Rajveer

"I think it'd be better if you had more people taking care of you now that you're pregnant and that is the reason I have decided to tell both your parents and mine about us expecting." I told Roshni when we emerged from the bathroom. I was worried about her and needed more people to take care of her when I return back to work.

"No Raj! Please don't tell mum yet, I'm afraid of what she would think about my baby. If anyone tries to say anything bad about my baby, I...I... Don't know if I would be able to control myself," she said, avoiding my gaze. I understood how she felt at that moment, so I kept quiet. The last thing I wanted was the pregnancy to cause more rift between mom and Roshni.

"Don't worry, sunshine, no one will say anything against our baby. I'm with you in this, I won't allow that," I assured.

"But mum is still very mad at me," she reminded.

"I know, Roshni, but that's only because she doesn't know the whole story about what happened on that day," I said.

RoshniI really didn't want Raj to tell his family about my pregnancy yet, because I knew they...especially mum, would not believe the baby is her grandchild. I still needed to prove myself to her first. Raj came back to the room looking angry. Judging by his demeanor, I knew mom didn't take the news well. "Have you told them?" I asked."Just mum," he answered and sat down on the couch.I went closer to him and inquired, " what did she say?" "She doesn't believe the pregnancy is mine," he answered, not looking at me.I knew that would be her reaction after learning about my pregnancy, so it didn't bother me much. I was becoming used to her disliking me. "This was why I didn't want you to tell her just yet. I don't want to stay in this house anymore, let's leave please," I pleaded. I wanted to be as far away from the house as possible. No one trusted or believed me there, except for Raj. I didn't want to be surrounded with people who disliked me. "You know we can't leave, Sunshine

RoshniFew weeks passed by with Sam still being very cold with everyone in the family, including her dad. Not even one of us knew exactly what was wrong with her and no one bothered to ask. At some point, I started feeling pity for her and wondered what she was going through, but I didn't dare to ask, because I knew what the outcome would be; she would snap at me and tell me to stay out of her business. And for the past few weeks, Raj had been very helpful and loving towards me, since I was now ten weeks pregnant. When we got into little arguments, he always allowed me get my way, but what he Never agreed to was for us to leave the house and move to a separate one. He didn't like the idea at all.I was happy because dad was not angry with me anymore, after Raj explained what Sam did to him. He finally believed I was innocent and apologized for ever doubting me in the past, but he didn't have to, because I held no grudge against him...nor did I hold any against mom. They only believed

Third personWhen Sam got home, she waited for the opportunity to carry out her plan, but luck didn't seem to be on her side, because Roshni had not ask for any sort of drink. When she finally started thinking she wouldn't be able to carry out her plan that day, she saw one of their maid, coming out from Rajveer and Roshni's room. This is my chance. She thought and quickly approached her."Where are you going to?" Sam asked. "I'm going to get a glass of milk for Roshni ma-" She wasn't able to finish her statement, because Sam interrupted her."Please get my cell phone from my room, I need it urgently," she lied. "But R-" Don't worry about that, I will prepare the milk before you get back, all you'd have to do, is to take it to her,"Sam said."Okay," the middle aged maid answered and made her way to Sam's room.Sam rushed to the kitchen and poured some milk into a glass, then she brought out the tiny container containing the pills given to her by Mallika. Rajveer"Rajjjjjj." I heard Roshni shouting immediately I stepped into the house. I threw everything I was holding in my hands aside and dashed to our room, where I met Roshni screaming and clutching her stomach in pain. I rushed to her side."Are you alright, Roshni?" I asked, even though I knew she was not, judging by the way her face was scrunched up in pain."My baby Raj, our baby." she screamed, this time, louder. My gaze drifted down to her legs and my eyes widened on their own accord, Roshni was bleeding. The baby's life was in danger. I swiftly carried her to my car and then drove to the hospital in speed. I hoped and prayed silently that nothing bad should happen to any of them. "Roshni, sunshine," I kept on calling her name to make sure she was still conscious."Please hurry up Raj, I'm in pain," Roshni cried."We're almost there, sunshine. You will be fine, our baby will be fine," I assured and continued driving fast. My attention was not really on the road, I was very wo

RajveerAs soon as I left home, I went directly to Yash's apartment to cool down a bit. I was was angry and didn't want Roshni to see me like that. Yash couldn't believe Sam could do something as evil as that when I narrated everything to him. "How could Sam do that to Roshni!" Yash asked in disbelief. He knew Sam was not that heartless before. "She doesn't like her." I replied. "That doesn't give her to right to do what she did. Why can't she just accept her as her sister in law when you have already accepted her as your wife? The reason behind her hatred towards Roshni is because you didn't love her then, right?" I nodded. "Then why does she still hate her now that you love her?" Yash asked."Don't ask me that. I wish I know the reason, but unfortunately, I don't. I just don't understand Sam anymore and the reason dad got so mad at me for slapping Sam, didn't he hear the horrible thing Sam did?" I asked."I guess he got mad because you were losing control and no dad would stay a

  • Expectation Of Love    Chapter Fifty-Two

RajveerThroughout the drive to Roshni's parents' house, she didn't speak a word to me and when I did, she completely snubbed me. She was still mad over the conservation we had at the hospital yesterday.I parked the car in front of her parents' house. I expected her to just get down from the car without bidding goodbye to me, but she did the opposite, she surprised me by what she said."I'm sorry for lashing out at you yesterday, I didn't mean to, I was just so angry and couldn't help thinking what would have happened if I had lost my baby." she explained. She didn't have to, because I knew she was not at fault at all. Her anger was justified, because I didn't think at that time before speaking. I understood and accepted I was wrong. "Apology accepted for nothing. Why are you apologizing? Huh? I was equally as angry as you were when I found out and reverse is the case, I should be the one apologizing for my unreasonable suggestion," I admitted."Really? You are not mad at me?" She a

RoshniI woke up with a nauseating feeling and rushed to the bathroom to throw up. The morning sickness had not been easy for me for the past two days. I emerged from the bathroom and sat on the bed for some seconds, due to the dizziness I was feeling and as if Raj knew I was not feeling too well, he called. I received and we talked for approximately thirty minutes. He asked if everything was fine with me and I answered in affirmation. We talked about random stuff before I finally ended the call. I wanted to know what was going on at my matrimonial home, but Raj had not spoken a word about it, so I kept mum. I'd just have to wait for the time he would decide to tell me. Suddenly, my phone started vibrating on the nightstand. I picked it up and answered without looking at the caller ID. I thought it was Raj calling again."Raj m—" "It's me Roshni," came mum's voice. Why was she calling me when we are in the same building?"Mum?" I asked and pulled my phone away from my ear to take

  • Expectation Of Love    Chapter Fifty-Four

RoshniIt's been a week since I have been staying at my parent's. I really missed Raj, though he visited almost everyday, but it was not the same as living in the same house as him, where I get to see him before I sleep every night and the first person I see when I wake up . The difference was huge. I emerged from the bathroom after the usual - throwing up, and met Raj in my room sitting on the bed. The excitement I felt was immeasurable. It was as if I was seeing him after a year or more, when in reality, it was just a day.I ran over to him, hugging him and he wrapped his hands around me."I missed you.""I missed you, sunshine," he pulled back and placed a lingering kiss on my forehead.I was curious about what was happening at home. I couldn't wait for Raj to tell me when he wanted anymore, so I asked him, "how is everyone doing at home?" "Everyone is fine. Mum and dad miss you."Mom missed me? That was hard to believe, given how much she hated - maybe it was not up to hatred, b

Roshni as well as Raj were shocked by what Eshaan did. It wasn't like him to something like that to his sister. He has always been overprotective of her. "What she said is true... You only like her and not me!" Eshaan bursted into tears, his gaze fixed on his father, making it obvious that his outburst was directed at him. Raj couldn't believe what came out of Eshaan's mouth. Knowing how he was, Raj knew it must have been with him for a very long time for him to blurt everything out now and Kiran telling him that only added fuel to the fire. He shook his head in disbelief and muttered "these kids" under his breath. "That's not true, baby," Roshni was quick to chime in, putting Kiran down and moving closer to Eshaan. Just as she was about to touch him, he moved back. But that didn't stop Roshni from holding his tiny hands in hers. "Daddy loves you just as much as he loves Kiran. You both are his kids. We love you equally. There is no favoritism. None at all. You and your brother are

"Why are you telling me this now? Does Raj know about this?" Roshni asked. "No no... He doesn't and I don't want him to know... Just yet. I'm telling you all these right now because I need someone to confide in and I figured you're the best person for that right now," Sam shrugged. "What do you want to happen now?" Roshni asked, curiously. "I want you to please support me. That's all I need from you," Sam replied, her eyes glistening with tears. A support from a single person was what she needed at that moment. She feared Roshni might not be able to support her. It was her worst fear. "Your parents will never be able to accept him. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this to discourage you, but for you to be fully prepared," Roshni voiced. She had come to know the family she married into. "I know," Sam stated, sadly. She, of all people knew how judgemental her family tended to get. And despite knowing that, giving up wasn't in her dictionary. "And you still insist on going ahead w

Roshni looked at him in disbelief. "What did the girl do? It doesn't matter what she did. Kiran has no right at all to hit her or anyone else and that's why I'm going to punish her this time. She needs to know what she did is wrong and never have to repeat it again." "Didn't you promise never to hit someone again?" Raj asked Kiran, who had her head rested on Raj's shoulder and hands tightly wrapped around his neck. "But she started it first! She stole my drawing book," Kiran defended herself. "You should have reported her to your teacher, why didn't you?" Raj asked, putting her down unwillingly due to how tight her grip was around him. She didn't want him to put her down but he had to, to make her see and know how serious he was about her spiteful behavior. "I'm sorry daddy," she apologized, her eyes welling up with tears. "Tell me, what happens in school when you do something wrong?" Raj asked swatting down to her level. "They punish us," she replied. "And why?" He questioned.

Six years later... "Alright teacher, I'm so sorry about her behaviour," Roshni finished talking to her kids' teacher and threw a glare at Kiran. "What happened in school today?" She asked, trying to keep her anger at bay. She was tired of receiving a complaint call about Kiran almost everyday. It needed to stop!"We were given a classwork by our teacher, I dre-" she was still talking when Roshni cut her off. "You know exactly what I'm asking of Kiran," she said, sternly. "Why did you hit a pupil in school today?""I didn't-" she attempted to lie. "You know you can't lie to me right? Now give me an answer, why did you? " Roshni asked a bit more sternly now. "She pissed me off!" Kiran yelled. "How so?" Roshni questioned. "She took my drawing book away!" Kiran answered with attitude. "She did? And is that a valid reason to hit her?" Roshni asked. She was beginning to lose her patience with her. She was becoming too spoiled for her liking. Roshni could remember the time when such co

RoshniSix months later "Push!!!" The midwife yelled from between my spread legs. I pushed with all of my might and screamed. The contractions were in every forty seconds. Taking deep breaths proved cumbersome for me. The pain was unendurable for me. I couldn't bear any of it and I started to panic. What if I didn't make it or worse, my children. Yes, it was confirmed months ago by a doctor during one of my ultrasound exams. Raj and I were overjoyed for the double blessing God had given us. "Ahhhhh!!!" I screamed in anguish as my contractions came back in full force. I squeezed Raj's hand harder in return to somehow numb the pain. He wiped my sweat away with handkerchief and kept on encouraging me to try harder and that the pain was all for our babies. He was speaking to me, but I couldn't hear a word he was uttering as my mind went blank and his voice as well as the voices of the midwives and doctors floated in the air and dissipated. I was drowning in the unbearable pain that seem

She asked the question she had been longing to know the answer to. "Just ten," Yash replied and Vidhi sprung up. "What! Ten? You're kidding!" She said."No I'm not!" Yash denied."You don't love me anymore, do you?" Vidhi asked feigning hurt. "Of course I do, that's why I wanna have lots of babies w

Roshni"Pregnant!" I announced with smiles written all over my face. "Uhm... Sunshine, don't you think we need to confirm it first?," he asked. I knew he would say something like that and that was why I kept the proof in a safe place beforehand to show it to him. "I knew you'd think so and that's why -" I went over to the bedside and picked up the used pregnancy tests I had kept in a bowl and walked back to him. His eyes shimmered with happiness. "All positive," I grinned. I kissed her on the forehead before sweeping her off her feet and spinning her around. I was grateful for the wonderful gift God gave us when we least expected."Yes! Yes!! Yes!!!" I kept on chanting euphorically. I was going to be a father... Again. It was unbelievable! "Stop," I giggled. I was beginning to feel somewhat dizzy. Raj instantly stopped and dropped me to my feet. He led me to the bed and made me sit down. I chuckled at how careful he was suddenly treating me. "Are you alright?" He asked with conce
