The next morning, Shadow woke up with the loudest grunt and the sudden rise from the comfortable lie. On top of that, she was woken up by her itching and aching body, that horrible sensation that demanded attention.

Her throat also felt so dry like she swallowed sand. But then, she saw the doorknob slowly twisting open from outside before Samuel’s sleepy head appeared in between the crack of the door.

“My Lord, have you woken up?”

Shadow waved her hand lazily as she went, “as you can see.”

“I can see that.” Samuel then disappeared before the sound of a door clicked shut.

Shadow ignored his rude action as she was aware that Samuel had probably notified the maids to help her get ready.<
