Chapter 228

Chris’ POV

I already knew that something like this would happen even though it wasn't me who came, but it still made my heart ache with his rejection. I sighed, asking the man who contacted me again.

"Did you say that the bouquet of flowers was just a reward for Nicole's successful surgery?"

She must have received some other bouquet of flowers or congratulations if her father had announced this, but I was indeed the only person outside the Duncan Family who knew of this happy event. I just felt happy for her, but it seemed like she didn't even want to accept this simple thing.

Evan sounded frustrated. "You already know who I have to deal with here to deliver this bouquet safely, right, sir? Please understand."

The man started complaining, saying some of the things he had to deal with before even reaching Nicole's bedroom door. There were several staff who were twice her size, with intimidating faces. He was sweating even though the hospital hallway was quite cold.

nicole have a heart to chris, anyway you have a son with him, and he really regreted to his past mistakes, but that mistakes was done because somebody had manipulated and meddled to his relationship with nicole

I'm starting to pity Chris, He deserves to be happy even though he made mistakes he didnt do it intentionally. but he deserves how Nicole treated him it's natural to not trust him after all the hardship she went through and wants to move on with another man who shows her sincerity.
