A Tempting Offer

CHAPTER FORTY-ONE

I went to the bathroom to clean up and try to calm down. My face still hurt from Orion's slap, and my eyes were red from crying. I looked in the mirror and barely recognized myself. I used to be happy and confident, but now I felt broken and humiliated.

I washed my face and changed into comfortable clothes. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened with Orion. He chose a maid over me! It didn't make sense, and it hurt so much.

I saw the note on my bed again. It said, "Want to take down Orion?" I wondered who wrote it and what they wanted from me. It seemed tempting, but also a little scary. I decided to ignore it for now and focus on feeling better.
