Shadow stared for far too long at him as if time had frozen.

Lily could only look alternated at him and Shadow, couldn’t find the right time to interject, and didn’t dare to do so afterward.

Albert pressed his lips hard against his teeth, fist clenched tighter to the point it was trembling aggressively. Fear engulfed him.

“Aha!” A first laughter resonated. “Ahahahahahahahaha. Ahahahahahaha.” The uncontrolled laughter kept on coming from the small lady. She recoiled her body while pressing her hand over her stomach.

“Sis… ter…” Lily extended her hand toward Shadow, weirded by the sudden burst, but Albert stopped her and shook his head. Lily had no choice but to withdraw.

Something was clearly wrong but she didn’t know what it was. Her reaction was positively random, it was hard for her to read her.

Albert had already overseen this reaction somehow. He was with Shadow for a few years. Naturally, a few of her responses were already in his pocket.
