Chapter 47

Christina’s POV

I continue on my journey to the palace. “We will be there in a few hours,” Quinn reminds me. She also reminds me she will be asleep for a few hours while the eclipse takes place. This will be the first time she will have left me since she arrived. I am nervous about it, actually. Out here alone, anything could happen. Then I hear multiple screeches from above me and my nerves disappear. I will not be alone.

Quinn runs as far as she can before she shifts. At least the palace is within sight. There are no guards around, though. The palace ought to have had better protection. Quinn becomes restless and antsy. I have never known her to be like this. “Are you okay?” I asked her. “Yes, I just have this feeling that things are not as they should be.”

“They are probably nearer the palace for everyone’s safety. Don’t be nervous, Quinn. It was our first time without each other. I will be here when you wake up.” I also reminded her I am not a bad fighter and that I

I'm pretty sure the author has something up her sleeve, this was to easy!! My guess is mommy has done something foolish!! She's the only pov we haven't heard from!!
