Chapter 5

I wondered what those books were about. Just as I was about to open it and read, my mom called me and said that I was going to be late.

I immediately closed the box and kept it aside. Then I took my heels and headed down to the living room.

I bade my mom, goodbye and went outside my home. But I don't know what happened, I suddenly lost my consciousness.

When I woke up, I was in a dark room. It was scary. 

My hands and legs had been tied and I couldn't move.

I tried to scream but I couldn't. A cloth was stuffed into my mouth.

Then a man slowly came from behind and said, "Don't try to yell or escape, because no matter how hard you try, you can't escape. Hehehehehe. So you are from the rabbit clan, ha?."

I couldn't understand anything. Why was I kidnapped? And Rabbit Clan, what's that? I was scared. 

He came near me and held my chin. I was terrifed. He looked like a monster and had sharp teeth.

What was I going to do? How was I going to escape?

William! William, please come and save me. I don't know why, but the first person who came to my mind at that time was him. 

"Stop it," said a voice, "You date not touch her."

Then the door broke and finally light came in. I could see everything now. It was William. He had brought his men to save me.

"So you're the heir of the dragon clan, ha?," the man said as he looked at William.

Then he suddenly turned into a fox and ran towards William. But what happened later, was what I hadn't expected.

William turned into a large green dragon. Seriously! Was I dreaming? A dragon? For real?

"What is the fox clan doing here?," William asked the man.

"This was all a trap to bring you here. We had been observing you for a while," he said.

And soon a huge fight broke out. The fox jumped at the dragon and tried to kill him with his sharp nails.

But for god's sake, he's a dragon. How can you kill him with some nails? 

The fox was soon knocked into the wall. William had hit the fox with his tail. The fox turned back into a human. 

"I'll come back for revenge," the man said. William jumped in to attack him but the man suddenly vanished.

But William hit the wall and it was about to break and the building was about to fall.

William grabbed me with his legs and flew out. 

He then flew to his home and landed on the helicarrier. His parents were waiting for us there.

I was soon untied. William turned back into a human and came to me.

 He came to me and asked, "Are you alright?."

"Wait. Don't touch me. What are you? And what is going on? Did you just turn into a dragon? And now are you going to kill me? Please, I beg you. I promise I won't tell anyone about this. Please don't kill me," I begged him.

"You idiot, who said I will kill you!," he said. He then untied me and carried me into his home.

"How did you find me?," I asked. "Well, I have my ways," he said.

He placed me on the sofa. His parents were sitting in front of us.

They then told me that since ancient times there have been several interspecies on Earth.

They could transform into humans whenever they wanted.

There used to be a clan called wolf clan which was the strongest clan. But it disappeared after some time.

Then the dragon clan became the strongest. Mr Smith was the present leader of the dragon clan.

And so William was the Prince. Other clans who were jealous of them always wanted to defeat them and take their place.

And one of them was the fox clan. They had attacked them several times.

But when they couldn't defeat them with strength they began using mind-tricks like kidnapping someone or killing.

"But that fox-man told me something about me being from the rabbit clan," I said, "What did he mean?."

"Did he say so?," they asked in shock. I replied in affirmative. 

They then told me that the wolf clan and the rabbit clan had disappeared at the same time.

So if I was from the rabbit clan, then that means that everyone will go after me.

But they told me not to worry as they will always protect me. It was a lot of information for me to digest. 

After a while the maid brought some tea and placed it in front of us. We all began drinking tea.

Everyone was being calm except for me. It was to much for me. How was I going to be safe?

"Don't worry too much. I'll protect you," said William. I thanked him as I lifted my cup of tea and started drinking.

After drinking tea, it was almost late and William said that he would drop me home. Soon I was at my home.

I bade him goodbye and made my way into my house. My mom was waiting worriedly for me.

When I went in, she hugged me tightly. I tried to ask her about the rabbit and wolf clans with her during dinner.

When I asked her she began to cry. I asked her if she was alright. 

She then comforted herself and said that she was actually from the rabbit clan and my long lost father was from the wolf clan.

They were the sole survivors of their respective clans.

The lion and tiger clans had cooperated in back-stabbing the wolf and rabbit clans.

My father had been lost since he stayed back to buy time for me and my mother to escape.

Tears started rolling down my eyes when I heard about my father.
