Evan's P.O.V.
Saturday night came and I felt anxious. Wasn't Annie supposed to go on a date with Brent? Why was I nervous? Why do I care in the first place? These questions kept circulating in my brain but I didn't feel like thinking too hard about it.
I looked out the window and waited for her to come out. How late was this movie? A couple more hours went by but still no Annie. I should just go do my own thing. Why was I worried about her date?
But I couldn't take it anymore. I had to know what she was up to. I was just so used yo having her my side all the time it was hard for me to leave her alone.
I got my binocular out and pointed at her window. Yeah, I know what you are thinking. Creepy stalker much? Well, I've done worse things. And it's not like I am going to sit here and watch her undress. I don't get off watching naked chicks from the distance. Besides, she has no boobs anyway.
She was laying on her bed with her face down on the pillow. Her body was shaking a little. Is she crying? That's it...time to drag her out of the room.
Meet me at the park. RIGHT NOW! I capitalized the text message so she knows I am serious.
She came to the park in ten minutes. She was wearing her dress. She was shivering lightly. Why didn't she wear a sweater, stupid girl.
I noticed her cheeks were red and her eyes were puffy as she came closer. Like she had been crying.
"What? The Squirrel stood you up?" I smirked.
She looked down and nodded.
"So what? You've been bawling your eyes out for that dimwit? Why did he ditch you anyway?" I looked at her curiously.
"He..he said Megan asked him to hang out tonight so he couldn't say no, he is taking her to the movies instead," she wiped her tears.
"Who the fuck is Megan?" I demanded to know.
"Megan Lowe. He said he always liked her but she never paid attention to him so he was happy when she called her," she said quietly.
Oh hell no. That squirrel ditched my hamster as soon as he found another tail to chase? That shits not gonna fly with me. I was suddenly feeling furious. I wanted to twist that squirrel's neck.
"Let's go," I said and grabbed her hand.
"Huh? Where?" she looked surprised.
"To his house," I said and dragged her to the car. I pushed her inside and shut the door.
"Wait! Evan! Why are we going to his house?" Annie squealed.
"To teach him a lesson, of course. What else. He thinks he can just switch girls that easily? I won't stand for it!" I declared.
"But, you do it all the time?" Annie looked at me innocently.
True. I was being hypocritical. I have ditched one girl for another before. Quite a few times. But this was different!
I stopped the car at his driveway. We are going to wait here until he comes back from his date.
"I don't get it, why did you bring me here?" Annie asked.
"Just be quiet and wait for him to arrive," I said.
We sat in the car for two hours while Annie pouted next to me. I saw him arrive at the house. A car dropped him off and left. He must not drive.
"HEY, YOU!" I yelled at him. He was so startled that he almost tripped.
"Wha...what? Evan? What are you doing in my house?" he looked scared.
I strode toward him with Annie behind me. I caught up to him and grabbed him by his collar. "You...how dare you ditch Annie!" I roared.
Brent flinched. "Ah...um...I don't understand. I didn't ditch her," he stammered.
"Did you, or did you not ask her out tonight?" I asked.
"Yes?" he looked at me questioningly. He was starting to sweat despite the cold weather.
"Then why the fuck were you with some tramp named Megan? What does she have that Annie doesn't!" I demanded answers. I raised my fist like I was going to hit him.
"Is it because she has no tits?" I asked.
"EVAN!" Annie protested from behind. Oops, that came out wrong.
"I...I...I don't know! Look, man, I wasn't trying to hurt Annie. She is just not my type," Brent said nervously.
"NOT YOUR TYPE?" I yelled. "What's not your type? She is smart, Sweet, and Cute. And that's not your type? You are one to talk. You look like a goddamn petrified squirrel!" I said and poked him on the chest. He stumbled backward but didn't fall. What a shame.
"Evan, let him go. Let's just go home," Annie finally spoke behind me. Her voice sounded high pitched.
"Be quiet Annie this is between me and Brent," I said to her and turned back to Brent. "Are you gonna date her or not?" I asked him with gritted teeth. I don't know why I was so angry.
"I...I can't..I.." Brent started to blabber. He looked like he was about to go through a cardiac arrest. I don't blame him. Most people were scared of at school and he was no exception.
"EVAN STOP IT!" Annie screamed. I let go of Brent and looked at her. "You can't force him to date me so just stop it. Please!" she pleaded. "I don't want to go out with him anyway. We are just friends. Right Brent?" she looked at Brent.
"Y...yes. I am sorry Annie. I swear I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I wanted to be upfront and tell you about her but I couldn't muster up the courage to say it sooner. Could you please tell Evan not to beat me up?" he said. His eyes were still huge with fear. Pathetic loser.
"Get inside the house. I better not see your face near my Annie again," I said calmly.
Brent nodded and scurried off immediately. Annie looked at him running with a horrified expression on her face then looked back at me. She looked shocked at my behavior and honestly, I was shocked myself.
Evan's P.O.V.I drove her back to our neighborhood and parked the car. She wasn't crying anymore but she had a grim expression on her face."You didn't have to scare him like that," she said quietly."What, you are still worried about that
Evan's P.O.V.I had a suspicion Annie's mother had been abusing her for years but I wasn't sure. Her mother looked like an ordinary woman who was all smiles when she was in front of strangers. Even me. But every time I saw new bruises on Annie's face, I knew immediately that her bitch mother had something to do with it. And the other day, Annie slipped and told me about her mother hitting her for breaking the old pair of glasses. Even though I was the one responsible, she got punished for it.
Annie's P.O.V.How long have I been asleep? I had no idea. I remembered my eyelids feeling heavy as soon as I put my head on Evan's pillow. I should probably go home.I didn't want to open my eyes. I felt so warm and comfortable."Are you p
Evan's P. O. V."What's her problem?" Lily said."Huh? What are you talking about?" I raised my eyebrows."The girl who is always following you around? Don't you get annoyed?" she asked.
Evan's P. O. V.I smiled as I saw Annie wearing the dress I gave her. I would've gotten more for her if I knew she would look this adorable in it."Hi," she said shyly."Did you have any problem sneaking out?" I asked.
Evan's P. O. V.I took her by the arm and dragged her to my car. When I saw her standing there watching me and Lily making out, I thought I saw sadness flicker in her eyes. I wanted to see if she was mad or jealous afterward but she looked like she was having a good time with Mike. Then I was the one who got jealous."What were you getting all buddy buddy with Mike for?" I snarled.
Annie's P. O. V.I stood there frozen as Evan kissed me. I didn't know what to think or how to feel. His lips felt soft. I never wanted it to end. If only I could see his face clearly while he kissed me.He broke the kiss and grazed my cheeks. His hand felt so warm and loving I couldn't hold my emotions in. Tears started to stream down my cheeks.
Evan's P. O. V.I ate my dinner distractedly. I kept thinking Annie wasn't eating properly, I don't know why."What's wrong honey? Is the steak not good?" My mom was concerned."No, it's great. What's for dessert?" I asked to divert her att
Evan's P.O.V.I grinned as I saw Annie giving me the evil eyes from across the room. All because I talked to Melanie at the party. Oh, my sweet little jealous hamster. Doesn't she know it was impossible for me to think about another girl? After being hesitant, we ended up at the party. But here I was being burned by her jealous eyes whenever I talked to Melanie. Sure, I could just avoid Melanie, but it was too much fun seeing A
Annie's P.O.V.Relief washed over me as I saw them take my mother and her boyfriend away. She was a sick woman. Maybe she will have some time to reflect on her actions in jail. As far as our relationship goes, it was over. She never looked at me as her daughter so from now on I won't be calling her my mother.Nothing went wrong for the next couple of months. I enrolled myself at a university and got a part time job. It was just
Annie's P. O. V."You've got to be kidding me! You can't just show up and ask me for money!" I cried."And why can't I," she looked at me with distaste."You abused me for years and then left me when I turned blind. Why would I possibly giv
Evan's P.O.V.Annie wouldn't look me in the eyes ever since we slept together. It was as if she became even shyer. It has been a week since she moved into my place but she still turned red every time I touched her and asked to make love to her.I smirked as she kept stealing glances at me during breakfast. My cute little hamster.
Evan's P. O. V.I gently placed her on the bed and smirked. Her face was beet red as she was blushing immensely. Why is she still so shy around me?I pulled off my T-shirt over my head and tossed it to the side. Her eyes turned wide with sh
Evan's P. O. V."Are you sure this is a good idea?" Annie frowned and looked at me then at the bed. Her hazel eyes were wide.I smirked. We are at my new apartment which only had one bed. That means little hamster gets to sleep with lil ole me.
Evan's P. O. V.I prepared to pick up Annie along with Mike and Lily. My heart felt heavy but this time it was because I was so happy I could explode."Stop smiling like that, it's creeping me out," Mike said."Yeah, me too," Lily agreed.
Evan's P. O. VI went to see her grandma that day. I didn't have much time. She opened the door and stared at me intently. "Ah, you are Stacy Green's boy. What are you doing here?""I didn't think you'd remember me," I let out a nervous chu
Evan's P. O. V.I came to see her for one reason only. To know how she felt about me and end this chase once and for all. When I kissed her and touched her I got all the answers I needed. The way she reacted told me I wasn't lying to myself when I thought she still loved me. She was still mine and I am not leaving without her this time.
