Chapter four

Reece POV 

"Good morning Mr.Walker." Claudia greeted me as I walked into my office and she handed me my schedule for the day.

She's the longest personal assistant I've kept.

I admired her devotion to work and that she didn't try to get in my bed.

All my previous PA's always made a move on me, and that's why I kept on firing them. 

They would get attached to me once I dance to their tune. I hate it. Its bad for business.

"Miss Vivian just left not too long sir."

Claudia nervously announced.

I stopped in my tracts as my eyes darted to her. 

"Don't allow her inside my office...ever." I strictly warn as I took my seat and examined my schedule.

"Yes sir." Claudia nodded as she continued, 

"You're supposed to attend a meeting with the Russian investors. The one with Lucius."

I could see a tint of blush on her cheek at the mention of Lucius.

I am going to lose my PA soon, but I won't  need to fire her once she's heartbroken by Lucius.

She'll resign herself.

She knows better than to fall for my brother's charm.

Not long after mentioning his name, Lucius walked in confidently smirking at Claudia.

Speak of the devil and he appears.

I growl intensely at him as I avert my eyes away from Lucius, unable to watch any drama that was going to happen next.

"Brother, how's Owen?" He asks comfortably.

"She's fine. Let's head to the meeting, I don't want to be late." I walked out carrying my tablet and file giving them the privacy they want.

Maybe Claudia could change Lucius crazy lifestyle.

"Sir, where would you love to go to?" Tobias asked.

Within the three years he's worked for me, he's made a lot of mistakes and annoyed the hell out of me, but I've never relieved him off his duty.

He's probably figured out a lot about over the years, but I know so little about him. He only let me in on things he wants me to know.

I offered once to pay for his tution for college buh he rejected it , he said he loved working for me.

"The muffin shop we saw down street." I replied, checking my messages and social media handles.

On instagram, I currently have 183million followers and I am following 20k. Its just a few of my business associates and few friends.

I tried living a secretive life as much as possible. As hard as that sound, and I definitely didn't like people being aware of my daily moves like my siblings; so I only associate with few celebrities. 

After my wife's death, leaving me with my sunshine, Owen, I broke down completely and lost a few shares but I regained them after some months. 

She didnt really die because I didn't see her corpse, but everyone believes so. And I hired tons of private  investigators which couldnt crack the case. It was like she vanished from earth, or she didnt want to be seen thereby covering her tracks pretty well. 

I wish i could rewind time and made up for all my mistakes, how i treated her, it hurts to think about it.

When my little angel started calling me dad, I cried all day. She is the replica of Kelly, her mother, so I named her Owen Kelly Walker. A lot of nannies have come and gone, but she's a prankster just like her mum, making fun of everything she touches or sees.

I suspected Lucius might make her worse than she was, so once I restricted the days she could see him. I couldn't sit and watch Owen turn to a replica of Lucius. One Lucius is enough in my life.

"We are here sir." Tobias informed me.

"Enough with the formalities Tobias, if we are together just call me Reece."

"Okay sir- I mean,...Reece." he replies.

"I checked the files on Anivard university, they have a very well equipped and staffed art courses. I am not taking no for an answer this time. Check it out and tell me what you think. Its the least i can do " I insist. Tobias is a good kid. He is an orphan and his grandma takes care of him and his sister. 

When I placed an advert for a driver, I wasnt expecting to take a nineteen year old kid but after hearing his struggle, i didnt think twice. 

"Sir- I mean Reece. Its not that i dont want to go to college. The mere thought of it gives me bubbling sensations. But i cant just leave meema and my sis at home alone. I need to be close to them to know shes doing well." He explains, 

"I see you as family but you dont see me that way"

"Of course not sir. I appreciate every single thing you have done for me and.."

"Then i believe you can trust me to help you look after your family?" I cut him off

"Yes sir" he says defeatedly 

"Now thats settled. Next month prepare your things and look around for a new driver for me. Will you?"

"Yes sir. Thank you very much" 

I smile noticing a tear drop from his eyes. I loosen my tie looking over at the muffin shop

"Ask the waiter what flavor they have or call the waiter over and leave your microphone on." I instructed and he nodded, leaving the car. Not to sound corky but when the waiters come over, i tend to put a smile on their face. The feeling is soothing.

I could hear him talking to someone, maybe the waiter as I listened to their conversation. It seemed that the lady does not want to come to the car.

"Can't Tobias just ask for the muffin?" I sigh in frustration.

Tobias must be playing one of his pranks.

H"could have a fat belly, bald head, and be an old man looking for people to service him."

What!!? Is she referring to me?

I then received a call from Tobias.

"Sir, she wants to speak to you in person "

"Give her the phone."

What I heard next blew me over the top. I didn't know who this waitress thought she was. I opened the car heading to Tobias.

"Where the fuck is that waitress?" I asked furious.

Tobias was on the verge of laughing and explained that she wasn't the waitress. He pointed in her direction. Seemed she want to board a bus. I pulled her forcefully, my anger getting the best of me.

No one has ever insulted me and got off scot-free. 

She examined me with lust. ,

"Fucking whore.", my mind reads immediately.

"When you're done checking me out let me know " I smirk.

She had a good body and I loved her complexion, but she really downgraded me.

She even tried hitting me with the motive of giving me pain, but I wasn't feeling anything, and she ranted on embracing nature.

When she tried calling someone, I immediately yanked the phone from her hands. The one thing I didn't expect was it ending up at the road.  

Well, we are beside the road.

After a truck went over it she ran to retrieve it, but stood there.

Was she waiting for time to rewind or what?

Then I noticed a bus coming her way and I dragged her out the road.

That deserves a thank you, right?

Instead she decided to insult me and shove my shades from my face. I felt hurt maybe because someone special bought it for her- her husband or boyfriend. I quickly covered my feelings up with a frown.

"If you hadn't tried to act smart, your phone would still be in one piece. " I retorted, I had totally forgotten she removed my shades.

"In one piece? The moment you talked to me, all my peace was shattered young man. Why cant a girl just have a day without drama" she pokes my chest

"I--" i stutter as i recall how kelly and I argured. I was very possesive. I know possesiveness was hot to some girls but mine was toxic and it drove Kelly mad

My shades was my protection against the public from recognizing me.

"Oh my, that's Reece." The crowd started taking pictures.

I immediately pulled her close and covered her body with my jacket, bending my face. I entered my Lykan hyper sport as Tobias zoomed off. I would have to deal with Tobias later. 

Then she asks a shocking question.

"Who are you?"

What! She does't know me?- Reece Walker.
