Old Mistake

"Akhh!" A shout came from outside the entrance of the reading room.

 

A moment later, the door to the room was kicked in until it hit the wall hard.

"Attack them!" the white-furred wolf commanded.

 

Immediately, the leader of the enemy group pushed Venus' body to divert attention so that he could escape through the window behind him.

 

In the meantime, Venus' body had fallen back to the floor. She opened her eyes weakly while directing her gaze towards Aurel's body, which was currently also lying on the floor.

 

"Get up!" Snapped the white-furred wolf, who had now changed his form into a human form.

 

Venus then turned to stare at the legs of the man standing near her head. "Leon," she muttered the name of the man who saved her.

Yes, she could recognize the voice of the man who saved her because Leon was her brother-in-law.

 

"Wake him up!" Leon ordered two of his men.

"Too long," Leon said as he lowered his hand that had been stretched out for a few seconds, waiting for Venus' hand.

 

Then Venus quickly grabbed Leon's hand. "My bones are broken; I can't carry Aurel's body," she said while looking into Leon's eyes.

 

Leon chuckled in annoyance and then bent his body to carry Venus' body. "Take Miss Aurel!" he ordered without turning around.

 

"Yes," Leon's men replied quickly.

 

Then Leon carried Venus out of the mansion through the large window that the enemy leader had used to escape.

 

'You must be safe, my dear,' Venus thought as she continued to stare back.

She continued to do so until she finally saw one of Leon's men carrying Aurel's body out through the same window. And a few seconds later, a large explosion was heard from the side of the mansion; a large fire was seen starting to burn one side of the mansion that had been his residence for three years.

 

"Do you want to cry?" asked Leon, who was currently running and jumping over the roofs of the houses around the mansion while carrying Venus' body.

 

"My tears are already dry, Leon," she replied with her eyes returning to Leon, who was carrying her body.

 

"Good, if it's like that, you won't get my clothes wet," said Leon, who was currently running and jumping over the roofs of the houses around the mansion while carrying Venus' body.

"Where are you going?" A question came from the man who suddenly entered the room.

 

Venus, the doctor and the nurse in the room immediately turned to the man who was currently walking towards them with a cold gaze.

 

"Where's Aurel?" asked Venus as she again tried to get off the bed.

 

But Leon was faster, he was already in front of Venus. "She's in the right place," he replied with the same cold expression as before.

 

"The right place, what do you mean?" asked Venus who was now able to stand up although her right hand was still holding onto the bed. She then grabbed Leon's arm to hold on to. "Please tell me where Aurel's body is, I want to see it," she pleaded.

 

"Where do you think I'll take her, of course she's in a specialized hospital. Do you want me to move her to the Delmonte family residence?" he replied in a cold tone.

 

"No," Venus quickly denied. "Your family doesn't care about Aurel. I'd rather take care of her myself."

 

Then Leon turned to the doctor. "Explain to her how Aurel is doing," he ordered in an even tone.

 

"Madam, your daughter is currently in a coma. There is bleeding inside her brain. We are still trying to treat the problem, but..." The doctor seemed hesitant to continue.

 

Venus turned to the doctor. "But what?" she asked curiously.

 

"It seems that there was already a problem with her brain before this incident and with the impact on her head the problem has worsened so that she needs special treatment and that treatment cannot be done here," the doctor answered calmly so that Venus would not panic.

 

But of course a mother will still panic when she hears of her child's poor condition. "So what, what can I do to save her?"

 

Suddenly Leon grabbed Helen's chin and he gently brought her face up and turned to look at him. "There is one special hospital that can save my niece's life."

'Does that mean he can take Aurel there?' thought Venus who was dumbfounded at the smile.

A moment later Venus quickly pulled out the IV that was stuck in her left hand, then she knelt in front of Leon. "Please save my daughter, I will do whatever it takes," she said while bowing her head.

 

"Why don't you ask your husband for help?" Leon asked with a mocking smile.

 

'Alan once refused to become a member of that hospital, even insulting the founder. Aurel won't be able to get in there using Alan's name,' he thought as he clenched his fists.

 

A moment later Leon leaned over and whispered in Helen's ear. "Did you think about Alan's arrogance before?"

 

Helen immediately looked back at Leon. "So you know everything?"

 

"Don't pretend you don't know how the Delmonte family members are related," Leon said as he looked into Venus' eyes from a very close distance.

 

"Tell me what you want from me so that you will help me," Venus said as she raised her head to look at Leon who was now standing straight again.

 

"Come to me like four years ago."
