5. Elemental

I was looking out the window, curious to see what rogues are.

Leon was already outside, looking ready to fight.

'Ivy? What is going on? What are rogues?'

'Well, let's say that they are the bad guys in the werewolf world. They are like Leon but bad. All they want to do is destroy.'

'Oh, I see...'

'They are here! And they are looking for you, Amaya!'

'For me? But why? How do they know about me anyway?'

'They can smell you! You are a female and a strong one. You would be just perfect for their evil plans to take down the Alpha King.'

'Well fuck them then! I am not an object! I am a... a... whatever I am. But for sure not a toy!'

I shout through the mind link in frustration.

'You will need to help Leon! Do you know that? He is a strong one. But there are too many. Just be careful, Amaya, as rogues can play dirty.'

I nod my head and take a deep breath before I get out of the house and join Leon.

"What are you doing here, Amaya? I thought I told you to stay inside!" Leon shouts without taking his eyes away from the forest.

"You know I can't do that when I know the reason they are here," I said, pointing at the trees.

Exactly how Ivy said, over twenty rogues merged from the forest.

They looked feral, with blood on their snout and body and eyes like the ones that haunt you in your worst nightmares. You could see the wild part took over a long time ago, so the human was now watching from the back seat, unable to intervene. 

"You should stop there, rogue! This is the territory of Alpha King! Who are you, and what do you want?" Leon said in a deep voice.

You could feel the power that was emanating from him.

The rogue that was in the front of the others stops in his tracks, making all of the ones behind him do the same. He growls and shifts in front of us.

I look slightly away, not being used with nudity.

"Oh... she is the shy type." the rogue said, noticing my act and started laughing. All the others were barking or growling.

"I asked you something, rogue! Are you deaf?" Leon shouts, annoyed by the uninvited guest behaviour.

"I don't care about your Alpha, beta! He is not a King for me or my people! I am a rogue, as you just called me. As for the second question, I'm sure you know very well why we are here." The rogue said, eyeing me lustfully. 

"I don't! So, please, tell me!" 

"What are you trying to do, Leon? Do you think it is a good idea to provoke him?" I ask in a whisper.

"Amaya, they are here for you, and nothing will make them change their minds. So provoking him is not the problem. The problem is how we will get out of here... Or better said, how we will stop them from kidnapping you."

"Have you done yet? I don't have all day! You better hand the female to me, and we will let you be!" The rogue said in annoyance.

"The female has a name! And I am not an object for you to take as you like, you moron!" I shout back.

"Oh, so not that shy after all. I like that!"

"Fuck you!" I added, earning a chuckle from both Ivy and Leon.

"Such a spirit! Take her and kill that fool!" he orders, and in the next second, all the other rogues start running towards us.

"Stay back, Amaya! Or even better, get inside the house! As a new wolf, you might not be able to fight! And I don't want you to get hurt!"

Leon said before shifting in a large dark brown wolf. I look at him, amazed by his stature and the way he fights the rogues. He was so gracious and deadly.

'What should we do, Ivy?' I ask through the mind link, still looking at Leon, who was killing rogue after rogue. There were about seventeen left now, but I could see that my new friend was getting tired. I couldn't stay and watch him getting killed. It was me he was fighting for, after all.

'Whatever you choose to do, I'm with you, Amaya!' Ivy said, and it was all I needed to know.

I start running toward Leon, who was now fighting three rogues at the same time. He had a few scratches on one side and a bite on his left-back leg.

I shift mid-air and start fighting next to Leon. He looks at me for a second and shakes his huge wolf head. I mentally roll my eyes and resume what I was doing.

Half of an hour later and still more than ten rogues alive. I was breathing hard, and I knew I wouldn't be able to keep looking for long. 

'Damn this rogue!' I said.

An ear-deafening scream made us all stop and look to my right, where Leon was held to the ground with a silver blade at his neck. He was now in human form, showing off all of his nice chiselled body.

The one who was threatening his life was the rogue leader.

"Shift back!" he yells at me, and I shake my head. 

I won't let them have the pleasure to see me naked.

"Don't do it, Amaya! They will kill me anyway, and after that, they will take you away! You need to run!" Leon said just before the rogue punched him in the face.

"Shut the fuck up, Beta! You are so pathetic!"

"Shift or I will kill him where he stands!" the rogue shouts again, and I decide to do as he asks, afraid to lose my friend.

"Happy now?" I said sarcastically with my hands on my hips, letting them see all of my naked body.

'Good move, Amaya!' Ivy said, chuckling in my head when she realised I had done this to distract them.

I high-fived her mentally and started to laugh like crazy.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" the rogue leader asks. "Take her!" he then orders to his companions.

"Uh-uh!" I said, lifting my head in front of me for them to stop while shaking my head.

"What are you doing?" I heard Leon yell-whisper.

I let my hand fall to my side and look around me. I needed to know the exact position of all of the rogues, not wanting to miss any of them.

"Not that fast, boys! You messed up with the wrong female!" I said, emphasising the last word.

In the next moment, they all fall to the ground, ice arrows stuck in their chest.

"What the fuck?!" Leon asks with wide eyes getting up. 

"You are an elemental?!"
