Lisa Pov
This wasn’t the first time I’ll have a dream about my family. In fact, I dreamed about them every time I slept. As always, my mother’s voice was soft and teasing, and her melodious words brought happiness to my face. I had inherited her thick, curly hair, and soft blue eyes
“Lisa” she called, her voice filled with laughter, “stop running so hard. You’ll fall.”
I fell a lot. But that never stopped me from running. The rush of the wind against my round face urged me to run faster. The bright, radiant daffodil flowers danced in the wind, as though they were cheering for me. I was free. I was with my mother. I was loved. I was happy.
“Leave her,” Father’s bubbly laughter urged me to run faster, “she’s going to grow to become a strong and important wolf. She might as well start now.”
Don’t encourage her, Mother playfully slapped her husband’s arm, and they both crashed into a romantic brawl. The love they had for each other was just as intense as the love they had for me. I could nLisa have wished for a better family; and for a brief moment, I was the happiest kid on the planet.
But all that changed with the sound of his voice.
“How dare you sleep by this time of the day?” he thundered.
My eyes flew open and I was back in my small, dingy room. The cold glare on his face reminded me that I had been dreaming. I was an orphan, and I was definitely not happy. His palms were balled into tight fists and I feared he would hit me.
“Who’s going to prepare breakfast, snotty fool?”
Thankfully, he didn’t hit me, but the anger on his face was just as terrifying.
“How dare you sleep by this time of the day, lazy fool? Get off your lazy ass and get to work. Now!”
I watched Axel storm out of my dreary room before I pulled my frail, malnourished body out of the bed. Tears draped down my plump, bubbly cheeks as I remembered my dream and clung tightly to the happy memory. I desperately wished my parents were alive. It’s been seven years since a rogue attack claimed their life, but it felt as though it was yesterday. The pain and hurt were fresh, and I was thrust into mourning all over again.
“Mom! Dad!” I whispered, “I miss you. I miss you so much.”
“You better get your lazy ass off that bed before I pounce on you,” Axel’s fiery voice startled me, and I immediately jumped off my bed.
I cleaned off my tears and rapidly made my bed before I stepped out of the room. My entire body ached with each step I took but I dare not complain, or else I’ll be tortured to the brink of death. I was clearly overworked. My chores start very early in the morning at the first cock’s crow, and I manage to finish them late into the night before catching a few hours of sleep and repeating the entire routine the next day. It was a miserable life, but I had no choice. Oddly, despite the terror I went through in Axel’s household, I was grateful he had taken me in. Not many wolves would readily take in an omega.
I dashed to the kitchen, careful to avoid Axel and his family. I discovered early that staying out of sight helped me avoid the family’s wrath. Breakfast was eggs and bacon, garnished with dry steak. I made sure I cooked the meal to perfection, anything less would result in a ferocious beating that would leave me gasping for breath. The aroma of the food was scintillating, and I was quite certain it would taste just as good. Unfortunately, I would not share in the meal. I only got to eat once a day. Eva, Axel’s wife, said it was a waste of food to feed an omega three times a day, so I only get to eat dinner. I was malnourished and maltreated, resulting in a bony, frail body.
I hastily set the breakfast on the table before I retired back to the kitchen to begin my chores, starting with the dishes. I was in the middle of cleaning the dishes when luck shined on me. I found leftover bacon from last night and stuck it in my tunic to eat later.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” Dante’s voice startled me, making me drop the half-eaten bacon on the tiled kitchen floor, “Dad’s going to kill you if he finds you stealing food.”
“Please don’t tell him” I stuttered, fear etched clearly on my face,
Dante laughed. It was a maniacal, villainous laughter that deepened my resentment for him.
“Well,” he chuckled and picked up the bacon I dropped, “I’m not a monster like my father, Lisa” he brushed my part, puckered lips with his thumb.
Dante was right. He was not a monster like Axel, he was worse, He was a demon. I could handle Axel’s anger and torture, but Dante’s lascivious attitude toward me was almost unbearable. He treated me like I was a sexual object he could play with any time he wished, and I hated him for it.
“It’s understandable that you would steal food since Mother only allows you to eat once a day,” his hand drifted down to the developing mounds on my chest, “how about you keep this bacon, and eat it later when you’re hungry.”
He stuck the bacon in my tunic and began to smooch my perky breast through my clothes.
Anger, fear, repulsion, and hatred all boiled within me at the same time, and I made to push him away.
“Don’t be a killjoy, Lisa” he brushed off my feeble attempts to escape his grip, “Let’s have some fun.”
I pushed harder, and he snapped at me, “You are a slave, Lisa my slave. Your life and body belong to me and I shall use them as I wish unless you want my father to know you’re stealing food.”
“Please,” I begged, “let me go.”
Lisa Pov“Of course,” Dante scoffed, squeezing my soft ass through my cloth before shoving me away. Dad's expecting guests, and he wants you to wear a nice dress. The guests are quite important, and he doesn’t want you to ruin it for him. No one needs to see you dressed in rags, understand?”I nodded meekly. Axel was trying to hide the fact that I was mistreated by the rest of the pack. It wouldn’t speak well of his reputation if they found that he was abusing an orphan.“Good,” Dante smirked and walked towards the door, “we’ll pick up where we left off after the guests have left. We can have our fun later, Slave.”Dante laughed as he exited the kitchen while I broke down in tears. If only my parents were alive, I wouldn’t suffer this abuse and humiliation. I wouldn’t be a plaything for some spoilt bastard, or a punching bag for a tyrant alpha. But I was an orphan, worse, I was an Omega. I was at the mercy of Axel and his family. They’d taken me in and promised to treat me as their ch
Lisa Pov“That cunning bitch,”I heard him before I saw him, and he was terribly angry. I tried to run, but Axel angrily pulled my silver collar, smashing me against the floor.“What did you hear?” he yelled.“Nothing,” I whimpered, writhing in pain while struggling to escape his vicious grip.“You lying bitch,” he yelled and hit me in the face.Axel might look old and haggard, but he was an alpha, a powerful alpha; and this alpha was hitting me with all his might. I probably would have been able to withstand his vicious blows if my wolf wasn’t weakened with the silver collar wrapped around my neck, but I was weaker than a human and vulnerable to his attacks.“What did you hear, bloody eavesdropper?” he bellowed again, louder than the last time.“Nothing, please,” I pleaded.“Time to visit the dungeon,” he snarled and began to drag me against the cold, hard floor. I tried to fight back, but he was too strong.I feared the dungeon. It was supposed to cage feral wolves but had turned in
Klaus’s PoV“You realize we did the right thing, right?” Aurora mused as she set the table.“We did the right thing,” I answered absentmindedly while I paced the room.“So you don’t have to worry, cos doing the right thing is the only thing that matters.”“Now you’re repeating my words,” she chuckled and stopped my nervous pacing.Aurora wrapped her hands around me, pressing her soft, perky breast against my chest. Her exposed white pair of teeth was just as perfect as her round, plump face.“Look at me,” she whispered, gazing right into my eyes. Her sensual scent filled my nostril and I wrapped my hands around her perky ass, slightly squeezing them while she smiled at me.“We did the right thing,” she repeated.“I know,” I smiled back, “I just…”“Don’t overthink it,” Klaus, she shushed me with a soft kiss on my lips, “Ever is safe. That’s all that matters. Besides, she’s on a journey to reclaim her throne and fulfill her prophecy. She’s the chosen one, that would liberate the Lycans
Maximo PoVI’ve gone by many names. Some call me the Grand Alpha. Some call me the Nemesis. Some call me the Witch-hunter, but the name that stuck to my head was the name my father called me, Murderer.Yes, I’m a murderer, and my first victim was my mother. It really was no surprise that my father hated me, I did kill his beloved wife after all. Although it wasn’t my fault, but who cares whose fault it is, all that mattered was that I did it. I’m a murderer that shall never ascend to the throne of my parents, the outcast, that shall never be a part of a pack, exiled into loneliness. But all that would soon change. I spent the last five years of my life plotting my return to glory, and everything is going according to plan; all except one.Axel was supposed to keep my nemesis under lock and key. His job was to keep her away from her destiny, and force her to live a miserable life until she succumbed to the cold hands of death. Instead, my servant, to whom I had entrusted the most impor
Klaus PoV“Find her,” Maximo’s order resonated around the cave,“I definitely will,” Axel replied, panic and fear dripping from his voice.“Then what are you waiting for?” he barked, and we stumbled out of the cave.I’d never seen anyone with such power that Maximo wielded. Besides the curse that made him powerful, the powerful aura that hung around him was unlike anything I’d ever experienced. I was both fearful and in awe at the same time. I totally understood why Axel was scared. I was scared too. The enormity of Maximo’s power could fry the brain in our skulls if he wished it. He could kill us in a thousand ways, and we would never stand a chance. Fighting him was not an option, which meant we only had one choice; Find Lisa.“Are you okay, Alpha?” I asked.Axel had been unusually silent since we left the cave. I’d expected him to take the lead and morph into a wolf so we can race back home, instead, he walked slowly through the woods, seemingly oblivious to everyone around him.“A
Lisa PoVEven though Nessa has been a part of me since I was born, she'd only manifested recently – no thanks to Axel – and it felt weird to share my body with an entirely new being. For the longest time, I'd always felt alone, now that I have a companion, it took a while to adjust to the new development. I didn't even know how it worked. Was she living inside of me? I often wondered. And if that's the case, how can a wolf fit inside me?"I fit quite well," Nessa's voice startled me."Stop doing that," I groaned."Do what?" Nessa asked innocently."You know, suddenly talking into my head. It's creepy.""I'll make sure to announce myself before I speak next time," Nessa laughed. For some weird reason, Nessa loved to tease me. It seemed like I was her personal source of entertainment."You know what I mean," I rolled my eyes."Fine, I understand. I'm sorry. You've been moody, and I wanted to cheer you up.""I'm fine," I replied. In reality, I was far from being fine. I'd dreamed of my f
Axel PoVNo matter how much I played it over in my head, I still couldn't figure out how the girl escaped. I've always been careful. I had even gone the extra mile of acquiring a silver collar, which was extremely scarce and expensive. I always ensured the silver collar stayed on her neck, then how could she possibly escape? There was only one explanation."Someone helped her escape," I fumed as anger boiled within me, “and I was going to find this person.”I didn't work so hard to become Alpha only to have an errant wolf in my pack undermine my authority. If they could have the audacity to go behind my back to release the slave, then what was next? Mutiny? Challenging me? Or desertion? The more I thought about it, the angrier I became. A few weeks ago, I could have sworn that all the wolves in my pack feared and respected me so much that they would happily lay down their lives for me. Now, things have changed, and that only meant one thing."They need to fear me," I growled.Fear was
Klaus PoVMy father used to say that fear makes people do crazy things. I didn't really understand what he meant until I saw Axel's reaction to Maximo's threat. Axel began to get irrational and paranoid. He insisted on being called the Alpha and often held meetings with the entire pack in the town square, and all he did was threaten them. Just like he was doing now."And if any of you think you could betray me and walk free, then you don't know who I am," Axel continued his speech, which was just a remake of the speech he gave the previous week, and the week before that. "I am the Alpha of the pack, and no one would threaten my position. It's been three weeks since one of you helped Lisa escape, and I'm yet to find this traitor."The pack listened in silence, their faces filled with varying expressions of fear and confusion. This was the part where Axel would gaze into everyone's eyes as if he could see the truth lurking right beneath their eyeballs."I promise you all," he continued,
