Three days have passed since I went to the interview. I layed on my bed watching Gossip Girl on my laptop and scrolling through social media on my Ipad. I had just finished editing a content video for tiktok and I*******m, I had a lifestyle, aesthetic account. I didn't show my face, I posted little vlogs and aesthetic videos of my lifestyle and so far I have gathered quite a lot of fan base. And I was given a name by my viewers, Soft girl aesthetic which I made as my bio on all my socials. I had about forty thousand followers on tiktok and twenty thousand on I*******m. Ryan had advised me to go full time into content creation as I had already started getting recognition from brands and brand deals. I enjoyed creating little vlogs of my life and editing it, I had never considered taking the content creation serious I was simultaneously talking to Ryan on the phone. “Girl, why would you do that? A boy came to talk to you and you dissed him? Was he ugly? How cute was he?” She asked as I told her about what happened the other day at Starbucks. “Let's say an eight out of ten” I replied “Babes, when was the last time you dated anyone?” She asked out of nowhere “Ever since you know who….” I got out of a toxic and unhealthy relationship about two years ago, I haven't seem to find myself in a relationship ever since for some reason. “When was the last time you even had sex?” She asked, again. “That was so unexpected, I haven't been intimate with anyone since him as well” “Wow girl, it must be a sahara desert down there” She blurted “Ryan, that was uncalled for” I scolded while blushing. Although sometimes I do get needy especially on my menstrual cycles but I’ve always been able to handle those sexual urges. I had thought he actually had a common sense and not bother moving forward “Jesus, you scared me, what is it? What made you scream?” Ryan asked “I got the job Ryan, I got the damn job” I shouted “Am I supposed to be happy for you or not?” She asked confused “That jerk still had the audacity to give me the job, oh I am so gonna kill him now” “Brielle, I think you're going about this with a hot head, I mean if you were to calm down and think about this, this is a great opportunity for you, you get to work at a very prestigious company and the pay is really good. You've always wanted a Job like this” She stated. Ryan was right. This was my dream job if not from the fact that it came from my ex bully. I just couldn't bring myself to stand in the same space with him and not lose control over my thoughts or fall apart, he hurt me really bad and just giving me a golden opportunity wouldn't solve it, not even in a million years “I will never ever work for Mateo Caldwell” I stated and then hung up the phone. I thought he actually listened to me and didn’t bother contacting me. I never expected this. What did he want with my life? Was he back to ruin it all? Just when I had begun to think life was perfect for me and now he was back to make me suffer and be traumatised all over again, but this time, I won't go down without a fight. I was not the fat, meek and naive seventeen year old from high school anymore. I wouldn’t let a person walk all over me anymore, even if that person is my stepbrother. I thought those words in my head before I fell asleep. ***** Two more days have passed and I still haven’t replied to the email. I was supposed to come into the office for job confirmation. I won’t be bothered working at a company with him, never in my life. I was watching the large eighty inch tv in our modern living room and checking for interesting shows to watch when I stumbled across the Forbes channel and saw Davis Caldwell on the screen with the tv host. Sometimes, I forget he’s a billionaire. “So Mr Caldwell, there are rumours that you’re getting married soon? Is it true?” the host asked “Yes it is, I’m getting married to my lovely lizzy” Davis said “Oh wow, how does it feel to not be a bachelor?” the host asked, again. “I’ve never felt some type of way being a bachelor, I’m just happy to be loved by this woman and can’t wait for her and her daughter to move in with us so we can all be one big family” Davis answered. His words were so heartfelt, I never knew he felt this way about us. But regarding the move in, What was he talking about? They’ve barely started making wedding plans and he’s already talking about moving in.
