Mia’s Pov

The following morning, I woke up with a renewed sense of purpose. The sunlight filtered through the trees, casting dappled shadows across the forest floor. I stretched, feeling the ache in my muscles from yesterday’s exertions, but the soreness was a welcome reminder of progress.

Sylvia was already up, sitting cross-legged on a fallen log, her eyes closed in meditation. I watched her for a moment, admiring her serene focus. She had always been a pillar of strength and wisdom, guiding me through the tumultuous journey of mastering my magic. I approached quietly, not wanting to disturb her.

“You’re up early,” she said without opening her eyes, a small smile playing on her lips.

I laughed softly. “Couldn’t sleep. Too much on my mind, I guess.”

She opened her eyes and stretched, standing up. “That’s a good sign. It means you’re eager to learn. Ready for another round?”
