Alice walked into the house. She walked to the stairs when she suddenly stopped. She decided to go to her mum and inform her about the party. "Mum," she called as she walked to her study. She entered and saw her father going through some files. He stood up immediately when he saw her."Hello princess," he said, smiling widely. "Hey dad, where is mum?" She asked. Nora laid on her bed trying to get some sleep. But no matter how long she tries, sleep seems to be miles away from her. Frustrated, she got up and walked to the window. She stared into space. She heard a knock on her door. She wondered who it could be. She was sure her mother would still be chatting with Lucas by now, and her father would probably be in the study with his head buried in piles of files. "Who is it?" She asked. "It's me," came the response from the other side of the door. She recognized the voice to be her father's. She wondered if she had perhaps done something wrong and was going to be scolded. "Come in dad," she said as she mentally prepared herself for what might happen next. The door creaked open and Alex walked in with a tray of food in his hands. She was a bit surprised by the gesture. Alice opened her eyes and yawned. She stood up groggy and walked to the bathroom. She saw her reflection in the mirror and screamed. She was quick to place her hand on her mouth to prevent her from screaming further. Her hair looked disheveled and her eyes looked so puffy. She ran to the bathroom. She came out after taking a bath and stared at herself in the mirror. She smiled at her reflection. She remembered how your g cared for her the previous night. She chuckled slightly.She got dressed and left the room. She made a mental note to avoid her mother at any costs. It was a typical day at Sunhill High, and the students were all in class, working on their latest assignments. In Ms. Johnson's class, the students were getting ready to start a new science project. Alice sat at her desk, looking confident and self-assured as she waited for the class to begin. Next to her, Nora sat quietly, her eyes fixed on the teacher's desk. The tension in the room was palpable, and the students could feel it in the air.Ms. Johnson stood up and began speaking, "Good morning, everyone! Today, we'll be starting a new science project…" she paused. "I've divided you all into groups of four," all the students groaned, revealing their disinterest. Ms. Johnson continued. "The groups will work together to complete the project. For this project, you'll be researching a local ecosystem. Each group will be assigned a different ecosystem, and you'll need to research its plants, animals, and other characteristics. You'll then write a report on your findings and present it to

"Oh there is a wallet here," Fred called the attention of the others. He picked it up and made to open it before Nora snatched it from his hands."Give it to me me," she said."Fine," Fred raised his hands defensively. "Hey! That is not fine. You can't just snatch something from someone like that." Alice fired at Nora. She snatched the wallet from her hands. "Give it back," Nora yelled."No I won't," Alice said. She tossed the wallet over to Reggie as Nora advanced towards her. "There is a passport, some money and some stuffs.." Reggie said, his voice trailing off.As Fred looked more closely at the bag, he realized that the body was inside it. The person had been stuffed into the bag and left in the forest. "Guys you need to see this," Fred said in horror. They all moved closer to the bag.The group was horrified, and they didn't know what to do.Suddenly, they heard the sound of sirens approaching. The police were on their way. The group looked at each other, their faces white

"Where is Reggie?" Fred asked "He is busy training with the rest. What do we do?" Alice cried."Keep your voice down, you're attracting people's attention." Nora hushed. "Let's go to the chemistry lab. It's the most isolated place when everyone is in class." She added."I'll get Reggie." Fred said before running off. "Hurry!" Alice said as they all split up.Fred ran off to the boy's locker room. He found Reggie with the rest of the football team."Hey nerd, what are you looking for? You're lost?" One of the boys said."No I'm here for Reggie." Fred said "Reggie can I see you for a moment?" He turned to Reggie."Why would you want to see the hottest jock in school, nerd?" The same boy said, advancing towards Fred."Back off, Thomas," Reginald said.Thomas turned to Reggie."Really man?!" He said."I'm not gonna repeat myself again." Reggie said.Thomas glanced at Fred one more time before retreating his steps. "Let's get out of here," Reggie said to Fred. "Thanks for standing up

The four friends sat in the police station, their hearts pounding. They had never been in a situation like this before. They were all scared and confused. The officer had just left the room, and they were left to sit in silence, trying to process everything that had happened. They had no idea what was going to happen next. All they could do was wait.The door opened and the Sheriff walked in holding a transparent bag containing a wallet in his hand. "Dad!" Nora called."You're in big trouble girl" he said through gritted teeth.He set the transparent bag down on the table in front of the four friends. "Your fingerprints were found on this wallet," he said. "We need you to tell us how that happened."The friends looked at each other, their minds racing. They were all thinking the same thing - what should they say? Could they deny it? Would that make them look guilty? Nora walked out of her classroom. She was the last person to leave the classroom. She dreaded going to the diner after what transpired between Alice and her during lunch. She felt like Alice was mad at her. She had barely taken a few steps out of the class when she heard a voice. "Thank God," She was startled. She turned around swiftly trying to figure out who the intruder was when she saw Fred sitting in a corner. "Gosh, you scared me," she said. "I thought you were never gonna come out, I was waiting for you," he said. "Why?" Was the first question that came to her mind, but she decided against asking. "Okay then, let's go," she said. "Yeah but I need help to stand up," he said and grinned. Nora rolled her eyes before walking to him. He helped him up and they both walked away. ...Nora and Fred walked into the diner. The bell rang signifying the end of the class and beginning of lunch break. A group of students, mostly girls, rushed towards Reggie. "Reggie, why have you been absent all these days?" A girl asked."What happened to your arm?" Another one asked."Are you hurt deeply?" The questions kept rushing in. "Relax, I just had a little accident at home," Reggie said with a smile."Did you fall down the stairs?" A girl chipped in.Reggie was about to reply to her when he caught a glimpse of Fred struggling to stand up from his seat with the crutches. He stood up from his seat and walked to him."Let me help you," he said.Fred looked at him surprised. It took him a few seconds to wrap his head around it. "You sure your friends wouldn't mind?" Fred asked, his gaze went behind Reggie. Reggie followed his gaze and saw the group that was talking to him earlier glaring at him. They were obviously shocked as they had probably never seen him talk to Fred before."They'd be fine," Reggie said and

Fred walked up to his mother who was sitting outside their trailer. He contemplated whether to tell her about what was on his mind but he later decided otherwise. He turned to go back into the trailer. Martha turned around when she heard footsteps. She saw her son struggling to walk into the trailer with his crutches. She called out to him. "Come sit with me "she said as she gently tapped the empty space beside her. Fred walked back to his mother and sat next to her. They both looked up to the sky. It was a starry night. It had become an habit of Martha's to stare at the stars on a starry night. She believed her late husband had become one of the stars shining bright and watching over them.Tears welled up in the corner of her eyes threatening to fall. She blinked in order to stop the tears from falling. Fred didn't notice the tears in his mother's eyes until she sniffed. His gaze traveled to her face. "Mum, you're crying," he said softly. Reggie walked into the garage. He laid on the only available couch, staring blankly at the ceiling. He decided to go to the main house to check on his father when the door opened. His father walked in. "Dad?" He called in surprise. Charles walked in. He stood at a corner. "I realized that we haven't really seen each other for the past few days, so I came here to hang out with you," he said. He saw the cast on Reggie's arm."You got hurt?" He asked and walked to him. He sat next to him. "How? Where? When?" He rushed the questions, his voice laced with worry. Reggie thought hard. He was trying to come up with a convincing story. He didn't want to tell his father that he got into an accident. "I got hurt while playing football in school the other day. It's nothing serious. The doctor just insisted that I wear a cast to protect it from getting infected," he said. "I understand that he was trying to cover the wound, but a cast seems a bit extreme since it's just a bruise," Charles

The doctor gave Fred his clutches."You will have to use these for a while, you'll be fine in a few days," he said. He turned to Martha."Please make sure they come regularly for check-ups," he said. "I will make sure of that, thank you very much sir," Martha said. The doctor nodded and left."We'll take our leave now," Martha said to the rest as she helped Fred out of the room. Fred turned at the door and waved at the rest. The room was silent as the three of them were hesitant to talk. Reggie made to stand from the bed when he accidentally hit his wounded arm. He let out a painful yell. Alice and Nora rushed to him but Nora was faster. "Are you okay? Did you get hurt? Do I need to call the doctor?" Nora rushed her questions with concern evident in her voice. Alice glared at her, her face, green with jealousy. She had noticed that Nora had a thing for Reggie. Who wouldn't? Nora walked into the house. She passed her father's study and saw the door opened. She peeked in and saw him sitting with his head thrown back and his eyes closed, numerous files scattered on his desk. He looked miserable from a distance. She wanted to go in when she saw her mother approaching with a tray in her hands. She quickly hid herself. She had no idea why she did that. "She wasn't doing anything bad after all, so why did she feel like she needed to hide?" The question rang in her brain.She watched her mother walk into the study. She peeked in to get a clearer view. For some reasons that she can't comprehend, she felt that she might hear something if she stayed enough. Maybe for a few more minutes. "I brought your coffee," Penelope said, gently placing the tray on the small table directly opposite the desk. She sat on the couch beside it and poured the coffee.
