Days later…

Shadow moved stealthily on the battleship for a few days and when she stepped off the ship and onto the docks of Country C, she could feel the heat of the war, brazing her skin. The sunlight burned her skin and the tight sensation that filled her chest at the sight of the port was astonishing.

The harbor was full of life, more people than Shadow had ever seen moving about the sturdy piers, chattering loudly and shouting amongst one another in one official language of the novel.

However, their clothes varied from man to man to indicate their different backgrounds.

Shadow stared into the distance while the rest of her people unloaded all the equipment that they brought. The possibility that the enemies were nearby was higher but no one cared enough to look around.

That was because, opposite her battleship stood a ship with a figurehead that resembled some dolphin or whatever, rearing and throwing its head back. And some other ships that she couldn’t care about.
