking about my mother, I haven't seen her since my siblings hunted her down for turning us into vampires while I remained in the shadows, creating a path for myself.
My eyes went to the painting on the nightstand beside my bed.
I sat down, picking it up as the memories with Jordan played in my head.
In all my memories, Jordan always smiled.
There was barely a day he wasn't making awkward jokes or imagining a world where every creature ever created could live together.
But all good things must come to an end.
Watching the humans kill my husband when the sun hadn't turned him to ash was painful for me in my vulnerable state.
He wasn't a vampire. He didn't want to be and that was why he lived everyday like was going to leave me... and he did.
It was those days with him that Hope was born. My daughter and my blood.
Hope was a hybrid. Having both the powers of a vampire and that of a witch from her grandmother; she lived by my side till the war that had us all scattered.
It's been quite a long time since I last saw my family and the one who has always been here with me from the start was Lea.
I have to make sure to apologize for being a little too hard on her especially since she was right.
Jordan was dead. I have a lot of suitors so it was time to move.
It was time to move on and explore the world that has changed with time. An era where human hunted desperately for the supernatural is over.
This was an era called... change.
The weather was hot in the streets of LA as the youths walked around in summer clothes, laughing and talking while I walked down the streets. It seemed my charisma was enough to draw attention as all the humans stared at me in admiration and praise as I strutted the streets. It wasn't my fault I called attention like a succubus it was what we vampires saw as our charm. This charm was very helpful for hypnosis as humans get lost, staring into our eyes and subconsciously creating patterns in their head that gets us into their mind.I should have taken the car to come to the company I had built with my blood and sweat. No one knew I was the owner. The human who fronted as the CEO was aware of what I was, taking orders from me and passing on when his feeble and old.It would be difficult controlling the company if the CEO refused to... age.I stopped at the receptionist, putting my details down as I stared into her eyes."I'm here
The sound of panting escaped my lips as I picked up a stool, climbed on and picked up a book. I jumped down, forgetting to return the stool when I ran past my mother.“And where do you think you are going young lady?” Mother asked as my steps slowly regressed.I hid the book behind me and gave mother the most innocent of smiles my little sixteen years old could muster.“To the woods.” I responded as mother arched a brow, while her twin, my aunt Lucinda stepped in with some books.“Why?” Mother asked as I shuffled my feet.“I’m going to visit my friend Rudy. He is expecting me mother.” I replied.Mother was about to go against it when Aunt Lucinda tapped her shoulders.“Let Eliza have fun. She’s sixteen and a young woman exploring the big world and unknown to her. It’s not like she’s going into town a
I covered my left eye with my left hand as my breath slowly got under control.Adam? Who was Adam? Why did he look so much like that man I saw earlier?Speaking of earlier… how did I get home?“You’re awake. Thank goodness.” Lea said as she dropped some warm towels on the table and touched my forehead.“What are you doing?” I asked in confusion as she took down her hand.“I am checking if your temperature has lowered. You’ve had a fever for the past three days.” Lea explained as I stared at her in disbelief.“That’s, that’s not possible. I’m supposed to be dead! I’m a vampire and we can’t get colds!”“I know that but something strange happened to you. Your body felt like a bottomless pit, absorbing as much blood as possible while you were sick. If yo
I took bold confident steps into the living room as Lea chased my tail with anticipated steps.I grabbed a bottle of blood wine and poured into a cup before I chugged it down and poured once more for myself as Lea grabbed the bottle."You are not avoiding the subject." Lea said as I sighed and dropped the glass cup heavily."I am not avoiding the subject. I just want to drink it away so when I'm sober, seeing Klaus will be nothing but a dream." I replied as Lea sighed."So about Klaus' proposal; are you considering marrying him even if it was true?" Lea asked as I ran my hand through my hair."Twenty seven years ago Klaus left me standing at the altar because he was supposedly in hell and he waltz back into my life and you expect me to say yes!" I laughed as Lea folded her arms."What if Klaus is telling the truth and you will die even though you're an origina
I smiled at the lovely night as I felt the cool breeze touch my skin in this crowded city.Everyone was bustling and hustling, car horns honking and people talking about what they would do when they get home or their night shift activities.I felt whole and complete, filled with a joy I couldn't explain as I thought of that werewolf and his name."Elijah." The name felt so sweet leaving my lips as I hummed.Something about him was different from all the other men I have ever knew. His name felt dainty, sweet in my head like the time I had gone for Antonio Vivaldi four seasons concert in the eighteenth century. Then music had value and taste was exquisite not now everything was a clashing symbol but then again, blood was spilled without shame."Eliza."I paused in my steps when I heard that name from a ghastly voice.I turned around to search out where that voice was coming from but found no source as my heart beat sped up a li
“Are we there yet?” I asked Elijah as he chuckled.“Not yet. We will be very soon.” He said as he held the blindfold tightly to my eyes so I wouldn’t even have a sneak peek to where we were going.I trusted him to be somewhere beautiful as the air I breathed was much clearer and fresher than the stuffy five star restaurant that Klaus took me to have dinner. He succeeded in spoiling my mood and marking that restaurant bad for dinner plans in the aftermath.“Be careful.” Elijah said as he helped me climb a few steps down.“This better be good Elijah or I’m taking your tail as a forgiveness offering.” I said as he laughed.“Of course but I’m a million percent sure you’ll love it.” He said as I smiled before it fell.“Okay, I trust you.” I replied before we got to a spot.I felt the blindfold fall off my
The ride home was quiet but it was a comfortable silence as Elijah pulled back his bike in front of my house. I came down from the bike and handed him the helmet he insisted I wear since it was daytime.“I guess this is goodbye for now.” Elijah said as I nodded.“You can come over when you want a real treat.” I said as I flashed my fangs before he chuckled.“I never knew I could ever be so full in my life.” Elijah said as he patted his stomach as I laughed.“Call me when you get home.” I insisted as I collected my jacket and purse.I pulled my hair behind my ears before I pecked Elijah’s cheek and quickly walked to my house.I turned back to a dumbfounded Elijah who was smiling like he was assuring himself everything that happened was real before he pulled down his helmet shield and drove off.The mo
Lea leaned on the gate as she stared at me in disbelief. I was just happy she wasn’t casting any spell on me to make me obedient but her glare was so much like a father who couldn’t wait to kill any of his daughter’s boyfriend.“Stop staring like that, you are going to scare the pup with those.” I said as I elbowed her elbow.“Maybe I want that.” Lea said as I smiled before I wrapped my hand around her neck.I kissed her cheeks and snuggled her neck as she made a terrible attempt at being angry. She laughed as I laughed before she pushed my head away.“Am I interrupting something ladies?” Elijah asked with a smile on his face.“Nothing at all.” I replied as Lea stared at him in disbelief.“You didn’t say he was handsome apart from being a werewolf.” Lea noted as I covered her mouth.“He can hear you.
Dear readers, I apologise for not giving a heads up on the hiatus but I will pause this project and start again around november or december. I am a college student and it can be very difficult balancing your education, social and private life. I hope you all can bear with me but in the mean time to keep you away from boredom, I have a few books written. Please support me and check them out if you ever want to have another taste of my writing. Thank you so much for the three thousand views, I never expected my first straight werewolf book to achieve that much under a short period of time but I'm thankful for everything. Love, Psycho-chan.
CharlieI was panting hard as I held my bleeding hand that had lost two fingers from the game we were playing.“Play your next move.” Rogue said as I glared at her before I stared at the board. This was the seventeenth time we were playing this game and I was yet to win a single game. I had traded so many parts, each regenerating as the games went on. I couldn’t understand how she was doing it, how she was cheating or bending the rules to her favor unless there was some unknown external influence. How could I get them in my favor? It suddenly occurred to me that Eliza was not here. I looked around for her but she was nowhere to be seen before I saw a mirror behind Rogue.Rogue’s eyes were still on the chess pieces as I stared deep into the mirror and realized something about me and Rogue.“No.” I replied as I stood up. “This game was always a trap; an illusion to eras

NarratorThe tension could be sensed from all-round as day slowly broke. The werewolves of the North stood in their huge land, broad and wide as they protected the area while waiting for the enemies who would come for the moon during full moon.Aggression and passive anger polluted the air as Freya sat in her throne with a glass of wine waiting for her enemy. It was only fair to her to relax and monitor the battle through the eyes of her slaves so as to strategize her next movement.“Good things come to good people.” Freya whispered before she took another sip and Vigil, her loyal beta entered with a poker on his face.“We have site of the enemies.” Vigil informed me. “Our trackers pick a scent coming from the West, one from Central and one coming from South.”“Did you say Central?” Freya asked and Vigil nodded. “What did our informants say?”“Unfortunat
Dead ravens everywhere. I was silent as my eyes went up to the blood moon that changed to the form of a solar eclipse before it disappeared after sometime. I was in the centre of thousands of dead ravens before I heard a hollow voice.“Wake up Samuel.”I gasped as my eyes opened before my breathing slowly calmed down and I heard a breath of relief from a familiar voice.I sat up and stared into Rogue’s eyes that had a straight face even as the blood tickled her skin before she hugged me and buried her hands in my hair.“Thank you for not dying.” Rogue whispered as she held me close before she pulled back and I felt a soft tug on my cloth.“Are you going to be okay?” Sky asked, clearly concerned as I touched the place where I was stabbed. The placed had healed up nicely like it had never been opened but then my eyes caught sight of the markings on my body that were similar to Rogue’s ma
RogueI could feel it. The third key’s power was getting stronger as the full moon approached. It was the perfect time for war and most supernaturals powers would be at its peak in those moments.August has been on edge as he spread his vines around, watching and observing for any danger that would come to harm the two keys in my possession.I was close to deciphering the spell placed on Samuel when he least expected but I wanted to gain his trust. I needed him to be on my side when everything began but so far I have only been able to complicate our relationship more and I hated him.I wished for him to call me mother and I wished to see my daughter as well who was trapped on the other side. I could always sense her when I crossed into Remission but when I went after her energy, the dimension would be forced to shut or I would encounter enemies.I was trying and everyone was against me simply because of I was their excuse for
LeaThe werewolves were known to be a traditional species that stuck to customs and laws like elves and dwarves but Elijah’s pack didn’t give off that traditional energy at all. They had a dual political system and the position which his partner had was more of a diplomatic position that was decided by appointment but they still answered to Elijah who was the head alpha and a first generation werewolf.I liked Donna, his partner and I understood why Brandon was her beta. She was a complete opposite of the sweet and gentle werewolf and it was hard to find a British that made sass look sexy.I was impressed with how much change had been developed but Elijah had pointed out it was very few packs that had evolved. My hands stopped on the doors of the hall where Elijah had invited me to attend the meeting before I pushed the doors opened and my presence called for silence.Eight alphas, seven central regions.
