Chapter 96

Mia’s POV

Having scrubbed and cleaned the rest rooms on the floors assigned to me, I returned to my duty post at the kitchen strained as hell.

My body ached so badly that I could barely walk straight.As soon as I got to the counter where the other servers I work with were tidying up, I sat on a chair by the fridge and groaned.

“I told you you wouldn’t survive a week here even though you survived getting fired by the president” Amanda carefully placed a mug she had just cleaned inside the cabinet for plates and cups.

“Are you alright? We heard what happened” Elsie paused with a plate in her hand to observe my worn out body.

“I’m fine” I said in a ragged voice.

“You should drink some water” Elsie offered.

“I’ll prefer food. I haven’t eaten since morning” I mumbled.

I shut my eyes and grit my teeth every now and then to fight the pain that was killing my back.

“Unfortunately we have cleaned up and everything has been taken to the freezer in there” Amanda nudged at the main kitchen wher
