Chapter Thirty Six

Axel PoV

“You called for me, sir?” Kyle said the moment he came up to where I stood at the edge of the forest.

“I did,” I replied, smiling gently, “it’s a good evening for a walk through nature, isn’t it?”

“It definitely is, sir,” Kyle replied and followed my lead as we walked down trail in the forest.

I had a feeling things were about to get messy with the interrogation. I was about to carry some ambitious decisions in order to eliminate my enemies but I needed to be tact about it. Even as the Alpha, I was still accountable to my pack and can’t make arbitrary decisions, especially in a delicate time like this.

Besides, most of the guard are loyal to Klaus since he was their commander for a very long time. If I wanted things to get done properly, I needed to have my own man that I can trust to carry out my orders, someone that has no reason to protect Klaus, someone like Kyle.

“You know I’ve always liked you,” I said to Kyle.

“I know you do, sir,” he promptly replied.

“Drop the sir,”
