This fight was a battle between them and these men who believed themselves to be gods. This wasn't some battle among mortals. They were fighting in a battle with the dragons. All the humans tried to flee or fight them, but unfortunately they weren't fast enough to avoid getting slaughtered and burned alive. Some managed to escape and make their way back to their villages in hopes that someone would help. But no matter which way they turned, nobody came. They were alone and helpless.Eventually, everyone else had either perished or run far away leaving only their own children to defend themselves against these beasts. Some fought them valiantly, while others did their best not to give in to fear and gave up.It didn't take them long to lose all hope and surrender themselves to the dragon clansmen.
