Bob’s back felt a bit painful.
Once the adrenaline wore off, Bob felt the consequences of being sent flying to a solid cave wall. He actually felt confused as to why he was suffering so much pain. Whenever David was sent flying, Bob noticed that his friend continued to move as if there was no pain at all.
Even when David suffered an injury, he could quickly recover, something that baffled Bob whenever he saw it. This was due to David's current stage in the superhuman evolution tiers. Unfortunately, that was a very complex topic that David couldn't easily explain to Bob.
Was David immune to pain or was he just resistant to it? That was Bob’s question.
Not able to understand how David ignored such high lev
David sighed as he watched Bob go into the room with a light limp and a sad face.Must’ve had a rough trip… poor Bob.Before David could think of a way to help his friend, he heard a voice, similar to his, in his head.David, great creature without fur or scales, heed my call.David raises an eyebrow in confusion when he is called. Looking at the psion stone in his hand, David sees it glow. The psion stone waits for David’s reaction but the tall and powerful-looking individual does not reply. No… it cannot be… your mind is weaker th
Elizabeth raised her weapon until it was at eye level. Slowly, Elizabeth draws the bow until its string is taut. The arrow on the string was ever so slightly shaking. Elizabeth takes a deep breath as she calms herself. Bob was beside her observing the same animal she was hunting. The two of them were hunting an important creature. It was also going to be their dinner. Looking at their target, Elizabeth aims the bow at the adult goros, a boar-like creature except that it had a nifty evolution. Unlike the regular boar, the goros evolved in a way that allowed it to draw a lot of adrenaline from its body when in danger. Due to this,
David and Elizabeth trained for a whole day after securing the supplies needed to kill the Draco.David wanted to see how much Elizabeth has improved, especially since they continued to train every day. While Elizabeth’s growth was a slow process, it was still incredibly quick compared to Earth standards. And unlike Earth standards, Elizabeth and David’s growth didn’t stagnant, a common occurrence for normal people that pushed their bodies to grow.Since David was an evolved human, he had a mental benchmark for how strong he was and how strong the Draco was. No amount of human force could defeat the Draco unless David evolved past his current stage and even then, he wasn’t confident. When night fell, the duo decided to have dinner in
Elizabeth had a nice dream and usually, she would want to sleep more to continue the dream but she was very excited despite only having 2 hours of sleep. Sitting up on her bed, Elizabeth looks at the cave window and sees that it was already morning. She giggles to herself. She felt a bit light especially since she finally released her pent-up emotions yesterday night. And because of that, she couldn’t sleep. She spent the whole night thinking of David and how much cute he is when he confessed. Grah… I’m such a fucking school girl. When did I become so… ahhhh!!! Elizabeth covers her face with her fur pillows.
As darkness overtook the skies, humanity remembered that they were not alone in the vast expanse of space. It was the year 2066 when the first contact happened. It wasn’t an alien or a physical creature but rather a voice from beyond. It took millions of years for humanity to get here so they treated it as such a monumental achievement that they forgot to be cautious. The voice from beyond offered knowledge so advanced it elevated humanity to another level of understanding. But it came at a price. Each machine, tool, and structure built using this knowledge performed at levels that humans could have never discovered, or at
Elizabeth sat on one of the stone chairs outside while preparing the things she needed to bring with her.Steel dagger, check. Stone arrows, check. Bow, check? She looks at David who just finished bathing. His glistening body was a sight to behold especially for Elizabeth, who was a fitness nut. Knowing that David would come with her, Elizabeth lists David off the things she needed to prepare.David, check.Elizabeth returns her attention to her tools. She looks at her cloak and she smiles. When she first woke up, she only had a small fur blanket to cover her body with. The furs she got from hunting alone were missing. Sh
The sound of wings echoed through the forest as the Draco landed on a large open area. It flapped its wings, revealing its glorious and majestic body. Its horns, part of its current evolution, were terrifying to behold. Its body was made purely to destroy and rip apart its targets. It lightly growled to greet its challenger.Across the Draco, there was a large bipedal animal. It roared at the Draco and thumped its chest with its powerful arms.It was a berserker ape. Its giant body was adorned with evolved muscles. Compared to the one that evolved in front of Elizabeth, this berserker ape had the time to get used to its new abilities. It was dangerous and even David would be hard-pressed to defeat one.
The Draco gripped the berserker ape's leg. Using its other free claw, it pushed down the ape's body by applying its enormous weight on the ape's chest. Using the chest as leverage, the Draco intended to rip the ape's leg from its body. The ape squirms as it futilely tries to get away from the Draco. Looking around with frantic eyes, the ape sees a nearby rock. It reaches out for it, an action that the Draco chuckled at.Fear gripped the ape’s heart as it felt the Draco slowly apply strength to its claw. At first, there was only a pulling sensation. The ape continued to thrash.Eventually, the pulling sensation started to become painful. The Draco was grinning the whole time.
