Dante POV
Within every veins of my fibre, anger and rage soared through. The fact that Collins had shot Nadia without no remorse made me loose all sense of logic."Dante, remember you would be punished if you attempt to assault Collins. Remember thw code rule of the hunting group. Yield yourself peacefully, we don't have to do this with force applied." There was no way I was going bro leave Lillith here. I looked from Collins to Nadia's dead body and in that moment, I knew where my heart lies."You know what; screw this organization, screw you and every single one that opted to be part of it." I leaned down and picked Nadia up and stared back at them. "I am out of it." From my peripheral vision, I could still see a struggle between Collins and Steve but at this point I didn't care.Walking past several paths in the forest, my intention was to find a means to get back Nadia. It was weird, but I believed she could still be brought back to life. The awareness of other past packs that we had haunted still stuck in my brain and with hope placed in my heart, I still believe that there could be survivors that could produce an answer.Once I arrived at a certain pack, I heard growls from each sides and with such awareness, I drop Nadia on the floor carefully. Their language were vague to my ears, while in wolf form, but after a stop in the growl, I realized they knew she was one of their kind.In a flash of eyes, they were humans again, approaching me, oozing the aura of confidence within; a thing that intimidate me."You are human. What are you doing with her." One, who looked like their head chief enquired."She died in my hands and I am hoping to know if there is a means to get her back to life." I said in a rather much sad tone. The men look amongst themselves, once again speaking in a silence language. It was almost as though they mind linked amongst themselves."Stay here with the girl, while some of my men and i go consult the pack doctor. We don't want any human in our pack, after our last encounter with the hunters, we consider them an abomination." The chief guard indicated and moved away with most of his soldiers into the city, leaving a dead Nadia with myself and one soldier. After hours of waiting, they all returned with a strange man, cloaked up on diabolic attire. The man was without a doubt their healer. They all approached us, their eyes gazed on Lillith."Stepa aside." The healer indicated, staring at me with slight disdain. They all didn't like me, which wasn't much of a surprise as I was their nightmare. After minutes of staring at Lillith, holding her hands and checking her pulse, the strange man returned back to his people, where they communicated in silence."She can be very much be brought alive. However, this will only happen if you get a certain book." He explained."What sort of book?" I asked with slight hope placed in my heart."It contains the bishap power and it can only be found in one of the sacred packs. Bring this book and use it to get her back to life." After he was done speaking, the healer left the scene, while the rest simply stared at me; a sign that they want me gone.Leaving the pack, I knew only one place the book can be found and it's in my city. The mystical store usually preserve all of this books and I knew it was the best place possible to get it.It was a Herculean task holding Lillith and not getting stressed out. The dashing hopes I had to get her back, fueled my motivation.Arriving back at the city, there wasn't a lot of people on the street and the few that walked past me, believed I was a psychopath. I could hear the whispers, but I could careless about any of it.When I stepped into the store, it was a cozy and almost looked deserted, that wasn't until a men stepped out of the shelves."My goodness. Who is she and who in the world are you?" He asked as he stared down at Lillith's lifeless body in my hands."Please I need help. I was told about a book that contains the bishap power. The lady I hold in my hands is a Werewolf and I wish above everything that she is brought back to life." For a moment he stared at me and then back to Lillith. "I know you think that I may be out of my mind, but I beg you allow her to be whole again."He didn't say a word and retired back to the shelf. After a minute of waiting, he returned once again with the book in his hands. "My name is Zod and I can help you with the spell. You can only cast such dangerous spell in this place and no where else." He informed as he handed over the book to me.I totally understood what he was speaking about. The people believed that magic doesn't exist. And prior to being a Werewolf hunter, I believed the same theory. However, with the number of wolves I had killed, I believe magic was real.I laid Lillith carefully on the table and Zod locked the doors hoping no one would come in such moment. He simply stared down at me with an understanding look, while I flipped through the pages of the book.It was luckily inscribed in English and the book required that I speak these words loud and clear. After hesitating for a moment, I said the words from the books in loud and clear manner, and with hope in my heart, I believed it could work.I felt a sudden sensation as a weird energy flowed through parts of my body, leaving me in ultimate confusion."What is happening?" I asked, holding my hands and as they kept on vibrating. The spell obviously hadn't worked on Lillith but myself.Dante POV I looked up and noticed the man staring down at me in confusion. He rushed over to Lillith's side, who was still unconscious."She has no life." His words fueled my anxiety. Did I do anything wrong? Did I cast the wrong spell? Did he give me the right book? Several questions kept flying through my head. However one main thing reminded constant in my subconscious thoughts; I had possessed strange energy."Listen, we need to do something, I need to help her. It is obvious the Bishap book didn't help." I pleaded to the man, whose name I am yet to discover."I have someone that could perfectly explain the whole situation. I am merely a library keeper, who knows all the books here." Staring at Lillith's lifeless body, I couldn't help but be amazed by her beauty. Even in her subconscious state, she was still very perfect."Lead me to this person you talk about, I beg you." I watched as he rushed over to his counter, pulled up a pen and a paper and scribbled something unto the piec
Nadia POVThe world was quiet for some moment, till my ears began to pick up whispers. I couldn't comprehend what was happening. The whispers increased and after a while, I heard a slight giggle, followed by a groan of frustration.Right before I could open my eyes to comprehend what was happening, a bright light illuminated my face and at that moment, I used my hand as a shield to protect my face. "Happy Birthday!" I smiled, seeing the people that had gathered in my room with several birthday presents. Slowly I got up from the bed as they urged me to snuff out the candle. It was my eighteenth birthday and I had almost forgotten about it. My family were the best and seeing their happy faces light up my day. I cut through the cake and tasted it, feeling it's goodness."So Anabelle, what is your birthday wish?" My beloved sister Rachel asked. She is the life of the house and always had a means to make everyone feel good about themselves."I haven't really thought about anyone." I admit
Dante POVThe world stopped almost the second I laid eyes on the young maiden right before me. There was something about her that pulled me close, but I couldn't lay hands to it. At her left hand, I noticed a dagger and it was apparent she was up to no good. Her pale body, coupled with her long nails gave me the hint that she was a witch."What do you want from me?" I pulled my riffles and aimed it directly at her. She had her hands up in the air, her eyes still holding signs of recognition."What is strange is that I have seen you before and this scene several times." Her statement caught me off guard. I perfectly understood the fact that witches were magical creatures, but I never knew they could speak parables as well."What are you talking about." She was about to explain, when a bright light flashed across the tunnel, almost blinding my vision."Good Job Mr. Taylor, we will take it from here." Adjusting my eyesight to the light, several men had surrounded the tunnel, all with riff
Nadia POVThe entire coven had gathered at the peak of the moon, dancing and singing across the fires of the night. The smile on the face of the queen showed that I would be fully welcomed as one of the witches to the pack. "Tonight, you have shown that you are not only a true witch, but could pose as a warrior as well." The Queen revealed, holding up the head of the witch hunter. "She didn't just bring any head to the coven, she brought to us, the head of a witch hunter. It shows how much bravery she posses and indeed you shall be inducted properly." The next few minutes were spent on rituals and eventually I felt a surge of energy running through my veins, after I had taken a potion given to me by the queen."Welcome to the Coven Anabelle." The rest of the witches all screamed in joy. I could see the smile beaming through my mother's face as she watch the induction go on.Once the ceremony was over, I was left alone heading towards my home, after a hectic day. I dashed to the bedroo
Dante POVI was lost in her eyes, the moment she came out of the woods. I wondered if she was ever stalking me."What are you doing here.. Especially with a dagger in your hands." She dropped her dagger and seemed to be contemplating about something. On a closer look to her demeanor, I noticed she was a little moody; almost in the same manner as someone who was sulking."None of your business." She indicated placing the dagger back into her cloak and attempting to leave."It would have been none of my business initially, but considering I saved your life from the witch hunters, I think I deserve some credits." I revealed with a smile up on my face. She literally rolled her eyes at me, walking casually over to my side with a look of no emotion laced up on her face."Listen to me human, I don't want to have anything to do with your creature and indeed I am truly grateful for your help, which is why I am showing mercy. I had the intention of slitting that throat of yours, the moment I lai
Nadia POVReturning back to the coven, several of the witches gathered at the queen's mansion, while we stepped foot into the building. Murmus and whispers flying around ad they had their eyes set on me.Once we arrived at the chambers, Alina and the rest of the witches left, leaving me alone to confront the queen. I heaved in a breathe and eventually let the chambers open, revealing the queen staring at an art on the wall, with her hands folded behind her. She was all dressed in the royal black robe and she looked effortlessly beautiful."You left the coven with a dagger and despite my order for you not to leave, you still disobeyed me. What does that tells you about your attitude young witch?" She asked making a turn to stare at me, with her usual customary emotionless look."I am sorry. I was engulfed in my emotion. I really needed to take the head of the humans one by one." I admitted honestly."And where did that lead you?" She asked raising an eye brow and chuckling afterwards. S
Nadia POV"I..I.." It was apparent that I had caught her on her tale lies. Her eyes moved around everywhere else but me, possibly searching for something to say."You are stuttering now aren't you? This is because you know I am saying the truth. You lied and thought I would never find out." She sighed for a moment and look up at me with an evil smirk on her face."Of course I did say something about you. We both know that you have a chemistry with the human. It all run through the course of your vein, your hormones cannot resist it and we both know I am not lying." I couldn't contain my fury anymore, in that moment I slapped her across the face, the impact attracting the attention of several witches."You stupid bitch." She launched at me and we both got into serious brawls, pulling at each other's hair. I rolled her towards the floor, trying to get the upper hand, but Imade was pretty much strong on her own accord."Both of you, stop this madness at once!" The queen's voice beckoned
Nadia POVStanding before the several faces of the witches sitting across the table, I knew it would definitely be a long evening."Kindly explain how you have a connection with the humans and how it is related to your mother's death." The queen instructed and just when I would open my mouth to speak, she halted me. "I need you to understand that if you fabricate stories and you are caught on perjury before the council, we would have you executed. So choose your words carefully." I cleared my voice, so I could be audible."Standing before this council, I wish to reveal that the human you kept in the dungeon saved me from the witch hunters, the very night I brought that head home. He was instrumental in the Killing and I won't admit that he may be harmless." Some of the council members murmured amongst themselves."And it means you have a hand in your mother's death don't you?" This question was infuriating in several ways. "I need to let this council understand that the conspiracy a
Nadia P.O.VIt was absolutely magical as each one of the witches dropped to their knees and stayed in the position.“Is that his power?” Alina asked, referring to Levi, whose eyes were already blazing gold.“He is the only one with the mind controlling power” I replied.“Mr. Halway way once told me that he, who has the power to control minds, has the ability to do a lot with it” I couldn't agree less with what she had just said, as it was the obvious truth.Suddenly, the witches stood up and turned around and began walking away. Not a single one dared turn around to look back.“Where do you think they are going?” I had no clue as we both watched them disappear into the woods, before the King and Levi turned their gaze to us.The King was certainly full of a smile as he and Levi approached us. Alina had propelled me to try a new act with our powers combined, and it certainly worked well.“Hours ago, I was beginning to get worried that the chosen ones weren't mentally and physically pre
LEVI POVThe witches were moving aggressively towards our City, each one of them determined to be the first to rain havoc on the land.I was propelled to use my power at first, when suddenly, out of the sky, lighting came striking; a signature magic I had come to know belonged to my father. It was our plan to hold them for as long as we can, as I knew the battle would be too much for Anabelle to handle all alone. The moment the witches laid eyes on us, they smelt authority and I could see the visible worry on their faces as they kept coming. They needed no soothsayer to describe it to them that these were people of reputable character in the city.“Listen, we have fought wars together, and I require you to know that if anything were to happen to me, don't let your guard down and also be faced with my fate, make sure you fight until the end,” Father revealed. I couldn't believe that My father could say such a thing. I turned around to stare at him in the face.“Father, nothing is goi
Nadia POV“Listen to me, the witches are here, and it appears that the Nordic witch could possibly be here too” Anxiety washed all over my body as he made mention of this.“But she was said to attack in three days from now!” Dante replied.“We don't understand why she had changed her mind, but as it stands, we need all hands on deck” The King indicated as he headed out of the throne room, while Levi followed him.Dante and I followed suit, as we didn't know what we were to do at this point. As we walked through the hallway, Alina stepped out of her room and held a sword behind her; she seemed to have been briefed about the battle as well.Levi and Alina were in my sight, and they had the same look of worry as I had within me.“I am uncertain if we are ready for this war. It came unexpectedly!” Alina stated to Levi, who seemed not to pay close attention.“But we have no choice for real, all we need to do is to make sure to hold them back from penetrating the borders” Levi finally repli
Nadia POVGetting up from the floor, I still looked absolutely deep in thought about what I had just witnessed. “The least you can do is say something.” Levi urged on as he stared down at me.“I need to see Dante immediately!” I voiced my thoughts.“Why would you want to see Dante? We are in the middle of training, and you want to be with your boyfriend.” I stared back at Levi with so much disdain, due to the comments he had made regarding Dante.“This is very time-sensitive, Mr. Halway, you need to understand.” I watched on as the wizard stared into space. I wondered what was going through his head and, furthermore, why he had refused to give me an answer at that instant.“I guess destiny has always been meant to happen one day, and I am guessing it is this moment.” Mr. Halway commented with a smile directed in my direction. “It took you long enough to finally see what has been there.” I stared in disbelief as I realized he knew everything, but had chosen to keep mute. After giving
Nadia POV"I love you." I confessed the moment I pulled off from his soft lips. "Dante, I know my statement earlier on had affected you and I need you to understand that I was simply scared for myself. I haven't been in this sort of situation before. The feeling was new." I confessed as Dante listened on."I had loved you from the very first day you saved me from the witches and I would never ever be grateful enough. I would forever place it as an amazing mystery that I fell in love with a human." He placed his hands on my lips, stopping any further words from coming out of my mouth."That is all the confirmation I need from you." Again, he held my chin and lean in to capture my lips in a passionate kiss. This time, I knew I needed not to hold back any longer. I wanted this and he wanted it as well.Standing up from his sitting position, Dante hoisted me up in his hands, showing to me how strong he could be. He placed me gently on the bed and slowly deepened the kiss. His hands slowl
Nadia POVDante and I stared at Levi and Alina who had goofy smiles on their faces. It was really embarrassing, knowing they had caught us in the act, with little or no excuse to evade the situation."Why are you both here?" I asked, feeling slightly embarrassed and moving away from Dante farther than I was in the moment."Well, a little birdie told us about an action happening in the training room and we realized we needed to come see for ourselves." I stared at Dante, who was staring back in disbelief as to who had let them in on the situation."I think I did." We both turned to the doorway and Mr. Halfway stepped in with a smile on his face. "I mean it has been there for a long time and the tension between you both needed to be broken and what a perfect way to break it." He finished off with a smile on his face."We were just soaked up in the moment, nothing personal going on between us." I chipped in and they all laughed out loud. Looking around, I noticed Dante's mood had chang
Nadia POVMorning came faster than I had thought and I still haven't spoken with Dante. Deep down I felt frustrated, knowing we were not on talking terms. It didn't however stopped me from not being with Mr. Halway in the training ground."Great to see you back again Anabelle." Mr. Halway all dressed in his dark robe commented. "Seems something is going on with you, I noticed how grumpy you looked while stepping into the training ground." I sat beside him and gave a fake smile, assuring that I was fine."Alright then, let's start for the day." He pulled a scroll out of his cloak and spread it wide enough to reveal unbelievable diagrams. "I need you to be equipped with the knowledge of your power." He pointed at one of the diagrams. "The world as we know it, is divided into four parts; the witch covens, the human Kingdom, the Werewolf Packs and the vampire kingdoms." Staring at the diagram, I noticed the several territories that he was pointing out and realized the humans were the maj
Nadia POVMy conclusion at the identity of Mr. Halway, simply left me star struck on a man, who has held the Valve Coven for quite some time now."I am guessing you finally know me?" He asked, seeing the reaction on my face."How are you?" He placed a hand on his lips, indicating that I needed to keep quiet."They must not know my identity.." He revealed in a hush tone, looking left and right and eventually drawing closer to meet me. "You see, humans don't have a good history with witches and being a wizard, it would spell doom for myself. I was able to cover up your track and Alina's, when I realized you were witches." It all made sense in that moment; many at times I had always thought about how my true identity would suffice and I would be cast away, but with the concealment, I fully believe it would no longer happen."You need to get some rest Anabelle, tomorrow is going to be a very long day." He stated, getting up to his feet and stretching his entire body. As he left the traini
Nadia POVWords could not describe that moment of raw emotions as we laid back on the bed. His hands all over my body, creating more intensity, I could only crave for more. Instinctively, I pulled his robes off, revealing his chiseled abs that made him simply a friction of a Greek god. He bites across my lips, forcing a moan out of my mouth, while my lower self clings together, squeezing out little juices in the process.I wanted sheer ecstasy, but the fear of what we might become afterwards filled my mind once again, and in that single moment, I mustered all the strength I could, and pushed him off."I am sorry, I can't." I said to him, getting up from the bed and adjusting my clothes back. I attempted to head over to the door, but his voice held me back."Everytime we make out, I realize that you might just be exactly who I have been searching for all these years. I can't explain but it feels so like her; you remind me of Lillth. Anabelle." Deep within, I knew he had a point, but w
