Lucas sat at his desk, his eyes focused on the computer screen in front of him. He was going through some reports that his team had submitted, but his mind kept drifting to Andrianne. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off between them.

He tried to push the thoughts to the back of his mind and concentrate on work, but they kept creeping back. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, trying to clear his mind. It was then he realized he couldn't tell Andrianne the whole truth about his birthday night. The thought of lying to her made him feel sick to his stomach.

As he opened his eyes, he couldn't help but wonder what Andrianne was doing at that moment. Was she still upset with him? Was she thinking about him like he was thinking about her?
