"Babe, come on. I just don't understand why you're throwing a tantrum over this." Zeke said, walking out of the bedroom. He wasn't understanding why his girlfriend was getting worked up over his association with Aly. She was his girlfriend before she even came into the picture, and she wasn't disrupting their relationship in any way.

" You're spending much more time with Aly than me. It's always Aly this, Aly that," she argued.

" Babe, you are always out with your friends, clubbing and partying. Even when we do hang out, it's for a few minutes, and then you're off to another place with your girlfriends. How many times do I spend with Aly?" he replied as she stood fumbling with her words.

" I thought as much," he said, walking out of the house for fresh air.

Did I make the right choice by choosing her?

Talia is a great person; all she has to do is limit her association with her friends.

I am not asking her to stop seeing them, but at least she can minimize her association with the

" Finally, some vengeance for mom," Xara muttered under her breath as she saw the news that her dad had been murdered by one of his inmates. She had never been able to let go of the hatred she had for him in her heart. Yes, her mom may not have been the best person on earth, but it was his fault. It was that man she called her father who changed her into the bitter person she was. But when she realized it wasn't worth it, he killed her. " Hey, ange---" Kai turned off the television set and sat closer to his wife, hugging her. "How do you feel?" he asked. " Honestly, is it bad that I feel no emotion? Actually, I'm relieved that he's dead. He wasn't the best father to me or the best husband to my mom. He deserves this and more." Xara said. " No, it doesn't. He made you feel this way towards him, but it's your choice to forgive him and rid yourself of this hatred and bitterness." Kai advised. " Thanks, baby," she smiled. " You are welcome, love. I gotta go get ready for a meeting. C

Ida and Mr. A hadn't really talked much after their date, but she was getting calls from a strange number claiming to be him. He sounded nothing like Adrian, so she decided not to answer his calls again. But the surprising thing was that he sounded more like the man she went out on a date with. What could be going on? She couldn't help but wonder: Instead, she was getting closer to Elon. He came around often and invited her to lunch most of the time. She was glad Elon was coming around, but why was it at the time she was beginning to like someone else? Why was he now noticing her after all those years? Her phone rang, snapping her out of her trance. “ Hi,” she answered, not looking at the caller ID. “Hey, love.” Mr. A spoke up. “ Hi, how are you?” she perked. “ I'm good, sweetheart; it's just that I miss you,” he confessed through the phone. “ And I've missed you too, babe; what's been going on? It's been a while since I last heard from you.” “ Yeah, I've been busy with wo

" Ah, I see you've done real good for yourself," Daniel said, bumping into Zac at the gym. He looked different from how he used to be. More stylish and more built. He seemed to be living the good life. " Yeah, I signed up at this sugar baby agency and got lucky with a rich sugar mummy. She's sexy, and she looks way younger than she claims to be. Bruh, I'm living the life," he bragged. " Good for you; at least you didn't end up with a broken heart." Daniel hinted. " Don't tell me she's still crying over spilled milk. She left me anyways," he shrugged unperturbed. " No doubt, but she loved you dearly, and you hurt her, which left her no other choice." Daniel defended. " Man, if you love her that badly, then go for her. You two would make a great couple." " I don't double date; I'm not you, Zac," he scolded. “ Whatever, Aly would get over this soon, so don't bother much about her. She got this," he chuckled. “ Good for you; anyway, I wish you all the best with your newfound love

A slap sounded across the cafeteria as everyone gasped, and Nova let out a shrill cry. " What's going on?" Jax rushed to the scene as soon as he spotted his sister. " Jax, she slapped me," she held onto him. "Bitch, get off my man before I bitch slap you," Brynn said, prying Nova off of Jax. " What happened, Giada?" she asked her best friend. " The bitch called me a wannabe model and poured a cup of juice all over my outfit, messing up my hair and clothes. She deserved that slap and more." Giada fumed. " She what?" Brynn screeched, ready to attack her, when Jax stopped her. " She's not worth it, and everyone get out. There's nothing to see here; showtime is over," Jax yelled as everyone went about their business. Nova stormed off angrily after the embarrassment, yelling about what and how she was going to get revenge on all of them and whatnot. " Do you have spare clothes in your locker or the car?" Brynn asked her friend. " In the car," she said walking out to get fresh clot

" Hey K---, oh, I'm sorry, I'd come back another time." She shut the door, running to Brynn's room. He wasn't her boyfriend, but seeing him with another woman hurt so bad. Couldn't he see that she liked him? Or he didn't feel the same way towards her? " Babe, isn't he in his room?" Brynn asked her friend as she shut the door to her bedroom. " He's kind of busy with some random hoe," she said bitterly, sitting on her friend's bed. " Sorry, I guess love isn't made for some people," she said, passing a snide comment at her. Brynn had been acting up lately, and she didn't know why. Could she have been behind Nova's attack? No, Brynn could never do that to her. But what if she did? What did she do to deserve such a thing from her? "Umm-I-umm, I gotta go. I have something to do with Jax. See you later." She bid picking up her phone and heading to the door. " Elon!? Get your behind down here and help me make breakfast!" Aly yelled as Giada burst into laughter. When Jax left for Sean's place, Aly came home to pick up Giada since she was alone, and they decided to stay a few days at Elon's after packing their bags. " Why should I ?" he replied in the same tone she used as Ida walked through the door holding a huge breakfast basket, which was more than enough for the four of them. " Never mind, Ida brought us breakfast," she said, cleaning up the mess they had made in the kitchen in the name of preparing breakfast. " Did you just say Ida's here?" He descended the staircase two steps at a time. " In flesh and blood," she winked at Aly as Elon neared her. He hugged her tight since it had been a while since he last saw her. She had travelled on a business trip for the past month. " The food would get cold, and I'm starving. Can we eat now?" Giada asked after a while as they all headed to the dining table. The food was at the centre of the

Giada had been ignoring Brynn like a plague after the incident at her house. All this while, she thought she was her best friend, but she was rather the devil in disguise. What wrong had she ever done to her? She had only shown her love and kindness, nothing less. It wasn't her fault; she was better at modelling than Brynn could ever be. " Hi," a girl said, sitting beside Giada during lunch. She seemed familiar, but she couldn't place where she had seen the girl before. She was brown-skinned, not too tall, and had the deepest dimples she had ever seen. The girl was absolutely gorgeous. " Hi, I'm Giada, and what's your name?" She spoke up after a while. " I'm Ayanda Chibaana, a South African. I just got transferred here," she answered. " Sorry for asking, but have you by any chance been on a runway, a shoot, or on TV because it feels like I have seen you somewhere?" Giada admitted. " Yes, I have been in some ads on TV," she confessed, being surprised at how Giada was able to make

"You're the one who's doing the most, girl." Aly got Ida excited when she walked into her office. She was relieved that Ida and Elon had grown closer and were spending more time together. At least there's hope they're going to be together someday. "How come? What happened?" She pretended to be unconcerned about her friend's outburst. " I know you two had a fancy date yesterday, acting all lovey-dovey." Aly winked, gently removing the wine glass from Ida's grasp and sipping it while sitting down. "You know we've been going on dates a lot, so what makes you think yesterday's was any different?" She smiled at her friend, unable to hide her happiness. " Because of this one, you can't seem to hide your happiness. There's a glow to your skin. Some undefined happiness. Should I go on and on?" Aly questioned her friend. " Fine, fine. Yesterday's was quite different from the rest. It was the best I've been to. I admitted. you happy now?" she replied. " Yes, yes, I am. I'm glad you're hav

EPILOGUE.A FEW MONTHS LATER... The deaths of Raelyn and her twins had spread like wildfire. She had planned a fake death to claim half of her husband’s property, and now she was dead for real. Penny stood in front of her daughter’s tomb silently. She had been buried with her twins a couple of weeks ago, and they had come to visit her tomb with a couple of friends . She could neither cry nor scream because she was numb. Never in a million years had she expected the death of any of her children. Raelyn was the black sheep of the family, but she was still her child. She did a lot of terrible things, but that didn’t mean she should have died that way. Bel stood behind the crowd, observing with a small smirk on her face. There was no one to brag about her riches any more. “ Hey,” Anika said, tapping Bel on the shoulder. “ Hi, how are you holding up?” She asked Anika. “ Numb, terrible, horrible. I lost my best friend, Bel,” she sobbed.“ I know; she was mine too. I know we had petty sq

“ Seems someone is glowing,” Alyona teased Ida. Her relationship with Elon was blossoming into something beautiful. He had finally gathered the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend, and she was over the moon. That was what she had ever wanted, and now that it was here, she was more than grateful. "No, I’m not; it’s just been a while since you last saw me,” Ida defended."Whatever you say, for all I know and what I can see is that the d*ck is good,” Aly said, smirking, making her friend blush in the process. “ Ah, seeing how dumbfounded you are, I guess I am right on the fact that you’re getting a good f*ck from my brother, Since you’re happy, I am happy for you... You’re welcome,” she goofed. “ You do know you’re one weird child, right? Who in their right mind tries to find out from her brother’s girl if his d*ck is good enough? No one but Alyona Maximilian!” Ida scolded. “ Eeh,” she shrugged, making Ida laugh at her childishness. “ Enough about me, Aly; what of you? Zac is gon

“ I’m going to freshen up and come back; don’t sleep, Ida,” he said to her, making sure she was awake. “ You can join me in the shower,” she flirted."Um, are you sure about that?” He asked to be sure of what she was saying. And also, to be sure, she wasn’t saying it out of exhaustion.“ Yeah, I am," she confirmed. Elon entered the room, locking the door behind them. He helped her take off her shoes . Ida walked into the bathroom to give Elon space to change, or at least get out of his clothes. She stood in front of the mirror, splashing water on her face.Did she want to do this? Was she ready for this? Yes! Heck yeah! She’d been waiting for a moment like this, and there was no way she was messing it up. No way. She changed into her towel in time before Elon walked in. He shut the bathroom door behind them, locking it. He looked sexy. Ida couldn’t take her eyes off his perfect body through the mirror. He moved to stand behind her with his hand on her waist. Ida had started working from Elon’s office, as agreed in their contract. Though she didn’t get to see him every day, she was enjoying the moment while it lasted. He had to travel out to make sure his father’s other businesses were doing well. Xara had someone in charge of her company, and Alyona also checked in on them occasionally, so they were doing fine. Her kids were actually happy she was out traveling, trying to make the most of her life since her other half was no more. Xara was getting better as the days went by. She always had journals for every country she visited, and she was on the verge of publishing some of them. Just a little editing here and there, and she was good to go. Life in itself is not balanced. She and her husband had a rough time, but when everything was going well for them, kids came along the way, and then priorities came next. They didn’t have that much time for themselves to actually enjoy their marriage. It was more of babies and working for them.“ Hi

“ You know she likes you, right?” Giada popped her head into her brother’s room after Yara walked out to the kitchen.“ Nah,I just think she’s just being there for me as a friend, nothing more, nothing less.” He shrugged internally, jumping with joy that his sister was talking to him. After her fallout with Brynn, she had hardly said a word to Jaxon, just because he was failing to see the horrible person she was. “ You’re in denial; I hope you realize it soon," she replied about walking to her room."Giada, wait,” he said, making her stop in her tracks, wondering what he wanted to say to her.“ I know I haven’t been the best brother in the world to you. I’ve done stupid things that I am not proud of.” he paused.“ It’s fine, Jaxon; I know you didn’t mean all that you were doing; even if you did, it’s fine. "Oh, I miss this." Elon found himself saying after they had finished their lunch. He hadn't gone out in a long time just to have fun and unwind from work. He had also realized that, despite what had happened between them, he still had feelings for Ida."Yes, I do, but priorities have shifted, and you're now the busiest man I've ever met," she chuckled dryly. He knew she was right. Everything was on his neck while his siblings went about their lives. Not that he was complaining, but he was allowed to live his life while running the Maximilian empire. His father had done it, and he could as well.“ I know, but can we take it slow? Put the past behind us and start all over," he asked, taking her hands in his. Ida was dumbfounded at that moment. Was she hearing right, or was she dreaming at the moment? “ Ida?” He drew her attention to what he was trying to say.“ I’d love that too,” she responded.“ About the business proposal you sent, which I am about to accept, it says I would be worki

Months had passed since Kai’s burial, and Elon had taken full responsibility for his father's companies, which wasn’t an easy task at all. Managing those businesses was barely giving him time to himself. Ida had to move back home since he was barely at home and saw no reason why she should stay in the empty house alone. Xara came home occasionally since her kids were busy with school and their lives, and she didn’t want to be a bother to any of them, so she decided to travel the world to see what that holds for her. She was trying to get over the fact that the love of her life was gone for good. “ Hey mama!" Giada’s new stylist hyped her up as she came backstage from the runway. Shane was an amazing stylist; he knew just the right outfit for each shoot or runway session and was a great person. His nickname for her sounded hot when he said it, but when other people did, it sounded normal. Being on the runway was her way of keeping herself sane after the loss of her dad. Everyone thou

Raelyn was six months into her pregnancy, yet she was glowing. Pregnancy was doing a great job on her. She wasn’t having any complications in her pregnancy except for morning sickness and cravings, and for that, Calvin had everything under control. With the way Calvin was treating her like a queen, she was thinking of rescinding her initial plan. Focus, girl, focus. She always told herself each time such a thought came to mind. She had mapped out everything, and she was going to make sure they fell into place if it was the last thing she did. “ Did Bel tell you she had gotten married?" was the first question Anika asked as soon as Raelyn answered her phone.“ Good morning to you, Anika,” she said, ignoring the question.“ Did she?” "No, Anika, she didn't, and I should be the one asking you that question; she’s your best friend now, and you both should know everything about each other,” Raelyn replied, getting out of bed. Calvin had gone on a business trip as usual, and she was at ho

Maybe he didn’t want me here anymore. Ida lay on the bed, thinking. It had been a month since Kai had died, and Elon wasn’t any better. He acknowledged her presence but hardly spoke a word to her. His dad’s funeral was today, and she had to be strong for them. She could deal with her thoughts later. She had heard Elon when he was preparing to leave for the funeral grounds. He was supposed to be there earlier than everyone. She had heard a slight knock on the door but pretended to be asleep, so he left. She couldn’t face him yet at that moment. After her simple make-up, Ida slipped into her black self-portrait off-shoulder jersey midi dress. She secured the fascinator in her hair and then slipped into her 3-inch Loui Vuitton boots and grabbed her black clutch.
