The amount of relief that passed through me was indescribable and I couldn't believe that I actually pulled it off.

The men I brought were taken away by Chayton's men and soon the excitement in the room died down.

"So, what's your strategy?" Chayton asked.

Renewed with confidence, I launched into it. "I have no idea when Troy will attack, but I have my men handling that. What matters to me is the cure and I want to storm his pace and take it."

Chayton rubbed his chin in thought. "Have you confirmed if he has it?"

My brows furrowed and a moment of panic punctured my confidence. Who would make a poison and not also make the antidote? "I didn't confirm but I assumed-"

"Ahhh." Chayton said, rising to his feet and wagging his forefinger. "When it comes to Troy, you don't assume. I have been unfortunately acquainted with him for years, and I learnt the hard way that Troy is a viper that cannot be underestimated."

I saw reason in what the Alpha said so I nodded. "I have someone th
