Celine’s pov

It was already thirty minutes past the normal close of school. I knew too well not to keep Henry waiting, so I briefly closed the files and adjourned all unresolved issues to the next working day. I needed to go pick up my child. Over time, I had developed a routine of dropping him off and picking him up from school myself. I could easily hire the services of countless staff if I chose to, but I wouldn’t leave my son in the care of another when I was around and in good health.

Henry was worth more to me than anything I had ever acquired, and so he was always my top priority. I hired a nanny and a cook just to please Evelyn, but their duties were strictly limited to my orders.
