Andrianne slowly opened her eyes, feeling the warmth of the sun shining through her window. She stretched her arms and legs and sat up in bed. She rubbed her eyes and let out a deep sigh, her mind still foggy from sleep. Then she remembered her father's call and quickly reached for her phone to check the time. It was already past 9 am.

She got out of bed and walked to the window, staring at the clear blue sky outside. A few moments later, Jackie came into the room, carrying a tray of breakfast.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," Jackie said with a smile.

Andrianne turned around and returned the smile. "Morning, Jackie. What do we have here?"

"Your favorite," Jackie replied, setting down the tray. "Pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs."

Andrianne's stomach grumbled in response to the delicious aroma. She sat down at the table and dug in, but her thoughts were still on her father.

"Jackie, I need to talk to you about something," Andrianne said, putting down her fork.

"Sure, what is it?"
