Eric’s POV

The conference room buzzed with words like ‘Kirk’ and ‘Smith Larson’. It was so bad that my head began to ache.

Kirk is a company owned by some thug turned wanna-be fashion brand. And out of all the fashion brands in the US, Kirk chose my company to be its core rival. If he wasn’t some desperate man with a bad reputation, maybe I would have found that to be an honor, but what business do I have with a guy who does and gets everything he wants the wrong and illegal way?

Just last week, he spread fake rumors of me being in a relationship, good thing no one figured who Pollen really is else it would have been messier than it got. Now he is giving Smith Larson an impossible offer just so he can lay his hands on a contract worth billions of dollars. I have tried to look away, but the money involved and the fact that Larson is a good man who didn’t deserve to waste such an amount of money is making it hard to overlook.

It’s more unsettling to know that Kirk knows who Pollen is,
