Thank you to all my loyal readers for staying with me as the story keeps going!
*Graphic scene. ATTEMPTED assault. Their laughter died out as they left the room. It took me a few minutes to catch my breath. I had at least one broken rib. Hurt like a bitch but nothing serious. I’ve had worse. “Are you okay?” Mom asked, sounding slightly worried. “I’ve been hit harder.” I said between breaths. “I still have my wolf, though.” “Yeah, me too. Keep that to yourself.” “Are-are you really Damian’s mate?” Cynthia asked. “Yes. Does he have a child?” Tears welled up in her eyes. “Yes. They took him from me. I don’t know where he is though.” That hurt worse than the punches I just received. I wasn’t going to give him his first son. “What is his name?” “Colton James. He is a spinning image of Damian. He is just two years old.” “Alright, well, I am Princess Sarah and this is my mother, Queen Nina.” Cynthia’s eyes widened at us. “We are going to work on getting everyone out of here. You will need to do exactly what I say when I say it. Keep your mouth shut for n
My body froze hearing the voice. “Mark!” It was a female’s voice, but I was already so broken down that I don’t think I could handle much more. Looking around, I found the cattle prod. The door handle was jiggling, so I ran quickly to the door. Right as it opened, I jammed the rod into the girl’s stomach. I watched in horror as her body shook uncontrollably before she passed out. Staring at her body, I was unsure of what to do. What if she wasn’t the enemy? Not sure why should would be out here though. Should I kill her? Just leave her here? If she wakes up, she could alert the whole pack. I would be screwed. She appeared to be in good condition and there wasn’t any blackness surrounding her. Maybe I’ll just leave her unconscious and wait and see how this plays out. As I started walking away, a hand reach out and grabbed my foot. “Bitch!” Shit, chose wrong! Without even thinking, I kneeled on her chest, grabbed her head before twisting it to the side. I heard the snap of her neck
I watched in horror as a silver streak fell on my mother. Throwing herself to the left, she barely missed it. “This isn’t over Grant!” Mom yelled as she got to her feet. She stayed crouched down, ready, for another attack. “One day, I will have our soul around my chest. Locked away for me to torture when I feel like it.” Grant’s eyes were truly evil. A huge growl shook the ground as relief and tears flooded me. Dad. Grant glanced over and realized his time was up. “Until next time!” He holstered the knife and just vanished with a loud POP into a cloud of smoke. “He’s going the wrong way!” Mom said. Mila’s words crossed my mind. “Find Jason.” Mom looked at me before running off towards the east to find anyone. I had never felt more alone than I did right now. Bruises, gashes, and burn marks covered my body. I had a chunk of glass penetrated into my chest, although I didn’t think it was that deep. My throat was sore from being choked by the chains. My eyes had started to shut wh
“That place was destroyed…” Dad muttered. “Yes, well, we fought. The bruises around my neck are from a chain. The burn marks are from a cattle prod and, well, we fought. In the end, I bit off his dick and watched him bleed out before I pushed his body into the fire. The claw puncture marks are from that chick, whoever she was. I had to stop the bleeding…” “The doctor was able to cut that out and clean that up.” Damian said through gritted teeth. “Mom and I made it to the packhouse, well you know the rest.” There was a knock at the door. Damian went to see who it was. His body stiffened as worry passed through him. “What?” “Can I see her?” Cynthia asked. “No, I-” “It’s okay, Damian. Might as well get this over with.” I said. He didn’t like it, but moved so she could enter. Her body froze as she realized my parents were in the room as well. I could tell she was second guessing her actions. “Come in.” Mom said, trying to sound nice. They were also a bit skeptical of her. “I
"Silas and Von.” Damian said as he made his way over to the door. “Why is that a big deal?” I whispered to Dom. Dom rolled his eyes at me as the two men came into the room. Von looked a little better, but still a little worse for the wear. “Dear Princess Sarah! I can’t express my gratitude for saving my son.” Silas opened his arms wide as he got closer to the bed. His eyes traced my neck, assessing my injuries. “You’re welcome. I hope this will be a good start to working together in the future.” “Of course! You will forever be in my dept, which is why I insisted on coming to see you now. I have certain… healing abilities as the Vampire King. My saliva will help heal you faster, faster than even your wolf is capable of.” Damian folded his arms and let out a warning growl. Ah, now I understand. “Thank you for the offer, but I don’t think my mate would appreciate that. Everything, other than my ribs, is all superficial, so I should be back on my feet soon.” “Very well. If you chan
“WHOA!” Damian said as he grabbed my wrist and pulled my hand out of his pants. I felt a little rejected. “What’s going on?” He wasn’t angry, more concerned than anything. I felt the lust in him, but he kept pushing it down. “I just…need to feel you. I need to get closer to you… to…” I wasn’t sure how to say what I meant. I almost died, and I just wanted to reconnect with him. On a more intimate level. Just want that connection. I didn’t know how to say it so I just pushed my feelings into him. I let him feel what I was feeling. He closed his eyes as his body shuttered from the unexpected feelings. When he finally did open his eyes, there was so much pain in them. “What if I hurt you?” “I’ll heal. Be gentle, but I need this. I need you.” I whispered in his ear as I curled into him. His arms wrapped around me, barely touching me but keeping me in place. This was my safe place. “Let me know if I am hurting you.” Damian muttered as he placed kisses on my neck. My head turned on it
“What’s that?” I asked. “Astra needs to drink it.” The room went silent as the reality sank in. “Drink it?” Reed asked, shocked. “Yeah. The rocks are great and all, but I’m afraid it isn’t strong enough to hold her. I can keep her out of places, but to keep her in is another story. The only way I can be 100% certain it will force her to show herself is if she drinks it.” “And trapping her with the rocks isn’t an option?” I asked, just to make sure. “Not really. I mean, I made them to keep her out, not in. But it wouldn’t force her to show herself and we couldn’t kill her in she was in it and we were on the outside.” It made sense, but still a major bump in the road. “How are we going to get her to drink the potion?” “Maybe slip it in her tea?” Kelly offered. “That would work if she is drinking anything.” Reed added. “No, it won’t. She needs to drink it straight. We can’t mix it.” Mila said, a little more forcefully than needed. She was a little agitated. “Oh” Kelly said.
“I’m not really too worried. You know my skeletons, so it is what it is. I just need to know if I have a kid out there.” Damian was very irritated at the thought of not knowing. “I do, but I don’t exactly want to do this. That is what every mate dreams of, going down memory lane with his ex.” I said sarcastically as I stood up. “Don’t get up. Just ask a warrior to bring her to us. I rather you not walk about the palace trying to find her.” Damian came over and urged me to sit back down. “I’m not a glass doll.” Muttering under my breath, but he still heard me. However, I did as he wished and sat back down and relaxed into my chair. My ribs still hurt when I moved, so I did feel better. “Please locate Cynthia and have you brought to my office immediately.” I mind-linked the guards around the palace. No one actually verbally responded, but they got the message and I felt their acknowledgement though the link. “Send the message?” Damian asked as he pulled a chair to sit behind my

Damian POVI watched her perfect ass walk to the bathroom. I had to hide a laugh as her legs were still shaking. I needed a minute. Sitting on the couch, my mind went over the last few hours. I wasn’t sure what happened but when I saw Dax’s ghost, my heart sank. Then he had the little boy but the worst part was that Sarah wasn’t shocked to see him. She knew he was there. She must have talked to him. I tried to keep the doubt from filling me that she would have chose him. “Damian.” A voice I thought I’d never hear again was clear as day.My head instantly shot up. I was in complete disbelief to see Dax standing in front of me. My mouth opened a few times but nothing came out.”Wa-”“The Moon Goddess is allowing me a five minute visit. I came to tell you that she is all yours. She has accepted I died and she loves you with her whole heart. I was never meant to live through this. This was always how it was suppose to work. She saved you as much as you saved her. It’s cruel how things end
Our bodies froze as I pushed the knife in until I felt his blood run down my hand. Twisting the knife counter clockwise at 90 degrees, I made sure he wouldn’t survive the tree days it would take to suck his soul out. “NO!!” Astra yelled out as she watched Grant fall off me, holding the knife. His eyes landed on her as blood seeped from his eyes, nose and mouth. Kicking him away from me, I grabbed my side breathing heavily. “Give it up. You are finished!” Astra’s eyes went straight back as she chanted something before lifting her head up and screamed. Black smoke formed between us as a sort of bird manifested in front of me. It looked like a Raven but beefed up. Maybe more like a dragon but either way, it’s beady red eyes were focused on me. I reacted on instinct as my shield went up right as it shot something white at me. It was like little daggers hitting my shield so hard that it caused me to fall to the ground, under the pressure. The creature didn’t stop it’s attack. T
I had no idea what to do. Running back into the hut, Maverick’s laugher became background noise. Sliding on my knees, I skidded to a stop, right in front of my mom. Her body was cold as ice. “MOM!” I yelled. Shaking her, she did not respond. I didn’t even think before pulling my hand back and slapping her arm across the face. Nothing. She didn’t move or even flinch as my hand made contact with her body. I looked frantically around, for anything to help. My eyes landed on Dax’s name. Glancing over quickly at Astra, she was still saying an chant. As quietly as I could, I tiptoed my way over to the shelf and uncorked Dax’s vial with shaking hands. The smoke shot out of it. Before it knew it, a ghostly figure that reselmed Dax stood in front of me. “You have to stop her!” Dax looked at me with urgency. “How? What do I do?” My heart ached for him. “I could knock the cauldron over but she could just pick it back up again!” “You can do this. You need to think. Your mother and you joined
Everything had darken as it looked like not a single ray of sun was hitting these trees. Cages of monkeys were hanging from the branches just above my head. They were thrashing around with a crazed look in their eyes. My heart kept breaking as we slowly walked deeper into the heinous environment. Baskets lined the path with a variety of items. Some where of insects and some where of different spices or herbs. The smell is what caused me the most discomfort. Rotten flesh or decaying fecal matter is so potent that I not even sure it will come out of these clothes. As the path opened up, there was three huts in a half circle at the end of the path. A firepit at in the middle with a cauldron resting on top of it. Purple smoke was going straight up through a small opening in the trees, creating a dome shape in the canopy. “Let’s continue the tour, shall we?” Maverick gestured to the first hut on the left. Glancing behind me, the trees had closed around the path we just took as it was no
Staying on my hands and knees, I slowly waved my arm out as I scooted forward. That stupid chair should be here, somewhere. Finally, my fingers grazed passed the cold metal as the boat shifted to the left. My stomach did a little twist that raised all the hairs on my body. I better not get sea sick in here! Picturing what the chair looked like, it would be easy to just melt the metal into one solid rod that I could sculpt. It was hard doing this in the dark but I was able to heat the metal up enough that the chair was now bent in a little cube. It was slow work for sure but using on hand, I was able to squeeze it together and pull out until it was shaped like a spear. While the metal was still hot, I extended my fingernail and started putting in grooves in a spiral down the rod so it looked like one giant drill bit. Unfortunately, I had to wait for it to cool before I could see if it was even going to work. With my other hand on the wall, I moved it around until I felt the crack of
“What is that?” Tom whispered quietly as he got close to examine the bite mark. “A vampire bite.” I said, casually. All three men and two wolves turned their head to look at me. “W-what?” Tom and Maverick asked at the same time. “She wouldn’t tell us what we wanted to know so we got…creative.” I shrugged. “By turning her into a vampire?” Tom asked. “One one vampire’s bite can make a change like this…” Maverick trailed off. “Winner winner, chicken dinner.” “You-you intentionally turned her into a vampire?” Tom asked, appalled. “Technically, no. Von is newly immortal and most not understand self control but my heart isn’t breaking for that bitch. I’ll kill her before her transformation is complete.” “Fucking ice princess….” Tom said as he pulled her shirt back down. “I’ll go get the food.” Maverick muttered as he walked into town. “Why ice princess?” I laughed as I walked to a tree and sat down. “You are literally choosing to be here. You could easily go invade her comp
“Shit!” Cynthia whispered as she pulled me to the floor. Should have known there was a security system. “Oh bummer…” I obviously faked concern. “What does Damian even see if you?” Cynthia said through clinched teeth. “Not much to look at and you have a mouth that gets you into trouble.” “Not sure what to tell you.” I smirked as the front door opened. “WHO’S IN HERE?” A voice boomed. The smell was human and as I peaked out from behind the clothes, he wasn’t going to chase us very far. Apparently, Cynthia made the same observation. As the police officer walked in, we made our way to the front. Sprinting quickly, we ran out the front door. “HEY! GET BACK HERE!” He bellowed. His breathing was already heavy as he exited the door. We were already in the woods and in a full sprint by the time he even hit the grass. “Burg… (deep breath) i-in progress… (deep breath) send-send help…” is all we heard. We were far enough that his voice became a whisper to us, but we kept running in case a d
“Not sure how to make that much clearer for you!” Cynthia looked at me with hate-filled eyes. It was all I could do to stare back. She had to find a human to sacrifice to prove her loyalty to Astra? Well shit. We weren’t going to fully break her. I doubt any amount of torturing will make her give us what we want. Maybe we can use this to our advantage? Von was looking at me, waiting for the go ahead, and Cynthia had put her head down as her breathing leveled out. “What are you thinking?” Damian mind-linked me. “She isn’t going to break. We are going about this wrong. It would be the same if I commanded you to not speak. You wouldn’t be physically able to say anything to whomever.” “Hmm.” “We need to change tactics. Let her think she is giving us bad information and use her to take us to them. We can’t wait for the eclipse. That’s too long if they have already cut mom and dad with the knife. Just follow my lead.” I said to Damian. I really hope this works. “What if I told you
