CHAPTER SEVENTY-SEVEN (The Plot)

I couldn't lift a finger after Catherine left, she struck my heart with words that stick. Like an unfortunate deer, struck by a steel spear, I crumbled on my table. Her words keep resounding in my head and for a second, I doubted my love for Helen.

I managed to get up from my seat after a while, pick up my phone, and headed sluggishly like a drunk giant supported by a mosquito limp outside. When I reached the reception, the looks on my worker's faces made me realize that I was truly out of place. I saw Mr. Philip's chaotic face too as he rushed toward me. He must have sensed my dilemma and offered to help.

Seems untrue and hard to believe that a giant man, like me, would be so frustrated by a woman's words.

“Are you alright, sir?” He asked after he had taken his place beside me. I tried to get a grip on myself and acted normal. I ignored his question and continued my journey. He twitched and hurriedly joined me.
