Nicole's POV

For almost two weeks now, I've been in much better health and no longer have to use a wheelchair. I could walk smoothly without feeling as unsteady as before and run around the garden at my house for a few laps without my breathing feeling too heavy.

Richard and my father seemed satisfied with my recovery, so I could now come to my office as usual.

Not many people knew that I had recently had surgery other than my secretary at the office. It was my father who told her and assigned her as my health supervisor while I was working so that I wouldn't overdo my work and fall ill like before.

I felt somewhat disturbed that my work seemed to be restricted, but I also realized that something like that needed to be done to better control myself and prevent what had happened a second time. After all, that secretary of mine had already rescheduled all the deals and cooperation agreements that would be done before I had the surgery.
