Shopping Spree

The day following to her school party day, Vivian and her cousins went to the museum and some fun places, Joshua and Fifi left before Vivy and Mansi.

They went to a boutique shop to get some clothes for the final year party. Vivian caught sight of a glittering silver gown that hung inside a glass wardrobe.

"Wow. Mansi, check this out" she turned over to Mansi with the dress in her front , showcasing its beauty. "I like it, and it will look nice on me" said Vivian. she remembered something and the smile on her face faltered.

"How did I forget my daddy, he will never approve of this dress, it is too transparent"

Mansi sighed, looking at her dramatic cousin and friend. "You like the dress, then go for it and what if you add something to it, like a stirrup tight that corresponds with your skin tone" Mansi suggested. Looking at the dress, it will definitely look good on Vivian but the transparent flay style below doesn't look decent.

"I really want this Mansi and I'm gonna cry if I don't get it or perhaps won't even attend to it" complained Vivian, examining the cloth like it would be the last time she will get to see it.

"Never!" Mansi was quick to interject "how do I get to see your dreamy crush you talked about and I want to know how cute or handsome he looks that made him to embarrass my girl" she snapped.

Vivian squeezed her face and sighed. She told her about the whole situation, how she liked and badly wanted to be in a relationship with Romeo in the afternoon, when they sat in the jungle rider. She didn't expect her to react in this way not like she made a fuss but some people would have gone straight trying to shout at her for approaching a guy or make jest of her but here stood her cousin, wanting to defend her.

"What do you say..should I go with the cloth or get something else?" Vivian asked her cousin who appeared to be angry. Is it because of the Romeo thingy? Vivian asked in her mind.

"For sure. this or nothing" replied Mansi.

"On one condition"

"What condition?" Mansi hoped she wouldn't come up with her usually weird demands.

"You will get what I will wear inside" stated Vivian.

Mansi smiled "I will, as long you don't miss it"

And with that the went to the counter, paid for the dress and went home.

In an estate not too far away, three boys were sitting one a big bed, one was sitting upright and the other two laid on it. Romeo was one of them. They chuckled and laughed over something Romeo said.

"She looked nothing less than a moron" the first boy commented on the picture on his phone.

"I'm sure she is still wondering what P4N means, girl will damage her brain" the second one said.

Romeo scoffed, he had wanted to annoy the girl the other day in the exam hall but he came back and did not see her. He knew very well that the girl had a thing for him but he doesn't, and it isn't bad to fake his feelings right? He thought.

Evening approached faster in Mr. Denis house. They children had already gone to bed after their dinner, anticipating the graduation ceremony, especially Vivian who couldn't sleep and was rolling on the bed. She picked her phone and decided to chat with Kiki but she wasn't online, so she gave up and kept the phone back on her drawer. Why couldn't she sleep? Is it because of the party? Those were the questions running through her mind. Suddenly her phone vibrated on the drawer, she wondered who could be dropping her a message by this time, sitting upright, she took the phone and swiped up. Her eyes widened in shock, what!

He had never texted her, this is the first time she was receiving that kind of attention from him and to think that he refused giving her his number some weeks ago. Vivian didn't know what she would do, she didn't know if she should reply or act like she didn't see the message, but then she dreamt of this moment and it's happening and she can't just let it slip from her hands.

She typed in some words and sent it. He had invited her to pair with him during the red carpet tomorrow and she was already imagining how they will appear like a couple. Yes! A dream come true. Vivian beamed in happiness.

Finally she can now sleep in peace. She rolled over and pushed the duvet to cover her completely. In a flash, she dozed off.

The next morning was like every other morning. The sun gave away its shine gracing the whole city with a very bright day, people walking around enjoying the sunlight, some jugging on the road, some ready for the day except for one person who was sleeping like an earth goddess on the Queen size bed.

Kiki barged into the room and slammed the door with a loud sound, making the girl on the bed to jump down with fear.

"For real, you are still sleeping, have you forgotten what today is" Kiki screamed making sure the sleepyhead Infront of her was hearing every single word.

Vivian just glared at her and sat on her bed, she softly rubbed her eyes to adjust well to the penetrating sunlight. "I haven't, Kiki" she yawned feeling the urge to go back to bed and sleep like there's no tomorrow "was just tired from yesterday shopping and all"

"Well, that is not an excuse and you are still sitting on the bed!"Kiki thundered. Vivian rolled her eyes like she doesn't care but she remembered something immediately.

"What the hell!" She jerked from the bed and rushed to the bathroom

"Kiki, unbox my cloth, it's in the last drawer and bring out my undies too" shouted Vivian from the bathroom, she was standing half inside the room and half inside the bathroom with the door in-between "also. if daddy comes here to fetch me, tell him I'm going on my own gosh" with that she banged the bathroom door and proceeded in having her bath.

Kiki sighed looking so confused. One minute she was lazying around the other minute she was in a rush. What kind of a dramatic friend does she have? Kiki asked herself.

After some minutes, the duo were prepared and went downstairs. Kiki was dressed in an overall black flay gown, her brown hair was styled and cascaded down her shoulder. She paired the cloth with a matching heel. She appeared to be so gorgeous than she had ever been.

Same with Vivian who packed her black hair in a tight bun, and styled her baby hair to give her a perfect look. Her daddy and cousins were dazed at the lovely sights before them.

"Sister Vivy, you look beautiful" Fifi said from where she was sitting, munching on an Apple

"Wow, this is just wow" complimented Mansi who was also ready to join the duo. "I'm sure these boys are gonna die" she said in a whisper. Vivian sent her a glare to hush her.

"You two look amazing" her daddy praised

"Thanks dad" Vivian replied

"You wouldn't want us to be late" he extended his hand for her to take. "shall we?"

The smile on her face faltered how does she explain to her father that she is going to the red carpet with a boy?

"Ummm, don't bother yourself dad, I think you should actually have the day for yourself and rest and besides I have Kiki and Mansi with me, so it's nothing to worry about" stated Vivian with confidence, turning to Kiki to support her and her lies.

Kiki who appeared to be confused nodded her head in accordance to what Vivian said.

Mr. Denis smiled and shook his head vigorously "Vivy, you worry a lot. I want to be there with you and cheer for you, it's a once in a lifetime party, and I already called off my appointments for today"

That moment Vivian knew she was done for real. The only time she has the opportunity to finally be with her crush, her whole family were following like a housefly. She sighed and said

"If you insist dad, let's be on our way" and with that they all left the house in Mr. Denis' car.

In a hall filled with different designs, glitters and ribbons, the final year students of Knowles University walked around, some walking in duos or more than. They all shimmered in their dresses and accessories that added to the contentment of the party. They music played and made the party more lively.

Three boys walked into the hall dressed in a channel suite, they walked in a steady stride, not minding the stares and murmurs of the people around, It felt like the music had stopped playing but it didn't, the vast majority of people there stopped what they were doing and focused on the three prince that walked in like they held a majestic title. Romeo who walked in the middle looked through the crowd, his hair combed to the side to cover his side front head, his upper buttons were left unbuttoned. He had his hands in his pocket as he walked, a careful step by step.

The crowd didn't seem to continue what they were as they seemed too focused, one shouted

"I love you, Romeo" Romeo acted like he didn't hear it, his face expressionless.

"Gosh, why are they so hot" another girl said

"I know, I wonder who he will take with to the red carpet" the second girl said sadly, sad that Romeo has never looked their way, not like he had done so with any girl in Knowles.

Since their day one in Knowles University, Romeo was known for his calm and reserved attitude, he doesn't talk much. he will rather do it than tell you how he will do it. Coupled with his handsome face and built body, more reason many of the Knowles girls wanted and tried as much to be in his arm or at least his list of people to date.

The trio were taken to their reserved round table with four seats. They already know who the fourth seat belonged to. they were served a red wine just like other students.

"She hasn't arrived yet" David the first one said after looking around the hall.

"Little thing might still be in a dazed state" said Max, the quietest but the nastiest amongst the trio.

"Who wouldn't" David added to what his friend said.

Shortly,Mr. Denis drove inside the parking lot and screeched, he unfastened his seating belt. Vivian also did the same. She really didn't want her dad to see her with a boy and she couldn't even talk about it. Vivian turned to Mansi, Fifi and Kiki at the back seat "wait for me outside, I need to talk to my dad" they got down from the car and went to stand under a shade, waiting for her.

"What happened Vivy, why are you squeezing your face, it is your day and-"

"Not that dad" she touched her brows not knowing how to start "umm, is just that, umm, do-"

"You know you are free to tell me anything, just say it. I'm your father" Mr. Denis interrupted her throbbing heart.

That was like the little push she needed and the next word came like a waterfall "Dad, a boy in my school asked me to walk on the red carpet with him"
