After the man disintegrated, Eurus started to speculate that he was holding no ordinary bracelet. He was skeptical, yet he still decided to wear the bracelet to his left hand.
The Metal Bracelet has an ancient symbol carved onto it, a circular symbol that depicts a snake devouring its own tail. It was strange and definitely new to his eyes. Yet somehow, he feels like he had seen it before, He just could not remember it.
The bracelet was loose, it had a gap in his hand, but it automatically tightened to his hand, to the point that it cannot be removed by force.
Eurus was shocked, he tried to remove it but to no avail. Then, Eurus felt a sting sensation coming from the bracelet, he only felt a sightly pain. Yet, making his head feel dizzy, his vision got hazy, making him unconscious.
Moments later, After regaining his consciousness, he found himself surrounded by three people staring at him, a male and a female twins who seemed to be at the age of thirteen, and a woman with dark hair that seems to be around twenty-five years old, same as Eurus' age.
Still under the shade of the willow tree. He patted his head as he stood up from where he lost his consciousness. "What happened? Can you guys see me?" Eurus asked. "Who are you guys?" Eurus followed up with another question as he scanned their faces, reading their emotions.
"I am Kaya, and this is Cashew and Peanut." Said the woman with dark hair, Kaya, while pointing at the twins with her.
Eurus felt relieved for a moment, He met someone-a group of people, rather in the same situation as his.
"If you intend to come with us, let's go. Let us not wait for the night," she added.
Eurus then stared and observed them, noticing that they seemed to be in a hurry as if they were bothered and looked as if they were avoiding someone.
He surveyed his surroundings with a look of confusion. He rotated in a small circle, looking in every direction, but eventually saw no one.
"Is there someone after you?" Eurus asked.
"Us. After Us." Kaya replied.
"Us?" Eurus replied as he gave Kaya a look of confusion. He was bothered. He became more and more confused. "W-why am I included?" He paused, searching for words.
Kaya then asked Cashew to hand over the Baseball Bat that he is holding to Eurus. Leaving Eurus shocked and confused, He stares at Kaya as he shrugs his shoulder up, giving him a look of bewilderment. "What is this for?"
Then Kaya looked at him as her eyebrows lowered and drawn together, irritated. She approached him then simultaneously took the baseball bat that Eurus was holding.
"To Fend yourself, idiot!" She answered in exasperation as she took the baseball bat.
"Fend me from what?" Eurus expressed as he tilted his head with a look of bewilderment. It didn't make sense to him, their actions were so strange. They seem to be avoiding something.
"We don't have time to answer your questions," Kaya stated. "Cashew, Peanut, Let's go. Luke is waiting." She added.
Cashew, Peanut, and together with Kaya geared themselves as they plan to leave the place. With Cashew holding his combat knife, and Kaya holding an ax as her weapon to wield. Leaving Peanut barehanded, for she still lacks the courage to fend for herself.
Eurus scanned their actions as he was confused by their measures. Eurus again rotated in a small circle looking in every direction, still under the shade of a willow tree. He sees no one, except for the normal people that don't even know their existence.
"Do they see you?" Eurus asked, pointing his finger to the normal people walking along the city street.
Kaya was again irritated. She approached Eurus, grabbing him by his shirt as she gave him a ferocious stare. With an infuriating voice, she straightforwardly answered, "No!" without adding any more words to it, as she felt that there was no point in prolonging her answer, thinking that Eurus would just eventually follow up with another question.
Upon gearing themselves, Kaya decided to leave Eurus behind. And as soon she turned away, she stared at Cashew and Peanut's faces, looking at their emotions. She suddenly had a glimpse of the twins back when she first encountered them, with the same situation as Eurus, having no memories of some sort, alone, and frightened even.
She paused as she felt guilty, then ran her hand over her hair as she let out a long sigh. She again turned around, facing Eurus. Offering the baseball bat to him, "Are you coming with us or not?" She asked with a soft voice.
Eurus was muddled, nor did he even have a single clue to his situation. He was alone, feeling like he needed some company. He looked back at them, feeling awkward but desperate to ask questions. Different emotions have been going on in his mind, Confusion, Anxiety, Fear, But he knew himself that he needed answers, So he had no choice and eventually went along with them.
He paused as he was hesitant at first. Yet at first glance, He already knew that he could trust them.
"I'll come," Eurus responded as he accepted the offer and took the baseball bat from Kaya's hand.
Upon accepting the offer, they immediately hurried themselves to a safer place, to where their friend Luke is waiting.
Moments passed it was just an hour before sunset. They were only a few steps further away from the willow tree. As the sky begins to darken, they started to hear a howling sound not far away from their location. Followed by a growling sound that seemed to be coming from an enraged beast within the area.
It was strange and terrifying. Upon hearing this, Eurus was alarmed. He surveyed around as he walks. He barely looks at the path in front of him as he was looking intently in different directions. Figuring out where the sound came from. "What the hell was that?" He thought to himself.
Agitated, Kaya told the group to hasten themselves, even more, Telling them to minimize the sound of their footsteps as they walk.
"Quickly. This way." Kaya stated as she gestured for them to follow her.
Moments after, As they were moving along the sidewalk, they spotted a shadow-like creature in the middle of the city road, twenty-five meters away from them, having an arm twice longer than its legs, with red glowing eyes and elongated claws as sharp as a knife.
It is dark as a shadow, it feeds on the likes of Eurus, a being not alive, nor dead. it was a tall creature, taller than the average height of a human being-a height of ten feet. It was a real embodiment of evil.
Kaya then spreads her left arm out, palms up, gesturing to them to stop. "Be still," she said in a low voice as if she was whispering.
Luckily, the creature was not facing in their direction. So Kaya was able to act without delay before it notices their presence. "Hide," she said in a low voice, but not that low-it was just enough for Eurus, Cashew, and Peanut to hear her command.
Cashew, Peanut, and together with Kaya immediately positioned themselves at the side of the parked vehicle for them to be unseen by it. The three of them crouched, just enough for them to peek and observe the creature through a window of the parked vehicle. A small white van, but it was enough for them to avoid detection.
Meanwhile, Upon seeing it, Eurus was horrified. It was his first time seeing a shadow-like apparition. He paused as he was in awe. He just stared with his eyes wide open. He was just standing still, with his knees trembling out of fear, unable to move his muscle.
His heartbeat increased as he felt pressure on his mind.
Kaya immediately noticed Eurus being unresponsive. She scanned his emotions. His face was full of expression, looking petrified, confused, and shocked, even. She tried to call his attention, yet he barely hears her as he was still stunned upon seeing it.
He was in a state of mental block. He could not react quickly. So Kaya then grabbed Eurus' right arm, pulling him downwards. "Imbecile, what are you standing there for?" Kaya said in a muffled voice as she was aware that the creature might hear them. Seeing Eurus' face turn more white, she knew he was frightened.
Kaya, then again, pulled Eurus' right arm, pulling him downwards, but by this time, Kaya's pull on his hands was more forceful, enough for Eurus to be snapped from being awestricken.
He promptly took action and hid at the side of the vehicle, crouching. Yet as he moved, he then accidentally dropped the baseball bat onto the concrete floor, making a thud sound that alerted the creature.
The creature seems to be intangible for normal people, nor can they see it. It has the capability of hearing sounds despite being at a distance.
The shadow-like creature reacted upon hearing it, it jerked its head towards their direction and began approaching them, getting nearer and nearer.
Eurus' heartbeat increased as he was frightened by it. He closed his eyes for a moment, He was exhaling and inhaling slowly, trying to calm himself down, but it was not enough to calm his racing heart.
He picked up the baseball bat slowly. Then he adjusted his grip on the baseball bat, holding it both with his hands. Though he knew it himself, he would just instantly freeze without having a chance to defend himself.
As the creature was getting nearer, all of a sudden, a sound interrupted them. A sound of a screeching man from a distance. It immediately changed its attention towards the screeching sound, seemingly attracted to it.
It started to move away from them, while Kaya was just observing the creature through the window of the parked vehicle.
It was fast as a running wolf-as fast as a wolf chasing for its prey.
They waited and waited until the creature is nowhere to be seen.
Eurus felt relieved. Some of his fear vanished away, but not enough to calm himself from terror. He was breathing heavily as if he had run a mile and back.
Kaya promptly stood up from crouching. She seemed to have no fear or apprehension as if she was used to it. "Are you guys okay?" Kaya asked. She scanned their faces, taking in each expression. "Let's go." She added.
Eurus just stared at them blankly, his mind churning to come up with any plausible explanation for what he'd just witnessed. Yes, he lost his memories, but he was sure as hell that it was unnatural to his eyes.
Kaya, Cashew, and Peanut, immediately started to run swiftly without delay to their destination. At first, Eurus paused, but snapped out of it quickly and followed them at the same pace.
Moments later, The sky is already dark as they arrived at their destination, which is a ten-story apartment building. They managed to arrive safely, unscathed.
Upon their arrival, they hurried themselves to the roof deck of the apartment building, Where they found Luke slouching against the railing in the roof deck, scrutinizing down the street using his binoculars.
"Welcome back." Luke greeted them with a grin on his face.
"What took you so long?" Luke asked upon their arrival. Kaya looked over her left shoulder as she pointed at Eurus behind her with her thumb. "We bumped into this guy," Kaya replied. Luke then approached Kaya. He looked at Eurus, then back at her. "Who's him?" He asked. Eurus paused for a moment. He suddenly recalled and realized that he did not introduce himself yet. He then approached, lowered his hand as he opened his palm. "I...uhh... Eurus." He stated, introducing himself. He was confident. "You must be Luke." Luke just scanned his face up and down. He then tapped on his left shoulder, looking at his face while shaking his head as he smiled. "all alright, squiggy then." Luke stated. Eurus' hand was left hanging, slightly awkward for him. Eurus then stared at him blankly for a few seconds. "Squiggy?" he said to himself. Luke gave Eurus an arrogant impression of him, seemingly irritated with his behavior. "Who does he think he is?"
Moments later, as he was sleeping. Eurus found himself dreaming. He dreamt of being in a bottomless pit, shouting and shouting, hoping for someone to save him.Everything was pitched black. He then sees a ray of light just above him. He shouted again, yet no one responded. Then all of a sudden, a silhouette just above him suddenly appeared, seemingly on its knees, staring down at him.He shouted once again, his voice echoed, reaching onto the top. He continued shouting until his voice eventually faded. He then tried to climb his way up, but the stone walls around him were slippery and covered with moss, nearly impossible for him.He glanced back to see the silhouette not moving an inch. He inhaled and exhaled deeply, then he gathered up his courage and once again shouted for help. Then something had snapped, his surroundings started to shake. He glimpsed back to see the silhouette above him getting nearer and nearer towards him.Suddenly som
They were already meters away from Kaya and the others. The apartment building can even barely be seen from their distance. As they keep on moving, Eurus kept looking around their surroundings, looking left, then right. Surrounded by different buildings. Eurus was just standing still, stunned, unable to react, unable to help him at least. It was his first time seeing the hideous-looking beast up close, just staring at them with his eyes widely open. He hasn't moved his weapon a bit, still holding it, both with his hands and with every inch of his body, trembling, and devoured by fear. But at the last second, Eurus was able to gather up his courage. Despite the outcry of exhaustion from his body, his feet started charging forward towards them. As if someone pushed him from behind. He swung the baseball bat, hitting the ghoul on its head. And upon impact, the ghoul suddenly flinched. It reacted irritably. It extended its left arm, and swung, hitting Eurus' left feet, he flew into the air for a moment-maybe four feet above the ground and slightly pushed him away from their distance. Eurus fell onto the ground sideways. He landed on his head, hitting his head on the ground. For a moment, his visio
