Thank you all for reading!
My mind was reeling with this information. “She really could have invaded every pack and kill us all!” “Von isn’t immortal yet…” Silas looked more paler than usual, if possible. “I think I will have to go on that date…” “THE FUCK YOU ARE!” Damian walked forward and slammed his fist on my desk. A little piece of wood flew off and hit the wall. My eyes followed it as I wasn’t as annoyed with his action as I probably should have been. “Do you have another suggestion?” I asked calmly. “We attack the pack!” “If Astra is in Axel, there isn’t any way to do that. Plus, she isn’t there, so even if we can, how do you suggest we even get close to him in order to help him? Mila is still in a coma.” I could feel his internal battle with himself. “There has to be another way than to put you in that kind of danger.” “We can’t try different things and hope they work. Von’s life is in danger. We have to act now.” “We can’t put you in unnecessary danger, either. If we do this, we need a
“No? What do you mean, no? She looks just like he ordered!” Brittany put her hands on her hips as she narrowed her eyes at him. I turned towards him and got the satisfaction of watching his eyes travel down my body. They paused on my tits and the curves of my hips. “Do you not like the dress?” I asked, teasing him. “Not when it is for that dirt bag.” Damian’s jaw the clenched tight. I felt his own arousal and hatred like it was my own. Just having this fling we are doing is keeping my wolf’s depression at bay. Helping in a way. “Brittany, we need to make sure Verna is good for the night.” Dom motioned Brittany to leave the room. “Smooth.” I muttered as he was walking out the door. His body froze for a second, but didn’t turn back around as he left. The door shut silently behind him. I was suddenly very aware that it was just Damian and me. Damian had walked up in front of me and put his hands on my hips. His grasp was a little painful, but I liked it. “He isn’t going to touch
“I don’t and will not get on my knees for any man.” I said so with much venom in my voice that I saw Mark falter, just a little. “Poor Dax. Oh, wait, you are with his brother now. I’m surprised as much as you get around that you don’t want to get on your knees for me?” Mark had an evil look in his eyes that made my skin crawl. Our waiter came by with two plates of Chicken Parmesan. The food would have smelled wonderful if I wasn’t so grossed out by my dinner date. “Let’s cut the crap and get down to business. I’m here. I want something in return.” “When the meal is done! Don’t make me repeat myself!” Mark slammed a fork down on the table. “Such a temper.” I muttered as I cut into my chicken. “You don’t want to get on my bad side. Try to control yourself. Or don’t and I can’t be held responsible for what I do.” “Threats won’t get you far. Lay a finger on me and not even the son of the Vampire King will save you from getting your head ripped off.” I said, extremely calm as I p
I was laying in my bed, tossing and turning. The sheets were wrapped around me, trying to strangle me. Damian was stuck in my head. Where was he? Is he here? Did he run off to another girl’s bed? Maybe if Cynthia is alive, he won’t want me? Will I want him if he has a kid? I mean, that child can’t be more than two years old. I finally had enough. Throwing my covers off me, I stormed out of my room and stomped my way to Damian’s room. My hand stopped in the air as it was about to hit the door when I realized I was wearing a white skintight, see thru tank and matching shorts that my ass cheeks were sticking out of. Lowing my hand, I stood there for a second, feeling stupid before I turned to leave. I had only taken one step when the door opened. “Sarah?” Damian looked half awake. “Oh, sorry! I didn’t mean to wake you. Um, I’ll go…” Turning to leave, he caught my wrist and stopped me. “What’s wrong?” He looked up and down the hallway before looking at what I was wearing. He was confus
Sarah POV I felt… energized? Pumped? Happy was not a good word to use, as I felt better than normal. My wolf was back to being her kick ass self. But she was pissed. Her pacing with her forever green eyes was… encouraging? She wanted blood. She was back to not only her full energy, but her full potential was now achieved. Her body was buzzing with power. My own body was buzzing with the power that was flowing through me. The bond with Damian was stronger than the one I had with Dax. It made little sense to me. Dax was my fated mate. Wouldn’t that bond have been stronger? The question stayed in my head as I finished my shower. I had slid out of bed before Damian woke up so I could get ready for the day. As much as I wanted to just lay there with him, I had so much work to get done that I had been neglecting. “Why didn’t you wake me?” Damian talked as he yawned. He had just walked through the bathroom door. “And why did you come here to shower?” “I didn’t have anything in your sho
“Should we call Silas to watch it with us?” Mom asked the room. “No, he may not want to see what is on the tape.” Dad said grimly as he started plugging it in. “Have you guys heard from him?” I asked as I leaned back into Damian. “Shit, he has called every hour asking for an update. Threatening to go beat the shit out of everyone to find him. I can’t blame him though. I’d do the same for you.” Dad said. “All done.” We all stepped back as dad inserted the VHS into the player, then pressed play. Static erupted for a few minutes before Von’s face filled the screen. Von was tied to a chair with chains. His face was bloody, body was bloody, and he was missing an ear. I felt Damian’s body stiffen as I realized there was another person tied to a chair. She was a tiny little thing with short blonde hair. Her face was also bloody, but not near as bad. That must be Cynthia. They were outside in a field as the wind was blowing softly. Not sure if I needed the reassurance or if I was givin
Damian was confused as he looked down at me. “Of course, anything!” He got on the couch beside me and put his fingers under my chin so I was looking directly at him. “Whatever you want, you can have.” “Don’t talk to Cynthia without me? I know you probably have so many questions and with a possible kid but I can’t help it. I just have this nagging fear that you will take her back.” My eyes got blurry suddenly. Damian pulled me into a hug as my emotions just spilled out. We both knew it was for selfish reasons, but I couldn’t help it. “If that’s what you want, then yes, I’ll wait.” He again tilted my head to look at him. This time, his hand stayed around my neck. “I wasn’t lying. I love you, Sarah. I will always choose you.” Damian planted a soft kiss on my salted lips. I held on to his wrist that was around my neck, as I just needed this contact. I knew what I was getting myself into, but that didn’t make it easier. “Thank you.” I muttered as he pulled away. He kept his forehead o
I had slipped out of bed before Damian got up. We stayed up most of the night. He kept his promises and tied me up. I just needed a minute to myself to gather my thoughts. The nerves were settling in anticipation over what was going to happen. I’ve had to pee every five minutes since Damian kept shoving water down my throat. A cold wind assaulted me, telling me that Damian realized I wasn’t in bed. His cold hand found my hips and turned me around. “I suggest you stop making this a habit.” He said, sleepily. “I just needed to gather myself. It’s going to be a long couple of days.” I had rested my head against his chest. “You used my shampoo?” “I wanted to smell like you. For myself and then hopefully it would keep them at arm’s reach.” I said more quietly. Damian’s body stiffened before his arms circled around me. “I swear, if anyone touches you in that way, I will rip their hands off and kill them.” “Good visual but I rather not have to think about that.” “You doon’t have t

Damian POVI watched her perfect ass walk to the bathroom. I had to hide a laugh as her legs were still shaking. I needed a minute. Sitting on the couch, my mind went over the last few hours. I wasn’t sure what happened but when I saw Dax’s ghost, my heart sank. Then he had the little boy but the worst part was that Sarah wasn’t shocked to see him. She knew he was there. She must have talked to him. I tried to keep the doubt from filling me that she would have chose him. “Damian.” A voice I thought I’d never hear again was clear as day.My head instantly shot up. I was in complete disbelief to see Dax standing in front of me. My mouth opened a few times but nothing came out.”Wa-”“The Moon Goddess is allowing me a five minute visit. I came to tell you that she is all yours. She has accepted I died and she loves you with her whole heart. I was never meant to live through this. This was always how it was suppose to work. She saved you as much as you saved her. It’s cruel how things end
Our bodies froze as I pushed the knife in until I felt his blood run down my hand. Twisting the knife counter clockwise at 90 degrees, I made sure he wouldn’t survive the tree days it would take to suck his soul out. “NO!!” Astra yelled out as she watched Grant fall off me, holding the knife. His eyes landed on her as blood seeped from his eyes, nose and mouth. Kicking him away from me, I grabbed my side breathing heavily. “Give it up. You are finished!” Astra’s eyes went straight back as she chanted something before lifting her head up and screamed. Black smoke formed between us as a sort of bird manifested in front of me. It looked like a Raven but beefed up. Maybe more like a dragon but either way, it’s beady red eyes were focused on me. I reacted on instinct as my shield went up right as it shot something white at me. It was like little daggers hitting my shield so hard that it caused me to fall to the ground, under the pressure. The creature didn’t stop it’s attack. T
I had no idea what to do. Running back into the hut, Maverick’s laugher became background noise. Sliding on my knees, I skidded to a stop, right in front of my mom. Her body was cold as ice. “MOM!” I yelled. Shaking her, she did not respond. I didn’t even think before pulling my hand back and slapping her arm across the face. Nothing. She didn’t move or even flinch as my hand made contact with her body. I looked frantically around, for anything to help. My eyes landed on Dax’s name. Glancing over quickly at Astra, she was still saying an chant. As quietly as I could, I tiptoed my way over to the shelf and uncorked Dax’s vial with shaking hands. The smoke shot out of it. Before it knew it, a ghostly figure that reselmed Dax stood in front of me. “You have to stop her!” Dax looked at me with urgency. “How? What do I do?” My heart ached for him. “I could knock the cauldron over but she could just pick it back up again!” “You can do this. You need to think. Your mother and you joined
Everything had darken as it looked like not a single ray of sun was hitting these trees. Cages of monkeys were hanging from the branches just above my head. They were thrashing around with a crazed look in their eyes. My heart kept breaking as we slowly walked deeper into the heinous environment. Baskets lined the path with a variety of items. Some where of insects and some where of different spices or herbs. The smell is what caused me the most discomfort. Rotten flesh or decaying fecal matter is so potent that I not even sure it will come out of these clothes. As the path opened up, there was three huts in a half circle at the end of the path. A firepit at in the middle with a cauldron resting on top of it. Purple smoke was going straight up through a small opening in the trees, creating a dome shape in the canopy. “Let’s continue the tour, shall we?” Maverick gestured to the first hut on the left. Glancing behind me, the trees had closed around the path we just took as it was no
Staying on my hands and knees, I slowly waved my arm out as I scooted forward. That stupid chair should be here, somewhere. Finally, my fingers grazed passed the cold metal as the boat shifted to the left. My stomach did a little twist that raised all the hairs on my body. I better not get sea sick in here! Picturing what the chair looked like, it would be easy to just melt the metal into one solid rod that I could sculpt. It was hard doing this in the dark but I was able to heat the metal up enough that the chair was now bent in a little cube. It was slow work for sure but using on hand, I was able to squeeze it together and pull out until it was shaped like a spear. While the metal was still hot, I extended my fingernail and started putting in grooves in a spiral down the rod so it looked like one giant drill bit. Unfortunately, I had to wait for it to cool before I could see if it was even going to work. With my other hand on the wall, I moved it around until I felt the crack of
“What is that?” Tom whispered quietly as he got close to examine the bite mark. “A vampire bite.” I said, casually. All three men and two wolves turned their head to look at me. “W-what?” Tom and Maverick asked at the same time. “She wouldn’t tell us what we wanted to know so we got…creative.” I shrugged. “By turning her into a vampire?” Tom asked. “One one vampire’s bite can make a change like this…” Maverick trailed off. “Winner winner, chicken dinner.” “You-you intentionally turned her into a vampire?” Tom asked, appalled. “Technically, no. Von is newly immortal and most not understand self control but my heart isn’t breaking for that bitch. I’ll kill her before her transformation is complete.” “Fucking ice princess….” Tom said as he pulled her shirt back down. “I’ll go get the food.” Maverick muttered as he walked into town. “Why ice princess?” I laughed as I walked to a tree and sat down. “You are literally choosing to be here. You could easily go invade her comp
“Shit!” Cynthia whispered as she pulled me to the floor. Should have known there was a security system. “Oh bummer…” I obviously faked concern. “What does Damian even see if you?” Cynthia said through clinched teeth. “Not much to look at and you have a mouth that gets you into trouble.” “Not sure what to tell you.” I smirked as the front door opened. “WHO’S IN HERE?” A voice boomed. The smell was human and as I peaked out from behind the clothes, he wasn’t going to chase us very far. Apparently, Cynthia made the same observation. As the police officer walked in, we made our way to the front. Sprinting quickly, we ran out the front door. “HEY! GET BACK HERE!” He bellowed. His breathing was already heavy as he exited the door. We were already in the woods and in a full sprint by the time he even hit the grass. “Burg… (deep breath) i-in progress… (deep breath) send-send help…” is all we heard. We were far enough that his voice became a whisper to us, but we kept running in case a d
“Not sure how to make that much clearer for you!” Cynthia looked at me with hate-filled eyes. It was all I could do to stare back. She had to find a human to sacrifice to prove her loyalty to Astra? Well shit. We weren’t going to fully break her. I doubt any amount of torturing will make her give us what we want. Maybe we can use this to our advantage? Von was looking at me, waiting for the go ahead, and Cynthia had put her head down as her breathing leveled out. “What are you thinking?” Damian mind-linked me. “She isn’t going to break. We are going about this wrong. It would be the same if I commanded you to not speak. You wouldn’t be physically able to say anything to whomever.” “Hmm.” “We need to change tactics. Let her think she is giving us bad information and use her to take us to them. We can’t wait for the eclipse. That’s too long if they have already cut mom and dad with the knife. Just follow my lead.” I said to Damian. I really hope this works. “What if I told you
