For two seconds Alannah raised her head and stared at the man who was hugging and the thought that came to her mind was that he was handsome..

Not to exaggerate the description of that man but his features himself was able to put an average bodybuilder to shame..

His enchanting eyes were staring into hers and the more she looked at them the more she felt like she'd seen those pair of eyes before..

His pitch black eyes held her captive and no matter how hard she tried she wasn't able to look away..

His height and weight were bigger and higher than her..

His silky long hair was styled backwards perfectly..

Alannah gasps but couldn't make out a sound from her mouth..

She dropped her eyes from staring at him and wriggled free from his grip and tried to stand up but he pulled her into his embrace again and this time his voice became louder and clearer.

"Mine." He whispered into her ear that sent an indecipherable feeling down her stomach.

She'd heard that voice before..

It was the same voice in her dream every night asking her where she was...

Her body trembled in fear as she thought of the unimaginable..

Did he come to kill her ?

She tried to free herself from his muscled arms but her efforts were fruitless..

He kept hugging her tightly and her unique scent was able to calm his nerves and with his mate in his arms he could feel the serenity that he never felt for centuries..

The spark that lit up from the skin to skin contact with his half soul excited his wolf and made him crave for more..

It was an amazing feeling, something he hasn't felt for centuries..

It was like he was reborn after feeling lifeless and empty for centuries.

Is it the mate bond? He has never felt so helpless yet powerful at the same time.

He looked down at the fragile little human in his hands whose head could only reach his shoulder..

"What do you think you're doing,Mister? Let go of her now!" Nicklaus felt someone walk towards them and his body turned rigid as he let out a low growl.

Annah who had just recovered from the shock of being run over by a car tried to get away from the strange man but instead of letting her go he tightened his hold on her making her wince in pain..

"Why don't you make me?" For a moment his eyes turned red as he glared at the timid human standing not far from them but only came back to his senses when he heard the little human's voice..

"You're hurting me." Annah managed to voice out and something seemed to snap inside of him ..

He clenched his jaw in frustration as he tried to control herself.

From the very first time he felt her, he desperately had this strong urge to protect her from anything..

This stupid mate bond!!

He took a deep breath and opened his eyes and they went back to Blue and this surprised Annah because she could swear they were pitch black earlier...

His Ocean blue eyes were a friendly reminder that he was the same person who has been torturing him for years in his sleep..

Her hands began to tremble as she tried not to make it look obvious that she was dead scared..

His grip on her had loosened but she couldn't stand up because she'd sprained her ankle..

She managed to get on her feet and tried to move away from him but she ended falling back into his arms..

"Don't be afraid, I'm not gonna hurt you." He sounded like he was pleading and Annah strangely believed him.

There was this odd tingling sensation like there were butterflies in her stomach as she stared at him..

Annah stopped struggling but her fear was still there and her hands were trembling as she stared at her friend who was also confused about what was going on..

Elias got outta the car and walked towards his boss with a bewildered expression..

"Is she the one?" He asked..

"Yes she's Mine." Nicklaus declared and that seems to drive Caroline crazy.

Just who do they think they're..

"Listen I don't care who the f*ck you're! Let her go now else I'm gonna call the cops!" Caroline shot him an angry look as her patient was running thin..

She was at the cafe across the street waiting for her friend so they could celebrate her getting the job only to hear of an accident and when she got there, it was the scene of her friend being held by a man ..

"I don't know you and I don't think I'm the one you're looking for, let me go please." Annah mumbled in a timid voice and this made him calm down a bit..

"I'm Nicklaus Grey, CEO of Grey TECH and I'm taking her with me. Try and stop me if you can." Nicklaus said with a growl and Caroline's eyes widened in surprise..

He's Grey? The Grey?

Nicklaus Grey wants her friend?

It was a shocking revelation and also surprising given the nature of her friend who always kept to herself..

How did she manage to get the attention of the tech billionaire?

Caroline isn't the only one who's surprised..

Alannah was also Surprised as she stared at the man holding her..

What the hell was going on?

"I...I.. I didn't know you're Nicklaus Grey. I'm sorry if we caused you any trouble but you see my friend here isn't used to this kind of attention.." Caroline explained even though deep down she felt a little jealous..

Nicklaus didn't pay her any attention and kept his eyes on the little woman in his arms.

He took off his coat and placed it on her shoulder and this made her flinched..

"It's okay, you're coming with me okay?" He sounded like he was coaxing her and Alannah couldn't even say no..

She also wanted answers to why she was always dreaming about him even though they've never met..

She wanted to go over to Caroline's but he stopped her again..

"Please stay, I won't hurt you I promise." He could still see the fear and confusion in her eyes as he clutched her handbag tightly..

The moment she moved away from him, the spark he felt when their skin came in contact disappeared.. he took a deep breath before calming the beast in him that wants her so badly..

"I wanna go to my house." Annah boldly informed him the moment she got closer to her best friend...

"What's going Annah? Is there something you're not telling me?" Caroline was worried Annah had done something to gain the attention of the billionaire tech..

"It's fine, I would like to go home now." She told Caroline and Nick clenched his jaw in annoyance..

"We'll take you to your apartment if you don't mind, Miss." Elias spoke rather kindly but Annah just shook her head refusing to ride with that man.

"You're coming with me." Nicklaus told her sternly and she clenched her trembling hands..

"Let's just go with them, Annah and maybe he's gonna tell us why he's actually so strange.." Caroline adviced and she heaved a sigh.

After much persuasion from her friend she agreed to ride with Nicklaus to her apartment.

Throughout the ride he never gave her some space..

He held so close,Annah felt like he would crush her bone..

Annah was trying to act normal even though her glasses got broken when she fell to the ground and have been trying not to look around her...

She knows the driver is a wolf but strangely enough she couldn't see anything wrong with the man beside her and she wondered why..

He had the mysterious aura surrounding him and this kept people away from him ..

The ride to her apartment felt longer than expected and the very moment they arrived at her apartment she got outta the car first and rushed all the way to her room..

Caroline gave Nicklaus an apologetic smile before running after his friend only to find out she'd Locked herself in..

"Annah opens the door!" Caroline banged on the door while staring at the Man who was leaning against his car..

"I wanna be left alone please." Annah was shivering with fear as she hid under the blankets.

"Please open the door, let's hear what he has to say, okay?" Caroline was trying to persuade her but Annah let the fear take control of her.

She couldn't get out of bed even if she wanted to.

She was scared and nervous as she thought of what would become of her if she agrees to go with that man.

Caroline looked at the man standing behind her and gave him a hesitant sheepish smile.

"She locked herself in and I couldn't persuade her." She informed the tech billionaire who was already standing not far from her..
