Chapter:3 Gave birth to my Quadruplet

The doctor brought the test result and sue smiled, Alice was wondering why she was smiling.

“ Mrs Harriet! Can you please tell me what is the matter with me? I need to know maybe I need medical attention, I am been feeling so bad for days now and I don’t understand my body system anymore” she says and the doctor gave her the report, Alice took it and she glance th touts d she does not understand.

“ What is it? I don’t understand anything here”she says and the doctor smiles.

“ It’s simply means that you are three weeks pregnant” the doctor says and Alice could not believe her hears because she already gave up on having a child or even getting married again, Alice glance through the paper and she was happy, she was overwhelmed, tears fell from her eyes and it drop on the papers when she remembered that today is Mike and Layla’s wedding moreover Mike is not the father of her child but she does not know who the father of her child is but she vow to gave birth to the child no matter what, she is happy that she is not barren, she already lost hope and gave up, she thank the doctor and she walked out of the hospital knowing that she is prettier a good news, she remembered that she does not have a job to take care of child and pay end bills, she tried to look for job but unfortunately she didn’t and she decided to do many manual jobs, she walked in the restaurant, she has been a cleaner, a maid and etc, she did many menial jobs just to take care of her child and when she found out that she was having four and not just one child she became more happy and overwhelmed.

After some month she was rushed to the hospital when she was in labor and she was abandon by her neighbors, she lost a lot of blood but she mange to give both to the kids and she paid the hospital bill with the little money she had saved, she gave birth to two boys and a two girl, she named them ( Henry, Harriet, Harry and Hanna)she smiled when she saw the face of her kids, she was emotional and overwhelmed.

It’s five years later and Layla has not yet given birth to a child, she her mother have been humiliated by the family and she has not been happy with her marriage, she has been called barren also and she remembered when Alice laid a curse on her, she was in her mum’s room in the mansion, Mike and his family has been threatening to kick her out of the house if did not convive, the truth is that after the wedding, she lied that she has a miscarriage, her mum was in her bed in the room thinking about solutions because she does not want to be kicked out of the house just like they did to Alice.

“ Mum! What is going with me? I have not conceive since I got married to Mike? What is going?” She ask.

“ Layla! I don’t know what to say or do right now but one thing I know is that I can’t go back to be poor like I use to, the doctor said that you are fine” Marina says.

“ Could it be the curse Alice laid on me years ago mum?” She ask.

“ I don’t think si dear, I don’t believe in all that. Mike has never went for a check up. Could it be that he is the problem because we both know that Alice was innocent and she was not barren but in other to kick her out then we had to pan the fake result and now the same with you” Marina her mother says.

“ I think you are right mum, Mike needs to go for test as well so we can know what the problem is” Layla says and she her mother went downstairs and she met Carolina and Betty, Mike was also seated on his favorite sofa in one corner.

“ Well, I wanted to speak to you Mrs Carolina White” Marina says.

“ What is you want to say? Is your daughter pregnant?” She ask.

“ No” Marina replies.

“ Oh, I knew that that reply will be positive, we kept on hearing no, no, no. This was the same reason why Alive was kicked out of the house and now the same goes to you, it’s seems your family is curse or something” Betty says.

“ Watch your mouth Betty. Alice is not part of my family but come to think of it Alice married Mike and she could not conceive and now the same bing is goes to my daughter, I think the person to be check is Mike, I think he need to go for a test” Marina say and Carolina yells at her.

“ What are you trying to say that my son is sterile? This is impossible.” Carolina says and Mike was upset and he stood up.

“ I never said that your son is sterile boy I think he should also go for test, my daughter has been going for so many test and the results kept on saying that sue is fine” Marina says and Mike close to them.

“ I have had a enough of this nonsense and I think it’s time to get a divorce” Mike says and Layla was surprised.

“ Mum! See what you have caused” Layla says and Mike went upstairs in anger and Layla went after her, Marina and Caroline stare at each other and they both frown.

Harry, Harriet, Harry and Hanna have already close from school and they are going back home and a car hit Harry and ran away, Harry was rushed to the nearest hospital, Harriet, Henry and Hanna were scared that something bad had happened to Harry, Alice got the news that her Harry was hit by a car and he was admitted ti the hospital, Alice ran ti the hospital, she had already lost her job but already apply for another job and waiting for their reply, she saw her children in the hospital( Harriet, Henry and Hanna) and they ran to hug her, the doctor took her to ward Harry was admitted to and she saw that Harry had latest opened his eyes.

“ Harry! Are you ok?” She ask emotionally and Harry nods his head.

“ Yes mummy! I am fine” he replies and Alice hugs him and the doctor stood and looks at the doctor and she stood up from the sick bed.

“ Doctor! Tell me how is my son doing?” She ask.

“ Your son is not fine at all because he is suffering from leukemia but you should not worry it has been suppress already but I will still advise you to get some money so it can be treated but you have to save your son’s life” the doctor says and Alice was surprised that Harry had leukemia.

“ Leukemia!” She asked and tears fell from her eyes.

“ Yes madam” the doctor replies.
